I waited a long time to choose a black matte standing seam metal roof, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with Hovey Roofing. I'm not related to anyone at the company, nor did I know them prior to this project. However, several friends that are realtors and a very good friend who's a contractor regularly work with highly recommended them. After getting multiple estimates, I found that Hovey Roofing's quote was about half the price of the highest estimate (seriously) which was approximately 30K more. Their pricing is exceptional, and the quality of their work is impeccable. I consider myself a very particular homeowner who values cleanliness and organization, I couldn't be more satisfied. I give Hovey Roofing a triple diamond five-star rating and am truly grateful for the experience. They cleaned up after each day, were super polite and respectful, and the owner Glen checked in regularly. The best way I can describe the experience is old school attention to detail and craftsmanship combined with modern day efficiency. read more

We have some leaks in our roof and got an estimate from Glen. He was very professional and nice and he informed us of a better alternative to repair our problem through another company. I appreciate the honesty of him informing us of this rather than just do extensive repairs that he said would be more costly. I would recommend Hovey Roofing to anyone needing roof work done based on this. read more

Glenn Hovey and his crew did a great job on reroofing my whole house. He is local, price was good, his crew cleaned up every day. They had a porta potty. They were respectful. They replaced some rotted sheets that needed replacing. And re roofed to newer standards that help with drainage in the valleys of the roof. The supplies were top notch, he gave me a detailed estimate. There were no over charges, and in fact he didn't charge me for extras. He just threw them in. Thanks, appreciate the morals and values of an honest working company. read more

We've used Hovey a couple times now for roof repairs on our condo complex. They always get back quickly and actually call you where other companies often leave you hanging. I don't even bother calling around anymore because they do great work and are reasonably priced. Keep it up boys. read more

Chose Hovey Roofing from the reviews on Yelp, and they weren't wrong! Glen came out and looked at my leak and new exactly what needed to be done. His estimate was fair and we scheduled the work just before the rains hit. Glen brought his guys out and showed them what needed to be done. They are efficient and cleaned up after the job! Glen stopped by several times to be sure everything was going as planned. With out a doubt I would recommend Glen (Hovey Roofing) to family and friends. read more

A friend referred me to Glen Hovey Roofing after he had installed skylights for her . We needed a full re-roofing job. We had 3 estimates, and since Glen was local, lowest bid and his finish time was quickest, we chose his company for the job. Glen is completely professional and knows his business, he is easy to work with, and communicates with you throughout the job.His team of roofers are hard working, polite, and leave the area neat after each days work. He and his team did an excellent job.. the shingle color, the trim, the painting of the facia board that was replaced, all perfect. Had to have a "roof tuneup" done on the house. They responded quick for the estimate appointment. Arrived on-time. Estimates were free and even provided a crash course on why tiles are falling and what is "roof tuneup". The written estimate was prompt. The price was below others and reasonable. Again, arrived on time for the work appointment. Performed the job w/o an issue, did not request additional payment for a bit extra work that had to be done. They are insured and licenced, which is important when worked is typically performed on roofs. Highly recommend. Thank you Hovey roofing. read more

It is so refreshing to meet a contractor who is on-time. Hovey Roofing showed up on time to give us an estimate. The estimate arrived on time when Glenn said it would arrive. Glenn put us on the books for a new roof 3 months down the road and he started work on the exact date he said he would. THEN on the day he was to start work he was ON TIME AGAIN! In fact, everyday during the job they started work EXACTLY at 6:30 like they said they would. Glenn said what he was going to do and then he did it. Oh, and did I mention his price was fair and his work crew was very professional. Hovey Roofing took the extra step to tarp all areas and the pool so that the debris could be kept at a minimum. Glen was also present every day at the job site making sure that we were informed of each step in the process. read more

Reliable, very detailed, quality work and great follow up from Hovey roofing. Glen was a pleasure to deal with along with giving a fair and reasonable price. Of all 3 roofers that came out for estimates, Glen was the only one that suggested other repairs at the same price to prevent future repairs. Honest and reliable people like Glen are had to come by nowadays. read more

So I'm in the process of selling my home, I heard of Hovey from my mom's friend who used them and said they did fair and honest work. So because i'm selling my home I found a small leak in my roof so of course I reached out to Hovey because there local and because I heard nothing but good things about them. The owners name is Glen and he's probably one of the nicest business owners you will meet. From day I called him, to the time he arrived to give me a bid on the repair he demonstrated nothing but professionalism and he is very easy to talk to. After he came out and found the small leak, he gave me two choices first choice he could do it for a small fee of course or he could tell me how I could do it and save the money. To me that demonstrates a lot, if an owner is willing to give up the money because he feels you can save it, I appreciate the honesty. I ended up letting him fix my small roof leak for $350. But for me it was piece of mind, he also took care of all the roof pipes by painting them the same color and hammering down any loose shingles. He made sure my roof was good to go for my home inspection. I will definitely use Hovey for all my local work. And finally this shows how humble he is, the day he fixed my roof he was going to send out one his employees from another job to do the repair, but at the last minute he was unable to get his employee to leave another job, so he came out and did the repair himself. Thanks again to Hovey Roofing giving me a great service and a fair price. read more

We hired Hovey roofing to repair a couple of leaks in our tile roof. He stripped it down to the wood & replaced the old rotted boards & "paper",put in new vent pipes & flashing. It is an old roof and the brown Spanish style tiles aren't made anymore. He knew of a place that collects all kinds of old tiles and went there, found our brown tiles there and used them to replace the broken tiles on our roof. He did a great job. read more

If you need a roof or repair, Glen Hovey Roofing is the man to do the job, I had 4 estimates and Glen was the most reasonable and he included some extras for me, very easy to work with and his crews were on time every day for whole job. So I needed a local roofer to come out and fix some areas for a customer of mine. Sad to say it took 3-4 roofers to find someone reliable. Most didn't even return my phone call. I'm glad I found Glen. He is a standup guy. I contacted him through Yelp and he was able to come out fairly quick to inspect the problem and schedule the work to be done. Prices were reasonable and Glen was friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely use him in the future if I need to. Peace! read more

Excellent Roofer. Glenn's bid was very detailed, it was the standard that I measured all others against. The price was a bit steep, but not far off of another company bid that was comparable. I chose to go with Glenn's company because I trusted him the most. The other bid was lower than his. We amicably agreed to split the difference. There were some minor clean up issues that I noticed after the work was done, they were pretty inconsequential, but still I'd have liked it if his guys were a little more detailed on their clean up. The other company that gave a bid that was just a little lower was Weathertight Roofing in Hemet. I wish I could have done business with them too, but I only had one roof to have redone, so I can't say how they would have done! My job involved removing all of my concrete tiles, laying down new underlayment, doing some wood repair work on the eaves and facia boards, and lastly reinstulling the tiles. Numerous new additional tiles were needed to replace ones that were broken (by age or removal). The additional tiles were all used because my roof is 26 years old and the tiles were discontinued a long time ago. The replacement tiles were difficult to find and look alright but are not an exact match. So if you are in a similar situation and find a roofer who has the perfect match for you in there yard you should consider doing business with them. I don't recall whether Weathertight did or not. A large roofer in Riverside had an exact match and perhaps I should have chosen them, but still I am very pleased to have my job nicely done and I do enthusiastically endorse Hovey Roofing. I wish one could give a 4.5 star rating, but 1/2 star reviews are not available. read more
