I've been coming to Illuminate Sweat for sometime now, regularly! And EVERY single time I'm here I'm welcomed, treated with kindness, respect, enthusiasm and overall a warm welcome that they are just grateful to have me apart of the family. And I'm not even official there if you will. I'm still on ClassPass but changing that bc I genuinely want to support this team and place of business. Also, the other most important thing is that I thoroughly enjoy my / the workouts and people here. I'm constantly being pushed to be and do better but never shunned if I have an off day. Also, I want to clarify that the energy I spoke about is not just towards me. It's with everyone that comes here. Illuminate is top notch bc of these things and I'm so happy I found a place that makes my days fire! All my best, Katie read more

I highly recommend Illuminate Sweat. I've exercised for most of my adult life. Tried everything from personal training sessions, self-directed individual training to CrossFit. I've experienced moderate success, but since I've been coming here for the last two years, my body has transformed dramatically and the best part is I don't have to plan or even think about it. I just show up 3 to 4 days a week and they take care of everything else. I cannot recommend this gym and the staff more. Also incredible group of people that work out there. Can't imagine going to a better place. read more

Illuminate Sweat - Me and the owner, Colby - Circuit Training Gyms Near Me - Houston, Texas

Came with a friend and enjoyed my experience. I felt welcome and I got a quick rundown on the equipment and the class format before things started. The lighting to align with workout intensity is a nice touch. Music was a bit loud and I felt a full court press on the sales front to get me to sign up for a membership....(but hey, that's what businesses do I guess) Easy to find and plenty of parking in the lot. read more

This is seriously the best gym. Great programming that encourages consistency and helps you reach whatever fitness goals you have as an individual. The coaches are all great and the classes are fun. The lights and music add to the energy and the equipment is well kept and it is a clean facility. They also have a mix of cardio and non cardio classes which is great. Also very beginner friendly but can also accommodate an advanced level. I love this place!! read more

I tried out illuminate sweat through ClassPass, and I have to say, the workout itself was fantastic! The trainers were knowledgeable, motivating, and really helped push me through the session. I also appreciated the energy of the space--it's a great place to get a solid workout in. That being said, the sales tactics here are beyond aggressive. I expressed some interest in their promotional packages but ultimately decided not to sign up. Since then, I've been receiving calls *every single day*. Mind you, I have had them blocked, yet they still keep trying to reach me. It's excessive and honestly feels like harassment. I understand that salespeople have quotas to meet, but this level of persistence is way over the top. If you're looking for a great workout and don't mind dealing with relentless follow-ups, this place might be worth trying. Just be prepared to dodge daily phone calls--even after blocking them--if you don't sign up immediately. read more

Illuminate Sweat is a great workout, great coaches, great music. Very motivating! Love the location and variety of workouts.

I've only tried one class so far, but I had a great workout & enjoyed my instructor! Loved the lighting & the fact the room is nice & cool!

I love everything about the gym. The people are amazing, and the workouts are great. I feel so much stronger and the nutrition coach (Brendon) helped significantly. read more

The instructors were great, very motivating and knowledgeable. Members are nice and equipment is well kept.

Sweat is amazing!!!! Best group fitness in town! Olivia was so personable and helpful with my goals

Colby and staff are amazing and great classes to choose from . Very accessible and plenty of parking .

The location is nestled a few turns into an array of office buildings and the studio was difficult to find. A few of the entrances into the parking lot were *closed*, necessitating finding an alternate route around the block and into the parking lot. Unfortunately, this studio has a 5-minute grace period that was not communicated when booking the first class. Arriving at the front desk at 5:07 AM, I was not allowed in the 5:00 AM class. Poor communication and terrible customer service. They're not only lost my patronage, but I will not recommend them to my community of fitness enthusiasts read more

I went to this gym in class pass and now have been a member for over a year. The owners Julia & Colby make you feel like family. The trainers are so passionate about helping and getting to know all of their clients. I walk in now and everyone knows each other by name. You basically walk into a group of friends who want to empower each other to be healthy! COME JOIN US! read more

The coaches are very knowledgeable and supportive. The workouts are challenging and get results but can be adjusted to any fitness level. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend illuminate sweat. read more

