His skill and expertise has helped me, my family, and friends. I recommend him to anyone who is suffering from ear, nose, sinus, or throat problems; whether chronic or acute. He is a resource and a calm voice of guidance and action with difficult health issues. I can thank him for the ability to hear after suffering from an undiagnosed mastoiditis infection. I had suffered from dozens of ear infections throughout my life, but two years ago, this one felt different. I had been treated by my primary care doctor and had even gone to urgent care when vertigo, hearing loss, and pain increased despite treatment. Dr. Hudson's receptionist got me in for an appointment quickly. After a brief exam, interview, and in-office CT scan, I was diagnosed with a mastoid infection and scheduled for a surgical procedure. Three weeks into the infection, with conventional antibiotics not effective, I had a 50 decibel differential between ears (one infected, one not). My hearing was not restored after the surgery and took months to return and heal. It was a scary time but I knew everything had been done to ensure my best chance of recovery. Without Dr. Hudson's intervention I am certain I would have suffered permanent hearing damage and progression of the infection. Dr. Hudson has managed complex and challenging conditions for my loved ones, each condition requiring a different set of skills and knowledge. Not only does Dr. Hudson have outstanding technical skill and uses innovative yet scientifically grounded approaches to all ENT conditions, he genuinely cares for his patients. An exceptional, world-class expert right in Reno; a true gift to his patients and community.

They have every reason under the sun. Talked to my insurance and I know its in network after they said it wasn't. Dr. Lough performed two surgical procedures for me over the last two months. In both cases Dr…read more Lough fully explained why the procedure was necessary and what alternatives were available. Dr. Lough met me in pre-op prior to each procedure to address any concerns I had and contacted my wife immediately after the procedure to confirm that the surgery has gone smoothly. Follow-up was thorough and the results were exactly what I was told to expect. The front office staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Lough is fast, efficient, diligent and well respected by the surgical staff at Renown. If you need an ENT look no further.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience with Dr. Lough…read more I brought my 12-year-old daughter to this office for an evaluation of chronic snoring that has persisted for several years. She was extremely nervous about the appointment and was visibly shaking when Dr. Lough entered the room. Rather than helping put her at ease, the interaction felt cold and dismissive from the start. When I explained her anxiety, his response came across as sarcastic rather than reassuring. Throughout the visit, I felt that both my concerns and my daughter's concerns were minimized. When I shared observations about her symptoms and experiences from speaking with other parents, I was told that I was "saying a lot of right things, but also a lot of wrong things." The comment felt unnecessarily condescending and immediately shut down what should have been a collaborative discussion. The examination itself was very brief. Dr. Lough noted that my daughter has large tonsils and suggested that she may simply need to "grow into them." While I understand that surgery is not always the appropriate solution, I was hoping for a more thorough discussion about possible causes, treatment options, next steps, or what symptoms we should continue monitoring. Instead, I left feeling as though our concerns were dismissed. What disappointed me most was the lack of bedside manner. Medical expertise is important, but so is communication, especially when working with children who are already anxious about a medical appointment. My daughter commented on the way she was treated as soon as we got back to the car, which reinforced my own concerns about the interaction. I want to be clear that my review is specifically regarding my experience with Dr. Lough and not the office staff. Overall I did not care for the establishment. Unfortunately, based on our experience with this provider, I would not recommend him to families seeking a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Three months ago I met with Dr. Hudson and his team and was given three options. Dr. Hudson recommended a sinus balloon dilation. I just wish I had found this practice earlier but I am so thankful to my primary physician, Dr. Tyhssen for setting it up. Great Doctor and staff and a very happen patient. Never thought I would rave about a medical procedure but this warranted it.

But when you're trying to figure out what's actually going on, having a doctor who listens and takes the time to explain things makes such a difference. Dr. Meier was great! He was thorough, listened to my concerns, and helped me better understand what could be contributing to my symptoms. He recommended Reflux Gourmet, Nasacort, and the NeilMed Sinus Rinse -- which I already use. I really appreciated his professionalism, patience, and genuine concern. It was reassuring to have someone take the time to look at the bigger picture rather than just focusing on one symptom. Overall, I'm glad I made the appointment and would definitely recommend Dr. Meier to anyone looking for an ENT who takes the time to listen and explain.

I had tried to explain to Josh, that my situation was complicated and needed time to go through it…read more He was incredibly impatient and it was clear he wanted to rush me out of the room. He proceeded to scope me after I had said that I had already been scoped before. This could have been avoided, and it was never explained that this was going to be a significant extra charge. Josh had also denied me surgery - 3 other ENTS afterward had all highly recommended surgery after being significantly more thorough than Josh. Due to Josh's lackadaisical/rude attitude and plain laziness, I now am unable to get the surgery I needed and after I met my deductible. I now am left with a reset on my insurance due to his grotesque negligence, but even after working with the kind office manager, Crystal, he will not budge on removing the charge he placed on my account. I truly do not understand the praise this boy is receiving after the very impatient and heartless attitude that I received/witnessed. Please go anywhere else if you are able - I'd be concerned of misdiagnosis//missing critical aspects of your health due to Josh's attitude problem.

I don't even know where to start. Upon checking in, I was told I had to pay a copay - which is…read moretotally fine- but in a world with HRA plans at the beginning of the calendar year and insurance plans that pay 100%, I advised my insurance would pay in full. The gal advised me that it was the doctor's policy to collect a copay whether they have one or not, and then said "if you don't agree with it, you can not be seen and pay the $25 no-show cancel fee instead." I completely understand being precautionary and the doctor collecting the coinsurance upfront - but the staff should be encouraged to show a little bit of empathy and not be snarky and rude on a patient's first visit (or any visit!) We saw the doctor for a total of 5 minutes... Within 5 minutes of the appointment time - which is what justifies even 1 star- but then were told we had to stand in a narrow hallway to check-out. There was a line with 2 people ahead of us to check out. We were not acknowledged by anyone - other than other workers asking us to move out of their way so they could bring patients from the waiting room to the exam rooms. After TWENTY MINUTES of employees avoiding the checkout line - and not being acknowledged and having employees avoid eye contact - I finally walked out. This prompted the check out lady to run out the door chasing me to get my paperwork. She apologized for our bad experience - which also supports the single star rating... If I could have rated zero stars, I would have. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment and will not be returning. Tip to the doctors: your office staff is clearly under appreciated and have zero expectations for providing customer service. Empathy and acknowledgement go far in this world. And I will drive across town to another doctor that's not as convenient to avoid ever stepping in your office again.

I began seeing Dr. Lokshin on a previous doctor's recommendation in 1996. I have allergies and asthma, and was also wanting to begin allergy shots for pet dander. I was impressed from my first visit with Dr. Lokshin's quiet competence; he asked many questions to ensure that I would receive the best care tailored to my needs. Over the years, my asthma and allergies remained under control with the occasional tweak to my regimen. If a medication wasn't working for me, he made sure to find a suitable alternative. This is a doctor who most definitely makes his patient's individual needs and care his utmost priority and this shows in his demeanor and prescribed care. I would highly recommend Dr. Lokshin to my family and friends. If you're in Reno/Sparks and need an allergist, make an appointment with him today!
