BIG SHOUT OUT to the amazing Gilbert Poilce Department!!…read more Sunday 10/16 at 10:30 pm I was still awake and heard a loud noise from the front of my home. I turned on exterior lights then checked my Ring camera to see 2 guys trying to break my front door security screen. When the Ring light came on they ran away. I called the police and the dispatcher stayed with me on the phone until 3 officers arrived. These officers did a full property sweep then reviewed the Ring video. Turns out there were several other police cars responding by searching the general area. The officers in my home shared a description of one of the guys with the police cruising the neighborhood. The guys were found and arrested!!! This took all of 30 minutes since the incident occurred. The Gilbert Police department is exceptional!!! I am so grateful!!! Thank you Gilbert Police!

He was blocked in by undercover officers who asked him to walk to towards them and then he was handcuffed, following that they began a search on his truck and dismantled his truck and even had a dog search it. All of this was done on the basis that someone had just been arrested and gave out a description that fit my dads truck. He was let go but he was detained there for about 2 hours all for it to not be him and of course they found nothing. Then a female officer said "we and the dog didn't find anything, we hope to not detain you like this again" As if my dad was this big drug lord, when he's just a landscaper who was just getting off the phone with my to go heat up his lunch, he has diabetes and after the whole situation his blood pressure and blood sugar were high. This behavior just seems odd and uncalled for. Then we went to the Police station the lady was very quick to try and dismiss me with the usual "I dont know everything" before even letting me explain the situation or express my questions... i even started with "I dont know who to go to, so im hoping you can direct me to the right person" She gave me so much uncalled attitude and was no help.

A big thank you to Officer J. Cruz for his professionalism, kindness, and quick action once he arrived. Although there was a delay, he apologized, took my concerns seriously, and handled the situation with care. I truly appreciate the way he treated me. One area that could be improved is the non-emergency call response. I tried to discreetly signal that I was in distress by asking for a pizza, but the call taker repeatedly told me I had the wrong number and didn't recognize that I might have been asking for help. While I understand not everyone is familiar with these types of distress signals, I hope the department considers additional training so staff can better identify callers who may be unable to speak openly. Thank you again, Officer J. Cruz, for your outstanding service. You definitely deserve a raise and a promotion for addressing the situation at hand, right away once you arrive.

I called the QC non emergency line today due to multiple individuals racing up and down our street…read more I received a text that officers were dispatched and they found nothing. Funny enough, I was on 193rd for almost 2 hours waiting and NO OFFICERS showed up. I called the the non emergency line and was greeted by a very rude operator who interrupted me, placed me on hold after asking for a sergeant and then hung up on a citizen seeking assistance. I was interrupted throughout the call. I asked for a supervisor to call me back and receive a call from Sergeant Pierce. Sgt Pierce immediately interrupted me and asked why I requested a supervisor and advised that if I was going to interrupt him, he would end the call. This is the treatment we get for reporting bad service. Upon asking for his leaders info, he refused to provide me an outlet to get in contact with the chief or a superior. This is our QC PD people. We are asked to call non emergency if things occur in our community so that we can keep our communities safe and this is the treatment we get. Call occured on 1/14/26 @ 9:12pm.

One of them took my information and said I'd be contacted...that never happened. So I made multiple calls to the station as well as to that specific officer's extension. I left messages, I left voicemails, I requested a return call, and received nothing. Oh, you wanted a copy of the police report? Good luck with that, still waiting. Straight to the point, this department is completely lacking in professionalism and basic courtesy, but don't worry, you can always find one of Mesa's finest at your local fast food joint loading up for a night of writing citations and generating revenue for the city of Mesa. Before you buy into any of the positive reviews here, try doing a quick search on how many millions of dollars the city has had to pay out in settlements for the misconduct, excessive force, and wrongful death lawsuits that finally caught up to them, that will paint a far more accurate picture.

Apparently, the architect who designed and built the city's Civic Center was high on opium for the duration of the project. The buildings and parking lots are scattered in a random, hap-hazard layout. There are no directional signs indicating where anything is. Buildings aren't identified by either a name of the agency or a street number. The one exception is the Apache Junction Police Department, whose name appears on one side of the building, but some brain-dead fool stuck a huge tree in front of it, so it's hidden from view and can't be seen. The average IQ score of AJ's city leaders has to be in the minus 10 range.