It is the perfect hour to get your sweat on! I have been going for a few months now and Emily has been my coach in the classes I have been going. I absolutely love her so much! She has helped me so much and taught me so much about how strong I actually am! She has been such a fun coach to get to know. I highly recommend trying out illuminate sweat if you are looking for a great work out and to challenge your self. I use to work out at another studio and I would always come out of there with so much back pain but since I have been here I have been feeling great!!! read more

I have been coming to Illuminate Sweat for 6 months now. What keeps me coming back are the personable trainers and the effective classes. Classes - The classes are similar to Orange Theory but I prefer Illuminate Fitness because the workouts involve less cardio and more weight lifting. Also, the instructor pays more attention to your form and will help correct as you go. Since it's a new gym, the equipment/facility are very clean. I appreciate the smaller classes and never had a problem getting in. You will have to purchase or rent a heart rate monitor -- I like this feature because it lets me know when I need to step it up and when to slow down. Pricing - it's more expensive than Orange Theory and other gyms I've been to. I think it's because this gym is niche for preparing people for professional body building competitions. Staff - I've never had a bad class. The trainers/instructors/owners are positive, supportive, and take the time to understand your fitness goals. What matters the most is that they're ethical and I've never felt pressured to sign up for more classes than I need or a longer membership. 8 Week Challenge - If you're signing up for one of these, be prepared to dedicate time for meal prep and attend classes 3-5 times a week to see the results. You have to trust the process. The experience was educational and I will be participating in the next one starting in a week. The only constructive feedback I have is to give a heads up about carb cycling. I wasn't prepared for the sudden change in diet and had bought too much of the wrong groceries. Personal Training with Nate - Gym machines were intimidating at first and deterred me from using them because I didn't know how. I had 5 training sessions with Nate where he educated me on proper form and how to use every machine in the gym which came in handy in the classes. Having someone who understood my body and progress helped make my class experience at Illuminate feel more personalized. COVID-19 - It's dicey when exercising in a room with people you don't really know. I'm willing to take the risk to attend classes in person because they are diligent in sanitizing the equipment and stations after each class. During class, every person wipes down their stations before rotating to the next one. Masks are required when entering the gym and rotating stations in class. Each class has around 6-15 people who attend regularly. I try to go to the 10 AM, 12 PM, and 7:30 PM classes because there are less people. Suggestions for Improvement - They recently added more 7:30 PM classes. As someone who prefers later workouts, this is a plus. I hope to see them expand their schedule as they grow their business. Stretching is something many people overlook when doing high intensity work outs. I'm guilty of this and wish there was a dedicated 5 minutes after class to walk us through proper stretches that match the targeted body areas we just worked out. read more

Personally training in a group setting... you can see the difference! Form and technique is stressed which makes a big difference in my workouts and how I feel afterward. It's good to have someone there teaching me how and what to do. Love the muscle isolations. You definitely can see the results! read more

I have tried many gyms and studios in the Houston area through ClassPass. However, I decided to join Illuminate Sweat because I love the atmosphere and workouts. The trainers are friendly and helpful, I have received some great pointers throughout the workouts that I never received before (who knows how many years I was doing things wrong!). I like that there is a great mix of cardio, calisthenics, and weightlifting. The programming is on point and works different muscles throughout the week. In my experience, they set each workout up so that you can have a decent workout whether you are a beginner or workout fanatic. I started out not being able to do a "girl" push up to now being able to do 20+ strict pushups. The gym is easy to get to from i10, there is plenty of parking and it is clean (masks required and cleaning between stations). If you go in the mornings Emily and Kendal have great playlists! read more

Great programming, beautiful facility, coaches are top notch

Love the class, the instructor and the venue! They have all the amenities you need and received a warm welcome as a new member!

