During normal businesses after hours we came home to our long time pet rabbit brutalized by our family dog. My husband instantly started searching for cremation services that led him to call this business. I'm surprised by highly rated they are because the person who answered laughed when my husband described to him my rabbits death. Unprofessionalism didn't end there as he continued the insensitivity when my husband starts asking them about their services, which are very overpriced. Around $300 they'll pick up and dispose and you'll never see your pet again (man on the phone laughed at us more saying this) and $950 for them to return the remains to you in an urn. I do not recommend using their services if you don't have to. I ended up taking my boy to Urgent Care Pet Clinic on towne center drive late at night, and for just under $300 they have the remains ready for me to pickup in under a week. read more

The bag that my son came in was from Sorrento Valley pet cemetery and crematory. The Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery (SVPC) in San Diego, California offers this cremation service package for $457 and even if there was a pick up charge I am just truly appalled at how I have been taken advantage of. I do not recommend to use this business and HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to just call SVPC directly and save the hassle of being up charged. They got the job done and came and picked him however I still feel very overcharged for this situation. I realize it was 4 am when I called and spoke to someone, however I was in a frantic emotional state and just feel taken advantage of charging me almost double what the cost for the package is just to come and pick him up and take him to be cremated. Our family pet died a few weeks ago in the middle of night on a Sunday. We've lost pets in the past and have our go to place to take him/her (it's a cremation place in Sorrento). But we never knew they were closed on a Sunday. I researched my options with eyes heavy from tears and just loss. I stumbled across Thanicare and called them right away. They come to your house, pick up your pet, cremate the pet, and bring the remains back to you in a sealed cedar lockbox. The fee was incredibly reasonable. Ron came by a few hours after the phone call. I couldn't watch him take our pet away but a friend was here to assist. Friend said Ron was beyond compassionate and spoke to our pup saying 'it's ok baby girl we'll take care of you'. Makes me bawl right now as I'm typing this. The process wasn't rushed nor did I feel pressure to upgrade to whatever. They will engrave your pets name on the cedar box at no additional charge. The process is about a week to get the remains. I wasn't home when Ron delivered the box but mom and cousin were. They specifically asked me to write a review because they said Ron was the most sincere man. My mom said that he asked to see me as he wanted to make sure I was ok and that he had almost tears in his eyes when he handed her the box. We called Rob the night before we had to send Ryu over the rainbow bridge. It was a Sunday night we called him and he picked up the phone around 8pm no issues. On Sept 30, 2020, I called Thanicare in a panic and in shock when my beloved 11 1/2 year old GSD fur baby, Raja, died at home during the early morning hours after having contracted an incurable genetic disease that quickly progressed to death. Ron Robinson spoke with me in a kind and compassionate manner while making arrangements to pick up my precious girl. When he came to pick her up, he gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to Raja. He then put her on a stretcher lined with a beautiful print blanket and covered her up to her neck with another beautiful print blanket. She looked peacefully asleep. A week ago my bear passed away as she was battling cancer and a tumor and suddenly passed away. This was the first time experiencing a death like this and had no idea what to do, plus I was a wreak. A couple weeks ago my parents were moving into their new house. When they brought Chester (a basset hound) and Kilo (a bulldog) over to the new house Kilo became extremely stressed and ultimately passed away. Chester and Kilo are/were family. I called Thanicare at around 7:30pm on a Saturday and Ron's wife answered. I was a mess on the phone and I bet she could barely understand me. I explained what happened and she was so sympathetic and compassionate. I asked if they could pick up Kilo that night and she said her husband was out helping another family but she could. She just needed to change (we live in Ramona). She was there within the hour. We later found out that she just went through hip replacement surgery and yet she still took it upon herself to help our family. When she arrived she was so caring, kind, comforting and she was very respectful. She gave us all hugs and I honestly felt so much comfort when she took Kilo away. My parents had Kilo cremated and a week later his ashes were ready for pick-up. The wooden box had his name engraved on it and they even had a paw print mold to give to my parents.
