I would highly recommend going to a different gym. There are so many great options in Houston…read more I visited EoS on Friday, September 4th, with my wife, who is a member at another EoS location. I took a tour with the GM and ultimately decided to move forward with a membership. While reviewing the results from what I believe was my body scan, the GM asked me if I had high blood pressure. I told him that I had never been diagnosed with high blood pressure. He then told me that I had high blood pressure by looking at your sheet. That immediately concerned me. The GM is not a medical professional, and I don't believe someone at a gym should be making or presenting a medical diagnosis based on a body-scan reading. Looking back, that was the moment I should have walked away instead of signing up. Unfortunately, I did move forward with the membership, but I will not be returning to EoS. There are plenty of other gyms in Houston, and based on my experience, I would recommend considering another option

The weights focused classes always seemed to move too fast, other classes too cardio-based,etc. Well BFT has the perfect balance of all of the above but more importantly, it's done right! The trainers/coaches really pay attention to form and making sure you are getting the most out of your workout while staying safe. They also take the time to learn about you and your goals so they can "push" you in the right direction. BFT is more than just a gym, it's a community. I was injured by their equipment which is mostly second hand horribly maintained throughout the facility. I made a verbal report to the owner through the front desk staff and I offered a solution. I returned to the gym a few days later and was frustrated when I nearly injured myself in the same manner due to the same faulty equipment. I immediately approached the owner who informed me that my her gym was protected from any liability because all customers signed a waiver and that I should be more careful! I informed her that the waiver would likely protect her from some liability but not from the gross negligence on the part of Befit gym due to the fact that MOST of the equipment is in poor repair and they are aware that they are putting patrons in safety risk! She argued me to the point that it became a hostile environment. He became Karen! She wouldn't even allow me to file an incident report. I had them cancel my membership. I am now moving forward with litigation. I do not recommend this gym to anyone . UPDATE: the gym doesn't appear to have any liability insurance or an incident reporting process. After I inquired about the two, the owner unbeknownst to me, made a criminal complaint to the police alleging some fictitious claim as an attempt to shield her business from liability in future litigation. Had one of those type officers arrived, I could be dead. Please do not patronize this business. It is not a safe environment for any of US!
