They went above & beyond to be nice to me that night & I really wish I'd gotten their names because I would've sent them a thank you later. It has been 8 years since that happened and I am still sober. I think about that night often and the kindness I received especially since I was the one in the wrong & yet they made me feel safe & cared for. The whole dui thing sucked but all in all I had a great experience at the Mesa police department. Try your best not to get arrested but if you must do it in Mesa! & be up front with them. Police officers absolutely love when you tell them the truth Thank you to the Mesa police department for making what would have been only a negative experience into something positive! Sorry this review is so late but hey, better late than never.

My…read moredaughter arrived at the scene and asked to take his suitcase and belongings, he was just released from a recovery program two days before. They refused her request stating they would take them to evidence. Three weeks later I called evidence to see when things would be released, they denied having his things at all. I called Mesa Police and was told they didn't know where his things were, nothing was brought in from the scene. Weeks later I was told they apologized but they left his stuff at the scene by mistake. In his things were every last things he owned, jewelry, clothes, medications, his Bible, his photos and a black sachel full of psych medications, suboxone, and prescribed substance, that they said they left at the scene. The medical examiners office took photos of all of those things including the medications, but the Mesa Police denied seeing the sachel of meds. I requested the report 3 times after they closed his case to accidental fentanyl poisoning, it was never sent to me. I made a formal complaint to Internal Affairs, they took four weeks and wrote me saying only, "their officers acted accordingly", they closed the investigation. To them my son was a waste of time, he was an addict, another body to collect, more paperwork. Why ? Because it was not one of their children. Shame on all of you that overlooked the last memories we would have had of my son, shame on you for not investigating the cameras at the store that viewd who gave him the drugs and shame on you for the devastating treatment we recieved.

Funny enough, I was on 193rd for almost 2 hours waiting and NO OFFICERS showed up. I called the the non emergency line and was greeted by a very rude operator who interrupted me, placed me on hold after asking for a sergeant and then hung up on a citizen seeking assistance. I was interrupted throughout the call. I asked for a supervisor to call me back and receive a call from Sergeant Pierce. Sgt Pierce immediately interrupted me and asked why I requested a supervisor and advised that if I was going to interrupt him, he would end the call. This is the treatment we get for reporting bad service. Upon asking for his leaders info, he refused to provide me an outlet to get in contact with the chief or a superior. This is our QC PD people. We are asked to call non emergency if things occur in our community so that we can keep our communities safe and this is the treatment we get. Call occured on 1/14/26 @ 9:12pm.

When finding out the tickets are no good, the online description of the event did not state that you have to go to the Superior Chamber of Commerce office to pick up wrist band and an envelope. Per ticket is $13, plus it comes with discounted tickets to the Renaissance Festival and admits 2 for 1 at the Boyce Thomson Arboretum. Superior, AZ has a history of mining and established in the late 1800s. This review is my experience of the two-day events and touring historical buildings. Day 1 of the Home Building Tours: When we got to the townsite of Superior (Main St.), we saw people have a map in their hand. We asked a person where they got the map. She told us to go to the Chamber of Commerce. We went inside, it was confusing because no one told me that we have to go to the purchase tickets table. Good thing, I asked and that's I found out that we need a wrist band to tour the houses and building. So, I stopped in other tables I saw the map and behind the map was the events for two days. We chosed to do the hiking at the Legends of Superior Trail. It's about a two-hour guided hike through the old highway going to Miami-Globe. Pictures and a review will follow. In addition, toured the Magma Hotel, which beautifully restored inside. There one photography artist that I would recommend to visit, it's not for all. The studio contains black and white photography (contains soft nudity photos). It's up to you how you interpret her art. If you talk to the artist you'll understand her vision. The name of the studio is Colemann Alley Images. Lastly, we decided to tour the Old Superior High School (which is privately own). Inside the high school is fully furnaced with furniture from Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas. The owners made it they're home but now in the present, it's an LDS youth retreat gathering. Day 2 of the Home Building Tours: We checked the renovated houses. It was cool to learn about the history of each house and to see what people did to preserved the integrity of the architecture. It was a day to explore Main Street and check out the downtown restaurants. Overall, the two days exploring the Town of Superior was an excellent experience. It's a good day trip and to learn something new about how small towns form in Arizona.

Cute enough little town, but not many businesses were open. We enjoyed the few stores and the hike…read morethough.

That's minuscule! The MAJOR issue, was "law enforcement" not knowing the LAW. Then the other officer telling her. 'You can't film inside of a store, that's where their rights end'..... so the question is. Y'all are recruiting officers, and putting them on the street to enforce laws they don't even know. Then a sergeant is called, and he thinks making someone uncomfortable is a crime... he should've gotten out, heard the statement, went to the ladies and said, "what they're doing is writhing their constitutional right" and walked off instead of in so many words telling the guy he's weird. Police chief also said, 'they're human and make mistakes' police can't make mistakes, when police make "mistakes" people die, people get hurt, not to mention, people can get wrongfully convicted. I follow things like this because I was lied on by the police in norfolk, Va. never was in trouble before that, but that taught me that no matter how well you do in life, police will harass you and trump up bogus charges just cause, so I have a distain for police in general, they violate our constitutional rights everyday, but we're suppose to follow the law. Fuck that. We need more auditors to show how much of a joke policing is
