I am very very impressed with Mess Kollective services. I requested delivery at 8.50 am, and the courier came at 9.15 am!!! I ordered 1 hour delivery and it was delivered right on time, which was important since it was a birthday gift delivery. I rarely need to use a messenger service. I had an event production emergency and they fixes the problem, got the product there, and even took pictures on my behalf and text me because I couldn't be there in person. the messenger double and triple checked he had my order correct and was on stand by to even possibly do another run if needed. Before making the decision to send the messenger I had to call and ask a lot of questions and they provided me with the info and assured me they would be ready when I pulled the trigger. and they were. Rarely do services come through shining bright in my opinion. they are a super nova. read more

So fast, so polite! booked the 1 hour lunch special at 10:39am and package was picked up 10 mins later at my door (in Union Sq) and was delivered (to the high 60's in the UES) and signed for by 11:19am. I found this awesome company from watching the movie "Premium Rush" and researching more about it's production on IMDB. Apparently the movie was filmed on the back of the Travel Channel documentary show called "Triple Rush" and many of the bike messengers from the show were used in the movie as either stunt doubles or extras. Being a bike fanatic, I loved both the movie and the show. (Perhaps the show just a bit more.) "Triple Rush" featured riders from three different companies, and the one that stood out the most to me was Mess Kollective. It just happens that today I've had these packages that had to be delivered and for not much more than the cost of a Priority Mail package (AND minus the Post Office line) I can have my packages delivered by awesome people who make decent money riding their bike all around the city. How perfect is that? I can't tell you how happy I am about the quality of the service. On time. Happy Attitude. Perfect Professionalism. This is the most brilliant discovery for my life and business since... Never. Yep. The. Best. I almost want to find things to send to people to use them more. Mess Kollective is prompt, courteous and good to their employees. I always feel completely confident that what I need delivered will reach its destination on time and in one piece. We previously had some problems with other messengers picking up the wrong item, or not being able to deliver quite as quickly. This never happens with MK. MK is competetively priced, and their delivery people are all super friendly and built to ride. I used to use this service when I worked in NYC. I had an issue with his customer service one time and got threatened when I posted the truth the first time with cutting my company off just for asking when the parcel would arrive. This man is honestly so unprofessional and brings his emotions into it all, as you can plainly see in his responses below to people. Now that I dont work in the city, I dont care. this man borders on abusive to his customers, beware. As you can see in his original response to me, he tries to make it seem like I asked for something I didn't to intimidate me into taking down the review and it worked because I didn't want to create problems with my company. As I looked back and read some of the other reviews and how this man acts, it's pretty obvious he needs a lesson in manners read more

Incredible service. SUPER fast during NYC rush hour! First time I called, owner picked up and he was super fast in answering questions and getting me a quote, no bs. Sealed the deal under 5 minutes. It was like using one of those old school nyc services without all the bells and whistles and a million questions and check out my site, bla bla bla.... Needed the package super fast from UES to Dumbo and he got it to me in 1.5 hours in RUSH HOUR. Price for rush hour was easily cheaper than other services. I requested a messenger from midtown to pick up a small envelope that needed to be delivered in brooklyn. I chose the Slug speed, listed as $7 on the website. I knew the distance would add cost, but was never provided an estimate. When my invoice was sent to me (over a month later), my total was $40. I reached out to Aias simply asking for a breakdown of the charges. The response I got did not provide a breakdown (a list of charges but not assoicated individual costs), and was extremely condescending..."the reason for this should be easy to understand". With so many messenger services available, it blows my mind that they would operate under such poor customer service. I will not be using this service for personal or business needs again. read more

I have been using Mess Kollective for at least 10 years. That being said, their billing person (or owner?) Aias has terrible customer service, complains about the volume of their work, and refuses to take ownership of mistakes and their confusing UX on the website. My interactions with Aias have been increasingly terse. There are other messenger services in the big city, so if you enjoy dealing with a sassy, unhelpful and rude billing person (who is *too busy* to send invoices to correct address, make collections attempts in a timely fashion, and own the work) you will not be disappointed. Otherwise, stay away and go with a company that is more professional and customer oriented. read more

I first tried calling the number listed on Yelp but kept getting an auto-mated message about them not being able to pick up the call. So, I then went to their website and about 5 minutes later got a confirmation email and called the number listed in it (maybe it was the same, not sure). I was able to connect with the dispatcher who gave me the estimated price and told me the approximate window of when to expect the courier. I was able to pay either via their website or in cash to the courier. Johnny showed up on schedule and happily rode my package all the way from Lower Manhattan to Forest Hills Queens in about 2 hours...spectacular! Totally recommend this service and appreciate their low carbon footprint. read more

I told them how I needed a package to be picked up and delivered to somebody, they called me to confirm the details, and took care of the matter very speedily, even accommodating a slight change in schedule. A big plus was that after submitting my request, I was put directly in touch with the courier himself, who kept in really close touch with me through the entire delivery process.
