I never heard anything for two days, so I called their office. They basically refused to see me. I got the feeling they did not want to step on the other doctor's toes and were going along with his diagnosis without giving me an examination as my doctor requested. They suggested I go to Penn State Hershey, still without diagnosing my issue separately. I would not recommend this practice as they tend to pick and choose without seeing the patient. I can't say that poor patient care was an issue, for I was never seen. I felt bad for the person on the phone, as she was being advised by someone else, who could have given me the courtesy of speaking to me directly. In a word, describing them.... condescending! Definitely not patient-focused.

Dr Funk is a true artist who takes great pride in his work, as one can tell by the end results. Dr Funk is kind, gentle & caring & always greets one with a great smile. He knows my family & he never fails to ask how they are doing. His staff are an extension of Dr Funk. The assistant's tone was sharp, condescending, scolding, impatient. Great style for a Drill Instructor in a Marine boot camp, but completely out of place when interacting with a paying customer. So we fired Dr. McGillis before ever meeting her.

They said it would take pressure off my legs and they would feel better and it would eliminate spider and varicose veins. They did my right leg first and it was very painful. Two years later, my bruises and tenderness have not gone away despite various attempts by this place to "fix" it, sometimes it hurts to even touch my leg. My leg has never looked worse and right now it is 2 am and I'm still awake because it is aching so badly. This happens a few times a week. I would NEVER have surgery with Dr. Tobias Long again, and based on my experience, I would not…read morerecommend him. I had an upper abdominal abdominoplasty. I weighed about 110 pounds and my concern was loose skin above my belly button. When the markings were made before surgery, I specifically questioned whether enough skin was going to be removed. I was assured that it was enough and that if necessary, more could be done later. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. From the beginning, I was unhappy with the result. At every follow-up appointment, I made my concerns very clear. The sutures he used took MONTHS to heal. When I questioned whether there was still suture material in my skin, he attempted to remove some and told me there was nothing else there. Three weeks later, what looked like fishing-line material literally came out of my skin. I waited the entire six months post-op before asking about what could be done because I wanted to give my body the proper amount of time to heal. After waiting six months, I was told that he couldn't fix me and that my expectations were "too high." Let that sink in. I had a procedure because I wanted the loose skin addressed, I questioned the amount being removed BEFORE surgery, repeatedly voiced my concerns AFTER surgery, waited the full six months for healing, and was ultimately left with significant scarring and, in my opinion, approximately 10% improvement. The result is not what I expected, and what is even more upsetting is how I felt my concerns were handled throughout the process. I didn't expect perfection. I expected to be heard, taken seriously, and given options when I was unhappy with the result. Instead, I was told my expectations were too high. That statement was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable to me as a patient. I am sharing this because I wish I had heard an honest patient experience like mine before making my decision. Do your research. Ask questions. Look at results. Ask what happens if you're unhappy with the outcome. And most importantly, make sure you feel confident that your surgeon will listen to you AFTER you have handed over your money and undergone the procedure. I would not do this again with Dr. Long. I would not recommend him to anyone considering this surgery. This was my experience, and unfortunately, I am the one who has to live with the scars and the result.

I had a breast reduction with Dr. Long about a year ago. At first, I felt confident I had chosen…read morethe right surgeon after being approved multiple times in the past and waiting until I found someone I trusted. Within the first week of recovery, I had significant pain and swelling on my left side and could not fully lower my arm. I repeatedly contacted the office and was consistently told this was normal. Three weeks post-op, I developed a hematoma that was not drained, which caused my incision to reopen. Despite calling the office multiple times a week with concerns, I was still reassured this was normal healing. By my one-month follow-up, I had multiple open areas under my breast. Although it was visibly concerning, I was told it would just take longer to heal and the scarring would not be worse. A week later, another physician immediately diagnosed tissue and fat necrosis. I required antibiotics and was told it was too late to return to the OR. As a result, I ultimately needed significant revision surgery, including large scar revisions on both sides and augmentation to correct damage caused by the untreated hematoma. This was a long, painful recovery that I believe could have been prevented if my concerns had been addressed earlier.
