Merriman's does excellent quality work. They repaired our large Alumawood patio cover, and the result looks brand new--maybe even better than before. read more

Jason came out and gave us an estimate for a patio cover. Seemed reasonable. Responsive to questions good customer service. Will text and email. He is two months out on his installation. I will update the review after the job is done. UPDATE: Jason came out today to measure. Very personable young man. He requires 10% down when you sign the contract. Half of the balance to be paid when they order the materials to be paid when you receive the bill which takes a couple weeks. He said he would throw in an extra drain spout for no extra charge. Since the holidays are coming, I assume the installation won't be until January. read more

Great Folks. Patio cover service is probably close to best in the business for the area. Have all the insurance and licenses you need and will provide. Very very competent and great people. Also, aided with the permit and was a breeze. As far as value goes, labor is generally costly (as expected for quality work), but here is the thing you can always find someone cheaper. Just depends on if licensing and experience is important to you. Well worth every penny. read more

I hired Merriman's to build a patio cover for my mother-in-law's house. The result was perfect. From the beginning, they were responsive and friendly. I received a phone call or an email each time there was a update (materials ordered, etc.) and sometimes when there were no updates (just to let me know they were waiting for materials, etc.). Each time an employee showed up, they were on time and professional in every way. I asked for a few details that were out of the norm and they listed to me and were happy to give me what I wanted. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you Merriman's, y'all are doing a great job! read more

This company is simply the best! I have used them in the past, and was always pleased so I used them for a recent remodel of my carport, new patio, and construction of a shop.Ethan,Jason and the staff and workers did exactly the work I wanted, returned my phone calls promptly, and answered all my questions. Work was done RIGHT,and on time. They are very conscious of details...They even wiped the fingerprints off my new carport ceiling when construction was completed!!! Since this job took several weeks they always cleaned up at the end of the day and stored materials neatly.Highly recommended! read more

We purchased an older, partially remodeled mobile home in November 2021. One item we added to our priority replacement list was changing out single pane windows to quality dual pane windows. We had heard great things about Merriman's from our realtor, so called them first. We had an estimate within a week from a very thorough representative from Merriman's. Due to COVID delays we understood and were willing to wait about six weeks for custom windows to be made. Hector, the lead and his companion were very professional when it came to installation. The installers arrived on time and exactly as scheduled. They placed drop cloths in the doorway to avoid tracking anything in the house. The windows look fabulous and already we can tell our home is more secure, warmer. What an extra touch, they even cleaned all the windows - inside and out so the windows sparkle! We couldn't be more pleased! It's good to know that hard-working, honest to goodness businesses still exist! read more

Couldn't be happier with the service that Merriman's has provided over the past two years; from getting my estimate with Jason, to getting updates from Monique and the completion of the job done by Jose and his team. The home's roof has been on less worry for me and the carport looks amazing. Thank you for doing such a great. I will definitely recommend you to everyone and keep you guys in mind for future work. read more

We had our driveway and front porch redone and we are very satisfied with the outcome. James came by for an estimate and was very knowledgeable and polite and gave us the best price for our concrete job. As the job began some issues came up and we ended up spending a little more but the results were worth it and now our house totally looks different and we love it. Want to say thanks to James, Abrahm and Jorge for the great communication and they worked very hard on this project and we really appreciate it, we will definitely hire them for our future projects. read more

So, so incredibly pleased with Merriman's. I don't have a bad thing to say about them and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Every employee that I've come in contact with throughout the process were very professional and through. I didn't feel like there was any hidden fees or sneaky business. The price they told me was the price I paid. The quality of the patio is outstanding. We bought the fans and they put them in without hassle, which was awesome! They were flexible and worked with me. I just really can't express how pleased I am. I can safely say it's been rain tested as well and is holding up beautifully. Oh and the sound of rain hitting it is so peaceful! read more

Had a handful of estimates given for a concrete driveway, and while not the lowest offer, James spent the most time brainstorming the details with me and not trying to change what I wanted (due to several contractors not able to replace the curb with an approach). While the project was broken into several steps with a few days between each (or rain delay), their office did a good job of letting me know when to expect the next phase. James made sure to work with me during the process and insure I was happy, or make adjustments as needed. The end result looks perfect and I'd go with Merriman's again for additional contracting work. read more

Great customer service, great communication, finished the job in record time with great workmanship.

