I came in excited to look around and potentially make a purchase, but the customer service completely ruined the visit. I asked what I believed was a very normal and reasonable question about one of the products, and instead of receiving a helpful answer, the employee I spoke with immediately seemed irritated and annoyed that I had even asked. Her tone was rude and dismissive from the start, and she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her simply by trying to get information about something the store sells. As a customer, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask questions before making a purchase, especially in a specialty shop where people may not know every detail about the products. Rather than helping me understand what I was looking at, she responded with visible frustration and an attitude that made me feel unwelcome. What bothered me most was how unnecessary the interaction felt. I was polite throughout the conversation and wasn't demanding or difficult in any way. I simply wanted assistance, which is one of the basic expectations when visiting a retail store. Instead, I felt like I was being talked down to and treated as though my question was stupid or not worth answering. Customer service can make or break a business, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative impression. A surf shop should be a welcoming place where people of all experience levels feel comfortable asking questions and learning more about the sport and equipment. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and unlikely to return. I hope management takes customer interactions seriously and reminds employees that a little patience and respect go a long way. One rude interaction can easily drive away customers, and based on my experience, there is definitely room for improvement in how customers are treated here. Well back October 14 I ordered the rockaway shoes from the Destin Store with…read moretheir store manager Kaye, I told her I needed them fast because I was going on a trip, I paid for 2 day shipping but my shoes didn't arrive, so a week and half went by and kept waiting for my shoes, nothing happened so I called customer service, the woman on the phone was NO HELP AT ALL, she told me there was nothing she could do and I had to call the store, so I did, I called and to my luck Kaye was the one on the phone, I told her the story, she was super nice and apologetic about it, she asked for 30 minutes for her to make some phone calls and look around other stores to see what was going on with my shoes, 30 went by and she was calling me back with the greatest news, my shoes were on hold because a mistake from the shipping company and sadly they were unavailable BUT awesome Kaye came to my rescue and she found them in a store in Texas and they were coming my way, that was Wednesday October 26 at noon, same Wednesday at 2:00 pm I got a call from the manager at the store in Texas, I think it was in Houston im not sure, wish I could remember her name to give her credit too, she was awesome and she was calling me to confirm that my shoes were on their way to me and right now is Friday October 28th, my shoes arrived 30 minutes ago, they are perfect, exactly what I wanted and I beyond happy and Grateful to Kaye and the other sister manager from Texas, every store in this country should have managers that care and go above and beyond for their customers and that are also super nice and kind. I selected 2 pairs of shoes for my son and was ready to check out when I noticed white wedges. I tried one shoe and asked associate to them me the other shoe; she got the shoe I was trying on and went to storage room to get the other shoe. When she came back she informed me that those shoes are no longer available and other associate is saving it for her friend... I am a customer here now and willing to buy it now, since I've been trying them on... she started arguing with me. When I said that it's unprofessional and I will complain she said she doesn't care and good luck with that. They all were laughing making me uncomfortable and humiliated! I allowed the security guard to check all receipts and look through all bags. He found no evidence of theft. My son (mixed race) entered the building and she showed me him exiting the building and looked back at my other son and left. That was what she based her assumption that he had stolen something on. I told her it was because he was black that she was accusatory. She replied, "I knew you would say that". He did not steal from this store and the footage shows that as well as the security guard going through all of our bags. Racist.

However I heard two associates telling two other women this. As I browsed, I noticed quickly that other women came in after me and were greeted and helped. They talked about their other pieces etc. Apparently in order to be helped on this store you have to appear that you are dripping in money. I guess my money doesn't spend like the other women in the store. Just because I don't flaunt it or ooze wealth and privilege doesn't mean I deserve to be ignored either by 4 unwilling people. I tried to get one person to help me and she flat walked away from me. It's rare for me to get upset but I was humiliated by elitist and uppity sales associates from Tory Burch. As I walked, the only male working asked if I found everything I was looking for. "Yup I did but no one would help me." And I walked out as freely spent my money elsewhere. I told this story to another retailer who so kind a few stores down and she had been working there for TWO MONTHS. She said she has heard this so many times she can't count them. I went to the store today (6-18-26) and was told they are not refundable and since I didn't buy the top of the line package there was no adjustment. I was told that since it is classified as a medical device no refund is possible. This was never mentioned during the sale process. I can trade it in on the full package as a credit against $1600, but why would anyone do that when you got minimum relief from the beginning. I have found that the Dr. School's insoles work just as well for 1/10th the price of The Good Feet Store. The receipt says that you have 30 days to make the adjustment, but in no way is that a refund. I am out close to $600.00.
