I only visited this practice on Lime St. one time, and I have to agree with the others who gave it a poor review. Staff is all around lousy, from the person I spoke to on the phone and front desk who couldn't seem to care less whether I wanted to be a patient there, to the nurse who took me back and didn't seem to care either- which made me wonder why she felt the need to come back in with the doctor and observe, other than she likes to make you feel awkward. The doctor only looked at me from the waist up, which I now know is insufficient for someone at risk or with a history of skin cancer- you should get a full body exam (not great for the self-conscious, but necessary). Anyway, if you're look for a good dermatology practice I would recommend one of the Dermatology of York locations (York, Hanover, Gettysburg, Mechanicsburg), I'm a regular there now and it's great. read more

Appointments are always at least 30 minutes behind schedule. Plan on that. The office staff is nice.

The physician I saw today and at previous visit didn't seem to recall what he told me was the cause of my rash. When I told him what he said, he read my chart and there it was. He stated that he doesn't know why he ever told me that. My level of trust dropped at that point. The receptionist never looked at me or greeted me upon my arrival. The nurse was great. read more

I advised the nurse and the PA that I was shopping for a dermatologist closer to home. I need routine monitoring for melanoma. The nurse (Michelle?) was very pleasant and thorough. The PA, Kara, did a full-body exam in five minutes, that's less than my MD dermatologist spends, even after seeing her for two years. My MD advised me to be seen by an MD. The PA stated it was my right to do so, BUT they only have 2 1/2 who are very busy and difficult to see. She could not have read any of the extensive pre-visit data that they require, which took over an hour to prepare. She was rushed and dismissive. I didn't bother asking why she thought I should become a ongoing patient. read more

Waited over an hour to be seen and there was not one other person in the waiting room. When I asked if they were running behind, they told me it was a slow day and they were on time. I would hate to see the wait times when they are busy. read more

I would advise anyone who is looking for a dermatologist to not go to this one. I have gone here before to have basal cell cancers treated and It was ok, not great but ok. This time, I had noticed a basal cell cancer developing on my leg. I made an appointment and went on that day. The doctor came in the room carrying a can of liquid nitrogen, sprayed the basal cell cell cancer and I left, paying my $30.00 co-pay. Three months later I received a bill for $141.00. I called the office and questioned this. I was told that I had been charged $170.00 for an office visit, my insurance had covered $75.00. Next, I was charged $135.00 because I was an established patient and the insurance covered $58.27. Then I was given credit for the $30.00 co-pay. Somehow this resulted in a bill for $141,00, When I called and questioned the bill I was told that it was legal to charge for an office visit and the surgical procedure separately. This was one visit where the doctor sprayed a basal cell cancer that was developing on my leg. The woman who I spoke to was annoyed that I should question the bill and take up her time. My advice---do not go here. read more

Two hours before my scheduled appointment, they call me and tell me that they no longer take my insurance. I had transportation already arranged and was really counting on seeing them because I am sure I have a spot of basal cell carcinoma. They said I could pay out of pocket, but seeing that I am on a fixed income, I have no money to pay that option read more

Saw the PA Mareena at the Oregon Pike location. HORRIBLE experience. I will not go back. She treated me like a leper - as if I was contagious and she stood as far away as she could. Asked one question, in a condescending tone, didn't listen to my response and left. What a horrible provider. read more

Felt the need to add on to this disaster. They called in the wrong prescription yet again so I had to call back for a third time to get what I initially went there for. A nurse called me back a day later and said because of my yelp review they would not be filling my script !!! I'm fairly certain that is against the board of ethics. I paid for my appointment there and they didn't properly call in my medication and are punishing me because of a yelp review. i had my reservations coming to the Laser and Skin Care Center.... i didnt tolerate the older IPL machines The receptionist (didnt catch her name)... was lovely Rita the RN Tech was just so awesome Made me feel so comfortable and the biggest kicker It really didnt hurt..no numbing cream nothing! why did I wait so long Im going back w no hesitation! .hopefully I have decent results not askin for miracle s just improvement we'll see,, read more

