This is a blended rating for two visits. We had a few issues that needed to be resolved and we are new to this area and decided to give Mesa Computer Repair Service a try. Since I retired and my I-phone was connected to my work PC, I needed my I-phone to connect to my home laptop and Microsoft with regards to the calendar and contacts. Also, our Cox provider sold their email part of the business to Yahoo so we needed Yahoo to work with our Outlook. The first tech we had did his best to handle our situation. He did resolve our email issue, but after he left, there were problems with our contacts and calendar. This was nearly a 3-hour appointment. We set up another appointment a few days later and Josh W was sent out to tackle the issues. He was able to resolve our contacts and mostly resolve our calendar issue. I was very relieved. My phone still isn't in syn with our laptop, but we'll work on that during our next visit. I've worked with a lot of IT professionals both at work and home. It can take a while to find the right fit for the problem as IT techs have their different areas of expertise. Josh W was the right fit for this issue and we appreciate his methodical review and resolution. We highly recommend you start with the 4-point review before dealing with your issues. We weren't clear that the 4-point review of your systems only takes about 10-15 minutes and it then warranties the work. We did the 4-point review on the 2nd visit. Josh W made recommendations to expand our hard drive so it will work better as well as recommended a better back-up solution that what we currently have. Was charged $244. for nothing. Tried to install HP Printer/Scanner and was unable to after 2+ hours but had to pay the above cost for work that was completed. Then thinking they would cut me a break I had them come back to install new printer and that charge was $177. Find a different business tat doesn't rip you off for uncompleted work !! read more

We made an appointment for 2 days out with a time frame of 2-5pm. We stayed home during that 3 hour time so as not to miss them. At 10 min to five they call & say they can't come that day but could come the next day between 9 & 12. Since I had an appointment at 11:00 that day this would not work unless they came at 9:00. They said someone else had that time slot & it could not be changed. They will not give any arrival time except the 3 hour window. I had to decline working with these people. I would never accept a 2 - 5 time slot with them as they may call at the last minute & cancel. After canceling our original appt I felt they should have wanted to work with us on this. They may do good work but I will never know. Every thing has to be on their terms within that three hour time. Good luck if you decide to try their service. read more

Steer clear of this company. I paid $220 for work getting my laptop to communicate with my printer. The 'fix' applied by their tech lasted less than 3 hours. At first they said tech would call me to discuss the problem-never heard from tech. I got issue fixed by someone else. This company declined to refund my money, stating I had declined two weeks of follow up offered to me. They ultimately said tech's work was as promised. What a disappointing experience. read more

Had Jared from Mesa Computer Repair out to the house to fix my connectivity issues, turned out to be a little more complicated but he was able to diagnose and fix my issues. I appreciate the on time arrival, communication throughout, expert diagnosis and timely repair. Jared was also friendly, polite and seems to genuinely enjoy his job. Dalan came to our house to fix a broken hinge on our computer. We paid $129 and he left saying there's nothing he can do because it's a hp laptop and they glue their screens. He told us if we wanted to get the screen replaced, we can have them do it for around $450. He was very convincing and after much thought we decided to have them repair it. He was very nice. However, It has now been over 48 hours and no one will do this repair they said they could do. We called to speak to a manager as we don't understand why they don't want our service. We were told by Peter that it could take a month to hear back from management. We feel like we have been completely taken advantage of. What company would not want your business? We paid $129 for nothing. We're very disappointed. read more

BEWARE!!!! Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. They mis represent their service and do not take responsibility for damaging my computer screen. When I booked my appointment I asked Brandon if the screen breaks(all in one computer) is that on you guys. He answered yes we take care of it. Tech Daylin shows up to get started. He has me sign his iPad to get started. Never once going over the risk and what would happen if something broke. He gets started, has YouTube on his phone because he has never split apart an all in one. Ok, I get it, new job for him. As he is getting it apart I see the screen has lines in it. Now prior to this I tried to get the same model apart and I broke the screen. This is why I called them. I even told them I broke a screen already and don't want it to happen again and it happens again! Now he is flustered especially when I say well you guys will be fixing my screen and he says didn't the office go over with you what happens if there is damages blah blah blah and I say yes I asked the question and was told they would take care of it. I call and email their office and get a response finally saying I signed the service waiver( have never seen a copy yet) and I asked when did I sign it- when I signed the techs iPad. Oh that was never explained. All I want is my computer back the way it was. They say pay their invoice for the visit and I have to pay for the screen. They will give me first hour free then their prorated charge. I would have no issue paying the invoice if they were going to replace the screen but they refused and still want me to pay the invoice. Why should I pay for an incomplete service and a damaged computer? I think I am being more than fair by asking to have my computer returned to normal before the tech damaged the screen. They do not have an office where you can go and talk to someone in charge either. They do have an address though. Beware of this company with fly by night you tube technicians. read more

