I attended the Pinners Conference on a whim and found that the convention center was just lovely…read more It's not the largest conference center I've been in, but it did have adequate space for the event, with the exception of parking. We had to circle the lot a few times to find a space but eventually did. It's easily located just off the freeway and near lots of hotels (or are the hotels located near the convention center?) Either way, it's an ideal setup to attract folks from out of town.

I want to be clear I am not rating the service or the facilities with this review…read more What I am rating is far more important than that in my opinion. I was attending the Charlie Kirk Memorial at the Dixie Center on 10/10/25 but I didn't agree with the selection of speakers the WCRP and UTGOP had lined up for this event. So I decided to use my 1st amendment rights to take a picket sign to the event that said "GOD BLESS CHARLIE" " but I don't think he would be happy with the speakers that have been chosen to speak for him." My wife (who has dementia) and I sat quietly on one of the stone benches in front of the Dixie Center and were in no way hampering any egress to the event. The management came out and asked us to move 40 ft further away to the "FREE SPEECH AREA" and I refused because I told them as far as I knew the whole country was a free speech area. They told me the WCRP had requested to have the free speech area enforced during the event. And if I didn't move they would get the sheriffs deputies involved, I told him I wasn't going to move. So shortly after he went over and spoke with the sheriffs deputies they came over and began to harass and threaten us with jail if we didn't move the 40 ft to the free speech area. Well this caused my wife a huge amount of stress, and I even felt she may have a stroke or heart attack. While I was willing to keep fighting for my GOD given rights and even go to jail if need be. I wasn't willing to put my wife in any more danger so I relented and decided to leave. But the deputies had to get in their last digs of disrespect, which made me sit back down. But my wife hollered at me so I got back up and started to leave again, and that's when one of the deputies put hands on me. I shook his hands off of me and told him I don't need any help leaving. Then they followed us to the parking lot to make sure we left. What that deputy did would be considered "battery" if you didn't know. The reason all of this happened is because the management "LIED" to me and probably to the deputies. And the deputies didn't do their do diligence and check to make sure that what the management was telling them was the truth. So because of this LIE my 1st amendment rights were violated! The lie the management told was that the WCRP had requested the free speech area be enforced during this event. I know this for a fact because I have talked to the people at the WCRP and asked them if they had asked for the free speech area to be enforced for this event, and they have said "NO". If you are a Republican and you know anything about Charlie Kirk, you know that makes far more sense than what the management is claiming. So if you want to do business that doesn't respect the "Constitution" then go to the Dixie Center. If you want to teach a business a lesson on respecting our rights and freedoms and the Constitution, find someplace else to have your meetings. If they will lie about this what else will they lie about? Do you want to take the chance of finding out how little integrity or morals this business has?

This time it was doing away with the original sportsbook, and relocating it against a nondescript wall deeper in the casino. Not a good look for us bettors. I was told that Station casinos has taken over this aspect of of our gambling vice. In so doing, I'm thinking Casablanca has given it the Ol' heave ho. The sportsbook has been transformed into a comicbook. Good ridden to the bank of TV's. Out you go ample seating. So long talley board giving the spreads. Usher in the new and unimproved thimble experience. A few roundtop tables, and I wonder what the line on the game is? In the place of the old sportsbook location, installed are yet more uninspiring slots. Yes slots are the bread and butter of a casino. But bread gets stale and butter will turn rancid before long. Before you know it, the Casablanca will lean toward its one time neighbor The Oasis. That remnant is a blight on the landscape of Mesquite. However that infection could spread west if ownership doesn't quit tinkering with what made this casino resort a success. The renovated rooms are nice, and getting rid of the buffet was probably the right decision. What's lacking is the once old school ambiance. Adding new this and new that may not have the desired effect. What may happen is that we'll decide to stay home and gamble on our phones. Or better yet, gamble on our phones while in a national park or sitting on a beach in Hawaii. With diminishing returns hovering, it may not be prudent to gamble on repeat business. Quick Tip: If you want a quiet place to hang, visit the business center next to the elevators. In all the years that I've been visiting, I've yet to see anyone (other than myself) in there. You could literally have a party and not have to worry about being disturbed. It's also five times bigger that the new sportsbook!

And we certainly let the food and manager know about the incredible service staff that we had. We both had massages and facials at the spa and I highly highly recommend. There was a little hiccup on the room when I checked in, but it was resolved by a skillful front office manager. I had the opportunity to talk with the general manager, and he was more than pleasant. I'm excited about booking my next trip back

My nephew came to Vegas for an intimate family wedding and Walter made everything so easy. The happy couple chose the same weekend that the "Life is Beautiful" festival was happening. The chapel was right in the middle of all of the traffic and Walter navigated through it with ease. We had to make a few stops along the way and we were accommodated with every request. He had plenty of beverages for both the adult and younger family members. Walter even has a iPad that has any type of music you could ever want. He even played "Going to the Chapel" for the happy couple. As a Vegas local, I can't imagine using anyone else for Transportation. He made us feel like we were a part of his family.

He has a great attitude and was super reliable. After the wedding he took us to The Linq Promenade. Every time we needed him he was right there. He even stocked up on beverages for my whole family and had a bottle of champagne for the happy couple. He overheard me talking to my sister about our plans the next day downtown and offered to pick us up again for two hours. I live all the way out in Skye Canyon! I trust Walter with my family so you can too. I highly recommend this company.