My experience at the Willow Street office was not very pleasant, I waited in the waiting room for 50 minutes. When I was called back the nurse asked how I was doing I told her I was ok but a little irritated I waited almost an hour to be called back, I asked her if the wait time was always that long since I'm a first time patient and her response was that she doesn't keep tract of how long the patients wait, and that I could choose another provider if I wanted to.I've never experienced such ignorance from a nurse, encouraging me to go somewhere else WOW!! She was rude from the start, all she had to say to me was sorry for the wait, we're backed up today something, I would of understood that. But to tell me to go to another provider is unacceptable! Dr Berman I would consider talking to your nurse Deb because she has no bedside manners, and is encouraging your patients to go elsewhere.Just a word of advice. Not a good first impression.Needless to say Dr Berman was friendly and so was the front desk.But not Deb she told me she's waiting to retire,hopefully it's sooner than later lol ! read more

Never even got into the door. My Dr sent a referral on Dec 10. Never heard anything. I called on Jan 29, and the rude woman told me they don't keep things that long. So I called my Dr and they sent another referral on Jan 30th. Called Jan 31, and got rude McRudepants again. She now HAD my referral from Dec 10th, but told me it would take weeks till she would get to it, all the while belittling my issues, and telling my multiple times I could check other offices. They obviously didn't care about me and my issues, and apparently don't need new patients. Don't bother with them....I'd recommend Dermatology Associates. They were much nicer, helpful, and actually cared about helping me. read more

Simply awful. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes to be seen, and past appointments have brought me long wait times as well. This was by far the longest. The secretary was the opposite of empathetic with the frustrated patients, and simply exclaimed her own frustration with her "crazy" day of mishaps with her coworkers. My visit further aggravated me, as it typically does, because all of their physicians are condescending, ramble on with verbose language, and profit-driven. My script changed for what might as well be the millionth time. Any physician's office that forgets their patients are CUSTOMERS deserves a terrible rating. The health campus location is a bit more efficient in terms of wait times, however the same physicians are there so it doesn't change much. I'm searching for a new dermatologist. read more

Dermatology Physicians is a great place and I think the receptionists are friendly. Their offices are super busy because they are so good! I totally disagree with these negative reviews! You cannot call a specialist office and tell them what time you can come in - that is not realistic. The bottom line is that you get good care and you do here! I will continue to go back and will refer other people to them. read more

Dermatologists are hard to get appointments with. I called as a new patient and was told I couldn't be seen for months.The receptionist was very kind explaining the situation and put me on a cancellation list. I called other Dermatologists in Lancaster and was told they are not taking new patients. Dermatology Physicians called me back a few weeks later and I was able to get an appointment for November, over a month sooner. Everyone I spoke with at the office was helpful, friendly and kind. The doctor I saw was nice and professional. I'm positing this because I don't think enough people take the time to say good job, people usually just post negatives. I would recommend this practice to my friends and family. read more

This practice is the worst. I missed work and plunked down $50 for each appointment (3). I have seen 2 doctors and a PA'. First dr. misdiagnosed my condition. The 2nd dr. didn't have a clue and just guessed what might be wrong. The PA was so young and inexperienced, she didn't even review my medical history and was avoiding my issues completely...Psoriasis open like knife cuts all over my body...she didn't even get close enough to see the open wounds on my body and gave me no resolutions. Topicals were prescribed and she said my healing could take a long time. I asked how long?? She said she wasn't sure...maybe months. My finger was infected with cellulitis and I'm a concert pianist and haven't played in 9 weeks. No solutions, no real response. When the dr. left the room, the nurse was so sympathetic and said to me..."you must be so frustrated"....I affirmed that I certainly was. They've lost a patient that needed expertise that they could not give. read more

Doctors are fine as long as you can tolerate their extremely RUDE receptionist at the Lime St location. She is flat out horrible to people and really just messes with them during the check in process. I listened to her tell a woman who just checked in and was trying to leave her insurance card because she knew they would ask for it, that "can't she see that I'm busy? I can only do one thing at a time!" She RUDELY told her that she should provide it when asked and not before! The poor woman then sat down and she immediately called her back up for the card. She should have asked her to hang on for a second. The best part is that I went to check out, she asked if I was signing in! I couldn't help my self so after watching her be so mean to so many people I said "I don't want to be seen again." She looked mildly offended but I say Karma baby! I would go elsewhere but this is where my insurance dictates and the physician that I see is fine. read more
