I'm a retired emergency trauma RN and once a nurse always a nurse, just like once a mother always a mother. Anyway during my twenty years working at 'The Big House', LAC/USC Medical Center/Trauma Center and Pediatrics Pavilion I maintained several specialty certifications and wore many hats each day including paramedic preceptor and trainer which was very challenging, rewarding and greatly enhanced my professional contribution in the EMS field and profession. I was able to gain much insight regarding how fire operations, station departments, tremendously lead impact, structured and coordinated local, regional, state and national emergency management services to benefit and improve the human condition and communities. I have never met anyone who is a member of fire operations, EMS who is just there. It takes a very dedicated person and team to be involved in fire operations and EMS and Phoenix fire operations, both firefighters and medics and the other EMS personnel present at the top level of quality, prestige, integrity and professionalism in the forum for public service. Like all other members of the world EMS community Phoenix fire operations consistently delivers exceptional service to their communities in a timely manner with respect even when they have to deal with undesirable conditions and or persons. A few times someone has called 911 for me and I was treated with dignity and respect by the fire department team which I really appreciated. Nice work dudes and dudetts, keep up the great work. You have been blessed with a wonderful talent, purpose and passion which you shall hear the glorious voice saying, " Well done, faithful servant, you may now enter the promised land ". read more