I stumbled on Illuminate when I was at a Halloween charity event and bidding on silent auction items, one of which was two personal training sessions with Colby Gibson. (I didn't actually remember bidding on them because I had probably already drunk too much at that point.) Colby contacted me a few days after the auction ended and we setup our initial appointment. I figured I'd burn through the training sessions and maybe purchase a few more but probably wasn't going to commit to anything since I already had a gym membership elsewhere. After I used my two training sessions I immediately scheduled more and have been seeing him two or three times a week since. The trainers are some of the friendliest people you will meet but don't let that fool you, they don't go easy on you. They work with you every step of the way making sure to design a program that can help you achieve your goals. read more

I attend 3-4 times/week and I started to notice results within 3 weeks. It's nuts. I feel much stronger now and definitely more confident. I really like that there are a lot of options for cardio, aside from treadmills. The trainers explain the exercise, demonstrate it, and then correct if necessary. Come try a class! You won't regret it!! read more

Illuminate Sweat - Studio is super clean and well organized - Circuit Training Gyms Near Me - Houston, Texas

As a retired athlete that still enjoys getting some hard work done in the gym, I expect gyms to really be able to push my limits and make me sore the next day. Illuminate allows you to be self paced but the workouts are designed to get your heart rate going and fatigue you. The staff there has a lot of energy and they make sure you're exercising correctly and are patient with you if you're not knowledgeable in the fitness world. If you're nervous about fitness and/or need any type of assistance while working out, Illuminate is a great place to start and stick with because they have all the tools you'll ever need! read more

The workouts are challenging, but doable. Great way to get in and out. Worked out a lot of places and this is the first gym that includes strength training, cardio, upbeat energy and just a great group of people to workout with. Outside of the workouts, the customer service is amazing! Because I am finally consistent with workouts, the people that workout have been friends. They are motivating, listen to your concerns and if you want to be pushed, they are the perfect group of people that will do so. I truly love it here! Not sure what I would be doing if I did not find this gym. read more

Wow! This was awesome. I absolutely loved it! They have great trainers who taught me how to do the exercises the correct way, I had no idea I had been doing some of these incorrectly for years. They continually checked on us, gave us encouragement and motivation. It's a group setting so it's fun to work out as a team. You can do the workout at your pace so it works for all levels. I needed an intense workout and definitely got that. Will be back again and again. I brought three friends who all joined too! read more

Studio is amazing - staff are incredibly knowledgeable and the workouts are fantastic. The workouts themselves can be extremely challenging given the pace and HIIT style of the workout, but can also be adapted to individual comfort levels. My husband and I both love this studio and are delighted to recommend! read more

Great class and music was great! I'm definitely going back. The instructor was helpful and motivating.

Love love looooove this studio! The coaches are friendly, supportive and super knowledgable. Nate, Colby, Emily and Jourdan are excellent and I honestly can't wait to try Brandon's class as well. I love that they are not a corporate type facility because it brings a way less stuffy vibe! The hour long class is broken up between cardio, floor (free weights and such), power based cardio and rack...ya know with bars and heavy weights! I've never felt stronger and confident in a workout until this. Can't say enough about this place, try the 3 day pass and tell me how much you hate it. I dare you! read more

Love this gym and absolutely love the people. Give them a try and you'll never regret it!

Colby and his team genuinely care about the fitness and wellbeing of their clients. It seems like the full package. With their expertise, direction, training, different classes to target your needs along with the right food intake, it is really a no brainer for a feel good look good mind and body. It's really cool and dynamic class! Coach is awesome and also very clean facility. I'm coming back for sure.

Great workouts, great trainers, and welcoming to all from all levels of fitness. Fun, encouraging, challenging.

I am a member of both Illuminate Sweat and Illuminate Fitness. Hands down, these are the best group workout classes I have ever tried. There is something so special about the trainers and the staff that work here. I was getting bored with my old routine and needed a change of pace. I will say the first class kicked my ass in the best way possible and I became instantly addicted. I love the lighting and the awesome music, the interval training, the lifting combined with the cardio etc. You really can't go wrong with this place. All the trainers are SO supportive and always making you feel 110%. I love that they help with form and even when I've modified the workout; they still encourage me. The atmosphere is enough to keep me coming back and there is nothing like the feeling after crushing a workout. As far as cleanliness, they are top notch and have us cleaning and disinfecting as we use equipment during classes. The classes are also not too packed and they have a great set up with cardio machines, dumbbells, squat racks etc. 100/10 recommend if you're looking for your new gym. read more