Very professional and straight forward honest. I scheduled an estimate, they were on time and didn't take an excessive amount of time to do it. They informed me of the things they could or could not do and did not pressure me for a sale. The price was reasonable. I haven't had the work done yet but, I would recommended them to anyone. read more

A large sprinkler head blew off a golf course's sprinkler system and went through my mother's living room window. High pressure water flowed into her manufactured home for over 45 minutes and caused massive damage. Merriman's bid was in-line with the others but they have more experience in repairing manufactured homes and have been in business much longer than the others so we choose them. They were always on time and very courteous. Their workmanship was excellent. For example, they replaced the damaged floor with tongue and groove plywood where everyone else quoted pressed wood. They did everything from the insulation, re-leveling, sub floor, painting, etc. to ordering and installing the final window blinds. I used to flip homes for years (too old now) and did most of the work myself. I have a very high standard. They met and even exceeded my expectations. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MERRIMAN'S TO ANYONE . read more

Not sure what changed from our positive experience to the lack of follow-up. Very disappointed in the follow-up. The references all said they come back and take care of anything in the first year. That has not been our experience. We spoke with James about a leaking bathroom sink about 7 months after he finished and couple of other issues. It obviously has been leaking for awhile. Said he'd be out. Never did. Called him and his office. Neither he nor his staff contacted us. Texted, called and emailed repeatedly. No response. Disappointing. Looking for a plumber. read more

Our family has had Merriman's work for us since September of 2018. They have always done excellent work for us. We have spent a great deal of money over the years for Merriman's to make our mobile home improvements. Sadly, I report the most recent ongoing job by Merriman's to be proceeding very badly with mistakes, neglect, delays, problems after problems. The management seems to want to protect the workers more than to supportively assure us as being their good and loyal customer. At least, that's the feeling I get. I don't know whether the decline is due to the Covid lockdown effect, or the current negative climate for small business in California. Whatever it is, I have lost all confidence in Merriman's. I do not anticipate doing further business with them. This makes me very sad and today I have been crying over it. It's like losing a good friend. Please be careful of contracting with Merriman's. read more

Merrimans did an excellent job on my backyard & cementing my front side yard. James, Abram, the electrician (sorry I forgot his name...), and the office ladies, Monique and Tammy were great. I had an issue with the patio cover guy Steve though who basically accused me of lying about paperwork that he never left. He also had quite a temper with the city when it was time to get approvals done & wanted my mother to sign paperwork that should be signed by me alone. Also, other than Monique & Tammy, no one seemed to communicate properly. I never knew when they'd be coming back to continue work unless I caught them before leaving or called the office. This was a bit frustrating as I had to leave my yard unlocked for them to get in. All in all though, I'm happy with how the yard turned out & when there were issues, they did what they could to make it right. I also liked being able to go through one place for so many different parts of the project. I would recommend. read more

I've had friends use Merriman's on a few occasions and they've always been very pleased with their service and quality of work. I had a small bathroom project to do in my home so I called them for a quote. In the end, it was an insurance claim so I decided to do the job myself to save the labor fees and upgrade our bath. Their rep, Jason, was very helpful. He came out at the scheduled time and was very knowledgeable. Had the project been bigger and out of my ability, I would have definitely hired them. Their prices were fair and they clearly articulated what they would do. My experience with them was very good and based on my friends' experience as well as my own, I think they would have been honest up front in their business (something that's hard to find in the construction environment today). read more

