Adam asked her to come in after hours for paperwork signing and key pick up. Adam then sent her a Facebook friend request. The other staff in the office are also rude and attempted to defend the issues they were informed about. To bad Adam does not spend as much time cleaning the properties he rent out like he does engaging in inappropriate behaviors with his female renters. Adam bullied my daughter and discriminated against me stating I could not have my service dog with me when visiting my daughter(I even have a handicap placard for my vehicle) The property had a STRONG STENCH of cat urine and my daughter and I spend hours attempting to steam vacuum the disgusting odor out. My 13 month old granddaughter received numerous bites all over her tiny body and Adam & staff tried to say it was mosquitoes when the bites were obviously too large. There was cat hair on the window sills and dust. The stove and oven were disgusting with grime and build up. The kitchen cabinets were sticky with buildup. Under the kitchen sink had a leak and upon further investigation it was obvious the leak had occurred for a long time,the wood was black in areas and soft. The dishwasher was unusable with grim and rust. The bathroom shower/tub had pain peeling off. There was back dirt and grime on all base boards. Renting from this company is a huge mistake,they rent slums.

I read an email from Dominic stating exactly what to say how to word it, with a note at the bottom of the email stating if he exposed this Dominic would evict him and black ball him so he wouldn't be able to rent in Las Cruces. You will notice many more 1 star reviews, read them fully. Do not trust the 5 star reviews the are most definitely fake. You will notice most of the 1 star reviews have a common theme. Unfortunately my sister still lives in one of his properties, almost 8 years now, and still the broken windows have not been replaced, my sister has taped over them in hopes to keep the pieces in place so the pieces don't continue to fall out and the whole become larger. For $2500 a month you would think he would make repairs such as that. I let everyone I know who is looking for a rental company to manage their homes, DO NOT CALL DONA ANA PROPERTIES, HE WILL NOT RESPECT YOUR PROPERTY. DO NOT RENT FROM STEINBORN & ASSOCIATES…read more First, I have to say I loved the house I rented, but I felt Steinborn & Associates treated me like dirt. I wish I would have read the reviews before I rented the house! (1) Within six months, sewage backed up in the showers. I called a plumber and there was a blockage in the sewer line. Steinborn & Associates said it was a new house (even though the owners lived at the property before I rented the house), they would not pay the bill ($183.71). There is no way two people (my adult son and I) could have blocked the sewage in less than six months. (2) The property managers NEVER answer the phone. They will only text or email. In addition, if you have any questions or complaints they refer you to the lease agreement. (3) Due to unforeseen circumstances, I moved to another state during my lease. I was specifically told they would list the property when I moved out and try to rent it to another tenant. I moved out in July and the property wasn't listed on the website until November (my lease ended in October). Based on this experience, Steinborn & Associates does not have the tenant in mind. I payed almost $2,000 for three months. This caused financial hardship. Again, I signed a lease through October, but Steinborn & Associates could have posted the property for rent in August. (4) Read the rental agreement! Apparently, I did not read the contract very well. Steinborn & Associates conducts home inspections. I have rented in several states and have never experienced this practice. The only reason I can think of is they are looking for signs of smoking or an animal (if you have reported that you do not have one).

Unfortunately, the cleaners were not professional cleaners. It took me 2 months to actually get it clean myself. I had no walk through with them, so I did it myself in writing complaining about all that needed repair. I dated it and had Karen sign it. The refrigerator was so noisy it kept me awake at night. She finally replaced it after a month with another old refrigerators that defrosted into the unit. I had to use a large pot inside to catch the water. No replacement for that. The apartment came with a washer and dryer that smelled bad and the dryer sounded like it was full of sand. No replacement for that. Any time she sent a handyman, except for one, they looked and acted like they lived on the street. I refused to let them in my apartment. The one that was a professional refused to do any more work for Karen because she wouldn't pay him! Because I complained constantly about the apartment and appliances she said she would let me out of my lease. I was gone in 6 months. I still have friends that live there and all have the same issues. I wish that a complaint would be made with the realtors association that they would actually check out. Karen Stull is a negligent landlord.
