Scottsdale Fire Department - Italian Riviera: Capri/ Positano. Waters are so warms you can swim all day. I knew I was sick then, and my life would not be long.

Thank you 608/609/610 (I think those are the district area SDF responders who have been so helpful…read moreto me. You've been so kind to me. I'm very tired. It's exhausting to live with an extremely rare disease (1:1Million) which doctors in each ER has refused to even named despite my near decade journey to attain the $100M dollar drug of which my insurance pays approx. $800K a year, and that is just ONE of the many Rxs I take in a cocktail to keep me alive. When I arrived in Scottsdale I became on of the first 75 in the nation to attain the drug knowing I would have died if I had not gotten it. Or as Honor Health would call it, "Isn't this just anxiety?" as I would wall-walk, falling, or as they would shout at me, ridiculing me with a Prolonged QT and K+ level of 2.9 as I hit the floor with "thought I heard a thud!" Thank you for not treating me with dignity. The county removed that from me as you know by allowing my neighbors and management write long letters about me as my ambulation did not seem "real" and the disease seemed "fake" (despite my medical story having been published more than once and despite my work as an ambassador to a Swiss Lab with leading researchers; it's astonishing that people with HS educations were able to give medical and mental health evaluations to Adult Protective Services, having me taken away, therefore determining the quality of my medical care in the country, despite my medical records saying, "she has not mental illness". The Orphan drug I'm on a patient can't be on if there is a history of mental illness. But why would my life matter when APS could go to people who only knew me a few months ago and they themselves were drunk, on drugs, and as your former Captain Rose knows, violent, as he took me to the Mayo ER after I was knocked out cold by two of them. That's when I was accused of being a drug addict and drinker. I will never forgive myself for moving to Scottsdale and it's "crime-free drug- free " of violence, drug use, White Claw drinking in they daytime drinking poolside drunks who have had more agency over my body than me. The last years of my life destroyed by asking for help and living with integrity. Gratefully as I told the Special Agent who went over the secret file I was given that helped my understand why I have been so profiled and harmed (despite my being hired after weeks of interviews by an actual profiler (Robert Pekham FBI profiler) and the kind agent who did my State Dept clearance was as baffled as I was why neighbors and management had the power to interfere and hurt me, "We have your medical records." He took this back to D.C. Meantime my health continued to crash. And my spirit has been broken by the cruelty of it all. But through it all as I have fought for my life, the Scottsdale Fire Dept has shown up to help as the worst moments. Until two weeks ago as I lost my urine and lay on the floor in my own pee, needing to crawl. I have a heart monitor on right now. I'm hoping to find-out why the severe episodic syncope paralysis with loss of speech. The heat is now here. I will touch this disease out alone. As poet Rainer Maria Rilke once wrote, "When at bottom and in just the most important things, we are unutterably alone..." To all the members of each crew of SDF who has helped me, I am forever grateful for your compassion, kindness, caring, humor, and decency. You've helped me survive this awful, genetic disease everyone else wants to deny is even real. Thank you Michelle and Olana for all your kindness and Samantha too.

Thank you to the Scottsdale Fire Dept for their immediate help for two (unconnected) non emergency…read moreissues in our home. The first problem concerned an ongoing chirping noise from something in our house . We thought the chirping came from a smoke alarm. It only happened in the evening and went on all night. we called the alarm manufacturer who was not able to help. The Fire Dept arrived and put our minds to rest. The 2nd issue was when my husband tried to turn off the water to our washing machine, which he had done several times. However, this time the faucet handle came off in his hand. The water from the wall was shooting out in full force as the water started pooling on the floor. My husband went outside to try and shut the water off but was unable to. We called our plumber , who was more than one hour away and said he would get there ASAP. So again, it was the SFD to the rescue. We do appreciate the immediate response, the professionalism and overall positive experience of these wonderful men. We are lucky to have them as part of our community.

While we visited strictly to take advantage of their car seat installation program, I was extremely impressed with the new facility. (I believe they recently moved from their Indian School Road location.) I scheduled our appointment online, and Lori Schmidt / Community Relations emailed me back in a timely manner with our assigned time. We showed up this morning as scheduled and were extremely pleased with the service and attention to detail we received from Autumn and Ana who worked with us on getting our carseats installed. Not only were they both super friendly, but they went over exactly how the car seat should be fitted to our toddler and infant (coming soon). When we realized we'd need a different car seat for my husband's car, Autumn gave us her direct line so that we can contact her to get it put in properly later this week. And while all of this was going on, our toddler was extremely entertained by the firemen working at the station. They gave him his own Junior Fireman Helmet and smiled for a cute picture with him as well. In addition to our experience this morning, I've had a couple of other encounters with the Scottsdale Fire Department, and I've always been impressed with how quick their response has been and how professional they are. I feel like those of us who live in the area are in good hands with the team in place; which is a relief considering the crazy world we live in.

I was hit by a car, on my bike, in the crosswalk, at a stop sign on May 9, 2021. Bang to the street. So first up; Phoenix EMT's. Thanks. And you even took my busted bike up to the hospital. Phoenix Police. Thanks. No license, no insurance, no registration. She's in trouble. You were more than professional coming to the hospital. But how do I get a new bike ? John C. Lincoln Hospital Emergency Room. Thank you. I'm limping like Festus but I'm going to be Ok. You were concerned, you were professional, I should have listened to the ER Doctor. Thanks all, I'm still here.

I was using a large stroller that was packed and I had a large brand new Swiss Tech backpack that was packed with thousands of dollars worth of stuff. Plus I had money, gift cards, my credentials and valuables stuffing my purse. The woman who was following kept asking me personal questions and getting too close to me on the bus. She was creepy. I had one last place to go to and that was Target because I had gift cards for them and I remember getting off the bus and as I was walking into Target and the woman was right behind me so I turned to let her know that if she continued to follow me home I was going to call the police and that's all I remember. I woke two days later on a ventilator in the hospital. I was told that I had overdosed on fentanyl and meth by hospital staff who were treating me terribly. I told them that I don't do drugs and they ignored me. I was being discharged by my request and all of my belongings, thousands of dollars worth were no where whatsoever. The hospital staff said that I didn't come to the hospital with anything. It took me several days of calling the hospital, Target, the police and finally the fire department to find out that either the police or the fire department gave all my belongings to 'my friend'. WHAT FRIEND? I don't have any friends and I don't want any friends. The police said my friend, the woman I was with at Target and I told them that I was not with anyone especially the woman who was following me all day, in fact I was trying to get away from her. The police were and are being total idiots to me and saying that the fire department actually gave the woman my belongings because she said she was my friend and would make sure that I would get them back but I didn't even know her and she has not even contacted me so as far as I am concerned she almost killed me with her drugs and she stole my stuff with the assistance of the fire department and police who basically gave her my belongings which they had no business doing while I was unconscious and no breathing to consent to my belongings being given to a complete stranger who is a criminal. The fire department, the police, Target and the city of phoenix are all blaming everyone including me, the victim and AGAIN I am being robbed AGAIN and AGAIN nobody is helping me. I don't even want to live anymore.
