About four months out from the wedding we had a consultation where we talked through my - well lack of - skin care routine and she gave great suggestions that have been so easy to implement into my chaotic daily life. For the wedding makeup, I expressed my concern of looking too processed and overdone as I have felt I've looked other times I've had my makeup done professionally. She was so thoughtful about what she picked and explained the process in detail as we went. Delaney also goes above and beyond "just" the makeup for the day. We had many folks getting their makeup done the morning of the wedding, and the schedule she built out was exactly perfect. I kept her on through the first look (I am a crier and it was very needed) to do touchups, but she also fully jumped in with helping with my dress, shoes, and anything else you could think of. The receptionist didn't make any calls to indicate they actually tried hard to find someone else. They advertise walk-ins so this was very disappointing seeing as I had an appointment, and have a health issue that prohibits me from driving so I had to take a day off of work, work out a ride, and have an event tomorrow which is why I made my appt for that day/time. On top of that, I was not offered parking validation (which they normally do), so I ended up paying for no services provided.

I've been trying to get my LAST NAME CHANGED in the Ulta system for the longest time. Every time I called customer service, they told me, "Yes, we changed your name." Okay, cool. Then one day I spoke to another customer service representative and she tells me, **"No, you actually have to go into an Ulta store to have your name changed. Excuse me?! WHY?! Y'all could've definitely saved me a trip around the damn city if somebody had told me that from the beginning. So anyway, I go back into the store, tell the lady I need to change my last name, and she changes it. THAT'S IT. No ID. No paperwork. No security questions. Nothing. She literally just changed it. And I'm standing there like, OMG... SHE CHANGED IT! I get back into the car and tell Hubby, they finally changed my last name! He's like, oh that's cool. Fast forward...I open the Ulta app. No maiden name change. I said, oh my goodness. We gotta go back. I'm already preparing myself for another Ulta adventure, another explanation, another customer service conversation, possibly a congressional hearing at this point. But before I grabbed my purse, I said, let me just log out and log back in. I logged out. Logged back in. And voila my name was updated Anyway, 10/10 for the ladies being nice and helping me with my return AND finally getting my name changed.