I wanted someone to help me migrate from a Windows 10 laptop to a new Windows 11 laptop. I often have problems doing this and since I required immediate access to my computer, I decided to hire it out. Karl's Technology sent out Jarod, who performed a lot of hand waving, but pretty much left me in the dark. I paid an inordinate amount of money for very little professional acumen. I would never look to this company for help again. This learning experience cost me a lot, but made me very skeptical of "computer professionals". read more

In years past, this service had my confidence. Polite and knowledgeable field techs would solve my problems, usually within the first $125 hour. Recently, the business side has been trying so hard to expand that they are unable to commit to specific times as "dispatchers" keep changing ETA's and opportunistically rearranging appointments to fill in as many hours as possible. Had an appointment early November for a personal prebuilt pc. Wouldn't turn on and would crash whenever trying to run games. Had a tech come out and his partner. Both great people and they did the basic scans on the computer. At the end they instructs me that it was a mother board issue an to upgrade the rest for better performance. Great so far! Fast forward a month later was able to buy everything after 600-700$ after. Still had the same issue but now I know it's the GPU (only thing left from old pc). Contacted for a follow up to see if they could now just look at the GPU since I did as I was instructed for the service I paid with still having the same issues persisting. Unfortunately was told it's past the time where I could be assisted for the same issue and would have to pay again. I'm sure it was somewhere in fine print so that's my bad but it isn't too fun when I've paid about 850$ for all of this and still have the same issue. Overall good people but make sure you get them back within a month or so if you continue to have the same issue. read more

Josh W dis such a wonderful job setting up my new laptop, and he even made sure I had a proper backup as well as made sure I was secure with a proper antivirus. He even made my laptop look identical to my old desktop so it makes it easier for me to use and understand. He was very professional, and understood all my needs and was able to make sure everything was working the way I wanted it. We lost wireless internet connection on our laptop and smelled burned electrical components. Oh boy! Attempted several times to regain Internet access without success. I carried out a bit of online research with our cell phone and saw that Mesa Computer Repair (aka Karls Technology) had many satisfied customers. I called Karls Technology and they kindly set up an appointment for the next day. The next day, Karl and one of his other colleagues Daniel came out to our place. They patiently listened to my brief description of what happened. They attempted to obtain a connection to the Internet and had the same lack of success that I had. They diagnosed the problem and explained that they would order a USB Wireless Adapter (hard wiring is not an option) and I gave them the green light. Karl refused payment until the job would be completed the next day. Today, Daniel came out and installed the USB Wireless Adapter and successfully had it ping our router and the problem was solved. The service charge for one hour (this included two trips to our home here in Mesa) plus the component was a reasonable $175. I would also like to comment that these guys were great from the moment they took our first call (also calling to keep me appraised of their arrival each day) through the final resolution. I had the absolute nightmare of a Windows update gone rogue and the dreaded blue screen. As I panicked on a Saturday morning, I called Mesa computer repair, and within three hours I had one of the most confident, polite, intelligent and knowledgeable IT tech I have ever met. His name was Carson. He had my computer up and running within an hour and also did a wellness check on my computer. This company is tied to Karl's Technology. They are a very efficient and competent. They addressed my Windows 10 issues. I had to do a reset on my computer, and have almost everything re-installed. I was fortunately able to do 90% of the work prior to having Karls Technology do the rest. They were able to get things done in less then an hour with regard to the last 10%. Had these folks send a serviceman out to look at a frozen laptop. I assumed a virus but it turned out to need defragmenting...really, really bad. Thought I had been doing it but, apparently not. No twelve year olds at home to do this stuff. Anyway, set the time, Dave called 15 mins before scheduled time, arrived ON time! Spent well over an hour figuring out the issue. Downloaded some better stuff, explained some things, and answered a few questions. Charged an even hour and was out the door. The laptop is working again though he was not optimistic about it's longevity (old). Nice to find a shop with some old time business ethics. I'll call again if needed. read more