My family and I have used Merriman's for over 30 years and we've always been extremely happy with their fair and honest pricing and their great, quality work. Bought older coach. Was sure it needed a new roof even though home inspection said it was good. (5th mobile I have owned). 13 years ago Merriman had good reputation so decided to give them opportunity to bid. They are excellent and I am very happy. Fellow came to give bid. He took his time and took pictures to show me problems so that I could ask any questions I wanted. At end he took plenty of time to answer my questions. He gave me a date when they come and would have 3 guys here. They came when agreed, had two men and supervisor. All worked hard for the whole 3 days they were here. I got new roof on double wide (about 1300 sq ft and two porches as they had been done wrong previously and needed a lot of help. Didn't know who to get and got 2 estimates. They were a little higher but the professionalism, work ethic and quality service was well worth it and I feel very safe. Also there was an immediate change in heat as their new insulation has made a difference and the dog is happy as it is not so noisy when the wind comes up. Give them a call at least for an estimate and then make your decision off of that appointment. Don't think you will go wrong. read more

We had our patio/concrete completed recently and we are very happy with the results. Previous companies that came out to bid told us our patio couldn't be done with our complicated roof line or just never called back. Merriman's was in constant contact with us throughout the whole process. That reliability is not common these days. We will be using Merriman's for any future projects at our home. read more

I have had the pleasure of having Merriman's Inc. work on two of my projects. At all times the workmanship was A1 and the professionalism was spot on. The honesty in which they do Business is very refreshing. I recommend Merriman's Inc. highly for any job that needs to be done. read more

Jason is the Man if you need something done. Please call him, you will love his customer service, he does everything he promises. My parents had water damage in their back room and Merriman's did the emergency service and the rebuild. We are extremely happy with the work and the room looks fantastic. Had a leak in my roof causing water damage to my kitchen. It ended in a full kitchen remodel. I am so grateful for Merriman's Inc. They came out within 48 hours and had a full estimate with a detail breakdown of where the damage was and what needed to be replaced and the costs. I have zero experience with water damage and am definitely not a handy man so I am thankful that they were patient in answering all of my questions and explain everything. They are reasonably priced with outstanding service. If I ever am in need of any future repairs (heaven forbid) or even when it comes time to get my patio cover I will be calling them again. read more

Professional and extremely helpful. Merriman's recently installed a permanent foundation for our modular home. If quality, professionalism and peace of mind are what you are looking for, Merriman's is your answer. I am so glad that I selected them to work on our second home in Redlands. I wouldn't necessarily say their price was higher (for the better quality). I had 3 itemized quotes to compare, each had high & low variances on the line items. Merriman's quotes were competitive on my project. They put in vinyl fencing, aluminum patio cover with concrete slab, rain gutters and widen the driveway for a second car parking for me. The entire process was just what I wanted - a non-event for me. As I know nothing about the remodeling or maintenance stuff around the house, they took care of everything, including resolving surprises came from the city inspector. Steve literally chased after the issue all the way into the City Hall and resolved it. Everyone I have dealt with at Merriman's were professional at what they do, this include the office personnel too. I highly recommend them and there is a good reason why they have been around since 1967. read more

Worked with Ralph Trejo from Merriman's to add concrete to my driveway for RV parking extending all the way to the side of my house with a retaining wall and 2 columns for a driveway wrought iron gate. They also removed multiple trees from my yard. My experience with him and the company was amazing. He was always very professional, knowledgeable, very clear and honest with the quote, showed up on time as expected every day, excellent communication, great quality of work, and always showed up with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. I am very satisfied dealing with this company and especially Ralph Trejo as he made my experience very pleasant. Explains why they were in business since 1967. I would highly recommend Merriman's without any reservations to anyone interested in adding concrete, retaining wall, sprinklers, or columns. Kudos to Ralph and Merriman's for a job well done and I look forward to working with you in the future for any general contractor work. read more

After our modular home was flooded, we hired Merriman's to do the restoration through our insurance company. The work was adequate though slow, with missed deadlines and appointments. They kept telling us how much extra they were doing, going above and beyond, however there were several mistakes and incorrect orders, with plenty of excuses and outright lies. The end product, while not perfect, is acceptable - however we would never recommend them. read more
