I had to make the hardest decision literally of my 35 years to put my sweet old man down, he was 13 and my world. Although it was something no one ever wants to do this staff and doctor helped make the worst day a very special yet lovely experience despite the circumstances. Just wanted to say to anyone who has to make the hard decision how empathic, & incredible everyone was here. If you need to make the hard decision with your baby this truly is the staff to make the decision with. Thank you guys for caring & loving bubba . They even gave me prints of his nose & paws I remember them asking that day & I do know I said yes but I also was in such a tunnel vision of heartbreak I had forgot until I picked his ashes up & saw how special it was. I am grateful for this office and for all of those who make an extremely stressful situation a little easier for me!! Thank you to all.

For weeks, I had tried everything I knew to help ease her irritation--scratching nonstop, patches of missing hair, clearly miserable. Nothing was working. A close friend highly recommended her veterinarian here and loved them so much that she insisted on calling to see if they could squeeze Sasha in. To my surprise (and huge relief), I was able to get a same-day appointment within the hour--which felt like a miracle. When I called, I spoke with Jerry, who was incredibly patient and kind as I explained everything I was seeing with Sasha. She reassured me and let me know Sasha would be examined by Dr. Luken, which immediately put me at ease. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted--and yes, Sasha too. Despite everything she had been through over the past few weeks, she was so excited you would've never known how uncomfortable she'd been. That alone says a lot about the welcoming environment here. One of the coolest surprises? They truly treat animals of all kinds. While waiting, I saw a bearded dragon (which honestly felt mythical )--like an iguana/lizard mix straight out of Australia. It was gnarly in the best way and reassuring to know this hospital is trusted with such a wide range of animals. You can absolutely rest assured your pet is in good hands. Sasha was promptly examined and given a clear, thoughtful treatment plan, including a shot, medication, and a prescription. Everything was explained thoroughly, and I never felt rushed. The staff here is beyond amazing--kind, warm, and genuinely caring, like family. I'm honestly not sure why this place doesn't have an even higher score, because they truly deserve it. I highly recommend Woodside Animal Hospital. They treat your fur baby like their own, and that kind of care is priceless.

However, a couple weeks ago I asked to have tests done when I took my Pepper in for her annual 'trim'. After not hearing back from the vet, I called a week later (Monday). I was told the doctor called and spoke with me the Monday before. I didn't have a call. They told me he would call later that day. Nothing and I actually called later that day and they said he would call. The next day I called again. I later received a call from someone who left a lengthy message that my Pepper had high values for kidney tests, and what I should do (change the diet and bring her back in 3 months for another test). Imagine my shock to get this type of message, something like that requires a 'live' conversation. That evening I left a voicemail asking to be called back the next day. Nothing! I am very disappointed in the lack of concern for me as a parent, that the vet's lack of customer service and empathy indicates the climate has changed at this vet hospital.

We saw Dr. Ty Blanche, and the service was truly phenomenal. As new livestock owners, we were pretty nervous going in especially since we've never dealt with a situation like this before. Waylon had nasal discharge and a cough, which is really concerning in young goats, and we were feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do (especially with places like Tractor Supply no longer carrying livestock antibiotics). From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel comfortable and taken care of. Dr. Blanche was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She was extremely informative and answered all of my questions thoroughly. You can tell she genuinely cares &she is amazing! We also have a full house of animals five dogs (ranging from a Cane Corso to a Yorkie), goats, and chickens, with plans to continue growing our little farm so they will definitely be seeing a lot more of us. I'm extremely impressed by the level of customer service and top-tier care we received. This was our first visit, and it definitely won't be our last. They've gained lifelong clients and patients in us. Hopefully, we won't need emergency care again anytime soon but if we do, we know exactly where to go.

Last Friday, they called me toward the END of the time window they were supposed to arrive, to say that the appointment before me took longer than expected and they would have to reschedule. That annoyed me greatly. They rescheduled for the next available appointment a week later. Frankly I felt like they should have cancelled someone else's (first) appointment to have my dog seen sooner since this was their second cancellation of my appointment. Today was the third rescheduled date. I just got a call that, sorry, they have to cancel, I should call to reschedule. What is wrong with you? I thought I'd try this place out and see what their prices and service were like. I have a vet for my other two senior cats, but I`m willing to shop around. I showed up on time and checked in. The front desk person seemed disorganized and not friendly. It felt a bit chaotic in there and it wasn't even busy. How is that possible? I gave them my coupon and waited to be seen. Waited, waited, waited. That wasn't a big deal. I have patience and I understand stuff happens. Finally I`m called back and the vet assistant is also not really friendly but I stick with the appointment. She weighs the kittens and looks over them. She tries to sell me on their pet wellness plan for kittens, which is actually quite expensive compared to the insurance I got. I didn`t want a sales pitch right away. Then she said the doctor would be in. More waiting. More waiting. At this point, I thought about leaving because we were in there a LONG time. The doctor comes in and doesn't introduce himself, looks disheveled and a wreck. I am now committed to this appointment, so I let him look over the kittens. The first thing he says is, "yep those are kittens". Then he mumbles that he forgot something and leaves for like 5 minutes. I`m pretty much done at this point. He comes in and gives a quick exam, not really doing anything at all. He says they look good and that I should get some testing(not even sure what he said honestly) and that I could get that cheaper elsewhere. Then he leaves and the vet assistant comes back in, asking if I want to schedule their follow-up. No. No, I do not. I said I need to check my schedule and I`ll let them know. We go back to the waiting room and wait...and wait some more. Painful at this point. They give me that copy of wellness exam proof, but didn`t have any other notes(because the doctor DID NOT DO ANYTHING). They give me little baggies with some cat food and a key chain with their name on it. Then the vet assistant tries to sell me on their wellness package again and seems annoyed when I said no. If this visit is indicative of what it is normally like here...hard pass. I`ll go to my other vet and get my kittens established there. Oh, to top it off, they gave me a receipt that has their wellness fee($99) zeroed out, like they gave me $100 worth of service for free. I wouldn't have paid $10 for that "service". Eeeesh.

During the exam, the vet told me he'd never seen this before. I thought, "are you kidding me?" So, he said we ought to biopsy the lump to see if it might be cancer. At the time, I was concerned so I opted for this procedure -- at $550. As it turns out, the lump is not cancer, but a cyst. To treat the cyst, we have $21 of antibiotics. And, it appears this is treating the condition. However, I don't believe the vet when he said he'd never seen this. I think he knew he could "sell" us on the biopsy knowing that he could have recommended giving the dog the antibiotics to see if the lump improved. If it didn't, he said surgery would be recommended for the cyst or a cancerous tumor. So, what I suspect is this. While I'm sure it's ethical to do the biopsy, he could have tried the antibiotics first and then see how things go. My feeling is they are looking to "impact revenue" rather than offer a more conservative approach that might save money. I feel like we were taken in this regard. Rather than find ways to save you money, they seem to find ways to spend your money.
