Did an amazing job. I have a 1 bed 1 bath apartment that's about 850 sq. ft. The service members were a little late but that didn't bother me. The entire cleaning took about 2 hours. They got out all the dust, took out our garbage, made the bed, mopped, wiped down surfaces/sinks, and vacuumed. Overcharged us for a move out cleaning. Even though there were not two people working the entire time, we were charged for two. We know this for a fact because we were doing yard work on the property for the 4 hrs ($480)it took to clean an empty house!!! When we contacted them for a refund they only credited us $60! The manager, Emmy, was deceiving us or she was being deceived by her own staff. Think twice before hiring them!!! read more

Terrible -- and worse, they overcharge. And by that, I do not mean charge too much. I mean literally bill more to your credit card than you authorize and refuse to refund thousands of dollars in over payments. Some might call that stealing. Now, I could go on about how shoddy their work is; how they get in and out as quickly as possible without even wiping crumbs off the counter; how they promise to do better and then don't. They did an exceptional job and their quality of work is fantastic. The down side is, I have a two bedroom two bathroom 1100 square foot condo and i only had them clean the kitchen and both bathrooms nothing else. And, they charged me almost 400 dollars and to top it all off they didn't clean the fridge or oven for that insane price. Honestly there are so many better places in the area to get a cleaning. I had someone quote me 175 for the entire condo. Honestly I should have went with them, you live and learn. Just please do research just because it's merry maids doesn't mean it is better. read more

The seller of our home hired Merry Maids to clean up before we move in. I'm sure they tried, but Merry Maids did an exceptionally poor job. The home was cleaned on 8/11 and we moved in a week later. I knew the quality was poor and the card said to call if you were unhappy with the service. Well, they couldn't exactly clean around moving boxes, so I called about 2 weeks after that to see about getting Merry Maids back out. They said I had waited too long and stuck firmly to their contention that they did a great job. I'm disappointed I can't post photos on here because the inside of the fridge was absolutely filthy and they left a half a dead mouse carcass (yes you read that right) on the floor in the rec room. No one had been there to filthy up the fridge or kill mice since the 11th so I can only assume that's the quality work Merry Maids is so proud of. Will never use them!! read more

This is the worst cleaning company! They give you a quote and then charge your credit card with another price. Horrible customer service...the office manager is rude and condescending. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!! They only want cc# so they can over charge....awful awful! read more

We have the best merry maids! Whenever I call they are so attentive and responsive. I travel a lot and call and have them clean my hose while I am gone. They are the best. When I clean my own home it is never as good as when merry maids come. They are top notch and worth every penny. They are priced right for all the amazing revive they provide. They think of cleaning things that slip past me and they have a method in their perfection. Whenever we have called we have had immediate response and very professional and pleasant communication with the owner, Emmy. The maids that come are well trained and very reliable and honest. With kids and pets we often misplace things in our home and when they find something they always let us know. A perfect example is they random $100 bill that was found in our couch cushion. I have no idea how it got there but I am sure that either the dog or one of the kids had moved it from the entry table. They let me know and I was so pleasantly pleased with their honestly as well as their amazing service. Let me tell you I have twin boys and they are a constant mess and track not only everything in from outside but they make huge messes all over and their hands touch everything as well as the dogs nose everywhere. I am so happy that when I have a day where I leave and the merry maids come, I come home to peace and tranquility. My home is neat and clean and comfortable. I dont know what they use but my house always smells so goos and i am often complimented on it because of them. I have used other places and nothing can compare. I also love that they bring their own products. When we lived elsewhere our cleaners required us to supply all the products and they were never comparable to this. They get two stars because we called them last minute, accepted cash, and showed up on time. However. For a one bedroom 700 sq foot apartment that was EMPTY, with THREE people cleaning it was a sad job. Still crumbs left under the fridge shelves, bathroom sink/shower looked like it got wiped down with dry paper towels, didn't bother to vacuumed the dust off the floor along the walls where furniture had been, cob webs left in the corners/wall, didn't bother to sweep/mop the floor area under the fridge door (like the area that you can see when it opens) or the large spaces on the sides....I didn't even want the money back or any refund. Or even have someone come back to clean. But the fact that no one has responded to our texts/survey about their poor job says a lot. This is coming from a person that used to clean houses for a living, and often times would do move outs for houses triple the size by myself and still do better. Three people?! read more

Oh my goodness. I too have never used a home cleaning service for myself ( i did give my son a 6 month service for his birthday a few years ago) So i made an appointment for Merry Maids from a coupon that I received in the mail. I have a 720 ft one bedroom condo and all I wanted was for the bathroom and kitchen to be "thoroughly" cleaned. They quoted $160. Seemed high but to have it "throroughly cleaned" I thought it would be a good thing to get done. Let me point out that $160 is at least 10 hours of work for me at my job. My husband was at home at the time. I wrote a list of what needed to be done. 3 maids came in. They were finished within 45 minutes. Apparently "thoroughly cleaned" does not include behind and around the stove and refrigerator "It might hurt our backs". The baseboards were mildly touched.. not completely....the stove looked good inside and out but again....no one could pull it out. Everything was shoved to the wall, instead of organizing....it was a mess. I called to complain. They said they would send someone to take care of everything the next day....who has that time to take off. Especially when they give you a 5 hour window !! Bottom line...Please find another service...This one was ridiculously inefficient and incompetent. What a wast of time and money! read more

I've been with Merry Maids for a couple months. The owner is directly involved, which I love. They want you to be completely happy and they welcome feedback. I've been so excited about their work that I have taken pictures and sent them to Merry Maids. I like that they treat your home like they would treat their home. They clean to a level beyond my capability. For example, when I clean my stainless steel appliances no matter what I have done I can't make the finish look clean and smooth. I always see water spots. But Merry Maids makes them look perfect. They also clean with the microfiber cloths so that nothing gets scratched. read more

My husband bought a Merry Maid gift certificate for me this Christmas. He paid $150 for it. I called Merry Maids, told them I had a $150 gift card and booked a cleaning for January 29th. They told me the minimum charge was for 2 hours, and took my credit card number and charged me the extra $50 minimum at that time. All approved, all fine. So the cleaning ladies left my house without the gift card. No problem, I called the franchise and explained that they forgot the gift card and that my account was charged for the full cleaning (a total of $275). They agreed to send someone over to pick up the card, and that my account would be credited for the $150. The credit appeared in my account but then four days later they charged me another $150. I have now called the franchisee twice and she still doesn't understand that I have paid $275 and my husband has paid $150. They have my bank account number so I am contacting my bank to prevent further unauthorized transactions. Two days and two arguments later and she still has to "have her accounting person call me back" (didn't happen the first time so I had to call again - still waiting...). My advice to anyone considering this company is NOT to provide your credit card details to them. If you do, keep an eye on your account long after you have paid - they seem to be OK with unauthorized debits. I am still hoping I can get them to understand they have an extra $150 of my money...have filed with the BBB, and their corporate office but...yep, you guessed it, the regional manager didn't answer his phone and is yet to call me back... read more

Poor efficiency and high cost. We contracted Vienna Merry Maids to do a one cleaning service. They charged $336 to clean 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms, which were actually very clean when they arrived. On the phone they told us the service would move to other rooms when they were done with those rooms, however they did not. My husband said the cleaners kept cleaning the same things until the 3 hour time was up. We are very disappointed. read more

I am a government employee with a clearance and cannot have just anybody in my home. They also guarantee their work and use safe, environmentally friendly products.
