Rack Room Shoes - Interior

Giving recognition and praise to Rack Room's tentpole employee Edward who has given me the utmost…read moreattention to detail in finding me suitable, functional, and reasonably priced shoes. I am on my feet for 12 hours a day for work with heavy lifting, and as I'm breaking them in now I'm thanking Edward with every step my happy little feet are taking. He sold me on the Asics Gel Cumulus 18 shoes and while hot pink is not my absolute favorite color, the clouds (aka the shoes) I'm walking on outweighs that small detail. Breaking them in has been painless, and so comfortable!!! Second note, they didn't have my size in the store (literally the only size they didnt have, their stock is still good!) so I patiently waited about 5 business days for them to arrive at my doorstep but it was so worth it!!!! These are my second pair of work shoes I've bought from Edward because he really knows his stuff. He's a long distance runner with decades of experience and if you're in need of some professional guidance on running shoes, whatever your endeavors may be, Edward will help you find the right shoes for your step!

This is a good spot to start if you're coming to the outlets for shoes. We like to start here…read morewhenever we come with our kids as they have a good selection of brands and styles vs. most other stores in the outlets that are specific to a brand. Do they always have something we want? No. But sometimes the do and other times they help us get a sense of what to look out for at the other shops. It's a great place to at least dip your toes in first. Staff is fine. They're often only around when you seek them out. They're not trying to avoid helping, but the store is often bare bones so the staff need to be busy operating the registers and other things vs roaming around looking to help customers. Prices are great though. So if you find something you like, don't hesitate to pick them up. Chances are you either won't find the same thing in the area or, if you do, for the same price.

DSW has it all for everyone. If its for your feet they have it. Plenty of brands at prices to…read moreplease everyone. You just need to spend the time to look. Ive gotten beautiful boots here, shiny heels and Sketcher slip ons with memory foam. Plenty of extras from handbags to socks, sunglasses and plushies. I am a fan.

Back in my day…read more... When I was a kid... When I needed new shoes... I used to LOVE going to Payless ShoeSource where I'd get my new kicks right before the school year started. Brands like Airwalk, L.A. Gear, Rugged Outback... Yeah, I was the coolest kid in school back in the 90's... Ha! Sadly, like most of the iconic businesses from my youth, Payless ShoeSource filed for bankruptcy and the famous footwear brand went under. Besides the cool shoes that I could pick out on my own... What I loved most about Payless... (Or should I say what my mom or dad who were paying loved most)... Was.... The infamous B.O.G.O offer: Yeah!!! The Buy One, Get One for 50% off deal!!! Aww yes, the good 'ol' days! --------------------- Fast forward 30 years... And now, I am a parent, a Dad who now has the honor to buy shoes for my own, three beautiful daughters as they gear up for the school year. But sadly there's no Payless ShoeSource to be found. ------------------- Enter the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse!!! Yeah, things have changed a lot since the 90's. Now, instead of shopping at a small-box shoe store with maybe 6 aisles of footwear... We enter the Big-Box shoe warehouse with aisles and aisles of every style of shoe you can think of. But if you're looking for those cool "skater" Airwalks or those Rugged Outback work boots like I used to rock in the 90's pretending I was in Timbaland's crew... You ain't gonna find 'em. Like I said, things have changed! Instead of shopping off-brand shoe brands that back in my day were able to hold their own on the playground... My kids are getting name-brand shoes that I just pray stay clean enough to last them the entirety of the school year. And let's not start on the comparison of prices then vs now. The Nikes you want are how much?? You are 5 and going into Kindergarten girl! But hey, that's life! #GirlDad In all seriousness, DSW is THE place to get all the latest and greatest footwear brands all in one place. And for the WHOLE family too! Brands like: Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Converse, UGG, Crocs, Skechers, Birkenstock, Cole Haan, Dr. Martin's, Puma, Reebok & Van's.... Just to name a few. But remember it's DSW and the "D" stands for Designer, so don't forget to check out their offer on Luxury Designer Brands like: Burberry & Balenciaga Yep! You heard me right! (More than likely, these high end designer brands will have to be purchased from DSW.Com). Besides getting new kicks for you, the wifey and your S.U.V full of kids... DSW offers all of the accessories you may need to compliment your new sneaks. Socks, shoe cleaner, belts, hats, bags $ & accessories.... Yes, a look from head to toe minus the clothes.... There's a Nordstrom Rack next door, you're welcome! ------------ Side Note: Brands from my youth that have previously gone under are making a comeback! Like... Toys R Us is coming back!!! Maybe, just maybe Payless ShoeSource will rise once again and I can go get me some Airwalks, ha! But until then.... DSW is where I'm comin' when my kids need new shoes!

My fiancé and I visited the Famous Footwear location in Moorpark CA last night expecting a normal,…read morepleasant shopping experience, but left feeling completely shaken. While trying on a pair of boots, I briefly sat on a ladder that had been left out on the sales floor. Within seconds, an employee named Alexis (brown Nike sweater) rushed over and, in an aggressive tone, demanded that I "get off the ladder right now." I immediately acknowledged her and began complying, but I needed a moment to put my shoe back on. Despite this, she continued repeating, in a raised and hostile voice, that I needed to get off "right now," not allowing me even a second to finish putting my shoe on. I asked why I was being spoken to that way while actively complying, but the tone never changed. At one point, she stated she was "not going to get in trouble for this." Once I stood up, she forcefully pushed the ladder toward the back of the store in a visibly frustrated manner, murmuring curse words under her breath and even running into an aisle. This entire interaction happened in front of other customers, including a family. I asked for her name and to speak with a manager, but was told no manager was present and to go to the cashier. By the time I got to the front, I was visibly shaking and trying to hold back tears because I couldn't believe how I had just been spoken to. The cashier (glasses lady) initially seemed somewhat understanding and told me I could contact the store manager (Humberto) the next day. However, when my fiancé went back in to ask for a customer service number to file a formal complaint, her demeanor completely changed. She became dismissive, said "there are two sides to the story," and refused to provide any additional help or explanation. At that point, it felt like we were being treated as if we were lying or had done something wrong. I fully understand safety concerns and would have had absolutely no issue moving if I had been approached in a calm and respectful way. A simple, "Hey, I'm sorry, we can't have customers sit on the ladder, but you're welcome to use the seating area," would have resolved this immediately. Instead, the situation was handled with hostility from the start and escalated unnecessarily, leaving me so upset that I left the store in tears. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, and no customer should be treated this way over something so minor.
