Almost 13 years with this special Aussie was not enough time. He will not only be remembered by us, but by those he touched over the years. So many memories. He was an entertainer at Yelp gatherings, Petco Park events (we had the opportunity to participate in the very first box seats in the Barkyard at Petco Park) to winning contests at the Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade. Dr. Derek performed home euthanasia on our beloved pet. He gave some tips on how to handle our other pet who may be missing thier partner in crime. He was patient and kind. We stayed with our pet to provide comfort and to say goodbye, which is never an easy process. Grief is a funny thing that sneaks up on you at random times but you must go through it and not around it. Kindle has passed over the rainbow bridge. We will miss him greatly. You never know until your animal is gone how much space they really took in your life. Love and light sweet pup. We will await our ashes in a cedar box with paw print and fur. #PawsIntoGrace #Escondido #Kindle #Aussie

A . D A Y . U N L I K E . A N Y . O T H E R…read more Today began like any other day. The usual routines, the regular chores, the unusually large coffee. But on this day, something seemed so incredibly cruel. I knew that I was greeting you, my beloved fur family member for the very last time. Only a short while ago you were that cute bundle of energy being chased around the house with a shoe or a wallet or a piece of junk mail in your mouth. You never met a soul, a treat, or a ball you didn't like. Slowly, then all of a sudden... I noticed you wearing down. Sometimes I had to lift you into or out of the car. You no longer wanted to chase the squirrels or bark at passers-by or walk as far as you used to, but that's OK. The love between us was strong and never wavered. In good times and bad. You never cared if I was cranky or stressed or tired. You were my best friend no matter what. My heart hurts because your favorite spot on the floor is now so cold and empty. When it's time to say goodbye, everybody has the same doubts: are we doing the right thing? How can anything be more difficult than to weigh your need for peace against our own need to hold on. But we accept this pain so that it can end yours. And in an instant, your struggle to move and breathe turned to calm. My sweet baby boy. You were ours for a little while, and Heaven is so lucky to have you now. Pro tip: Dr. Derek of Paws Into Grace provided a warm, loving, and dignified end-of-life service for our Aussie. His support, empathy, and kindness was much appreciated on this day unlike any other.

Before, and none of us, certainly not me had done the research until the last minute...........I scrambled and bounced and the only sound landing I found was Elizabeth with Caretakers, and how could you not? She is an angel sent via air waves or? Or? I cannot explain how beautiful it is to speak to her or how calming she is, but it is the real deal and I assure you, this is the guidance that guides you through the entire experience. I have dealt with multiple other services throughout my life with other pets and nothing has compared to this service, this without parallel. And then, the service is set up, Justin, our guy who is THE man to guide our baby over the bridge.......and what a sensitive and beautiful guy to do the job.......and when all is said and done, we go to pick up our baby, beautifully packed up, with even more fur enclosed then promised, from a solemn and lovely setting..............wow............from beginning to end, Elizabeth delivered an experience that far exceeded what we expected! We cannot recommend this service enough!!!! Five stars all the way!!!!!

I called all over town for pricing and information on the procedure itself. What stood out to me the most was Elizabeth's demeanor and kindness. She was thorough and answered all my concerns. We reached out on Tuesday and were expecting to have until Friday, but on Tuesday night our poor baby took a serious decline. Elizabeth was able to accommodate and have a vet come by early the next day. Dawn was nothing short of wonderful! She was gracious, compassionate and so, so gentle with our beloved Daewoo. My mom, who has had the hardest time with this whole ordeal, is so, so grateful for the great care with which the entire situation was handled. Thank you so much Elizabeth and Dawn for being so wonderful! We are truly eternally grateful!!!

My beautiful pittie girl, Cali Bear, passed away last Thursday at the VCA in Mission Valley…read more Heartbroken & hysterical, we made the call to have West Coast pick her up & return her to us as ashes to ashes, dust to dust. On Friday morning, I drove to their location on Crestmar with about 25 small sunflowers so that Cali could have a proper & meaningful sendoff, fitting for a 60# rescue dog who became my sun & stars. Angelica received the flowers and was very kind to me. She could see that I was in mourning & her gentleness was appreciated. She let me know that Cali would be ready in about a week, and I drove away with tears streaming down my face. A few days later, I received a call and email letting me know that Cali was ready. They asked if I could pick her up or if I wanted her to be delivered. Delivery required a signature, and so that was not an option. They're open from 9-5 Monday to Friday, and so I opted to pick her up. Angelica helped me again, and I brought my girl home today. She's in a little wooden box inside of a velvet bag. I also received the two clay paw prints that I ordered. The cost for these services was over $400. I don't know what the going rate for this sort of thing is, but West Coast treated my girl & me with care and dignity. This is the kind of service that we don't think about until we need it, and we're probably not in the best frame of mind when we do. There is a big business of pet memorial services & items so just be aware, and make your selections carefully. I say this mostly in response to some of the other reviews that were gobsmacked about the costs but also purchased every memorial item possible. My experience was as positive as it could be given the circumstances. Thank you & peace.

Many places were closed, or very expensive, it was a Sunday. So those I did reach were not in my area. When I called this place I was crying. I am not sure Johnathon was even able to understand me. He was so kind, gave me time to collect myself and explain what was going on. Again it was a Sunday, later in the day and he was going to be going home soon. I live about 45 min. from his ofc. He gave me choices on what I could do if I couldn't get her to him that night. My husband and I decided we wanted to get Bella there asap and my husband didn't want me driving because I was so upset. One of the options he gave me was I could bring her to him at that time and he would wait for us to arrive. Again this was on a Sunday, around 4pm and we live about 45 minutes away. I am so grateful for how kind, caring and understanding the owner was with me that day. He waited, and about 45 minutes later we arrived. I filled out some paperwork, picked my sweet girl Bella's Urn. From the moment i arrived there he took care of my sweet girl. Again i was in tears, the owner listened to me as i cried telling him how hard it was to say good bye to her. He listened to me as i told the story of how my mom picked her out for me almost 17yrs ago. He listened to me as i explained how almost 2 yrs i lost my mom and saying goodbye to my sweet girl was hard especially since my mom picked Bella out from the litter. Never once did he make me feel rushed. He just listened with a kind caring heart. I am truly grateful for his kind heart that day. Thank you to the owner for everything. Most people are probably wondering the cost. All i can say is the price here was much less than any of the other places i called that day that actually answered there phone. When i say much less, i mean much less. He explained it could take up to 3 weeks i believe is what he said It took less than 2 wks to get a call letting me know I could pick up Bella ashes. They called me to let me know i could come down and pick her up but we were out of state. I wasn't expecting too get a call till after we returned. That call came halfway threw our trip. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I will be referring friends and family. Today i called to see when i could come by to pick up my sweet Bella. I spoke with Shannon. She was also very kind. She listened to me as talked about my precious Bella. What an amazing, kind, caring, compassionate grp of people in this ofc. I am so grateful for all the kindness they have showed me since that day i brought my precious girl to them. Thank you all for the kindness you showed me when I was so upset. Thank you for the kind words, you will never know how much it meant to me that day. Thank you all for taking care of my sweet Bella and letting me know her ashes are ready for pickup, but also being so understanding about me not making it to pick her up right away due to being out of state, and needing a ride to come get her. Thank you, Kerry
