If you go for a ball joint, they will sell you control arms. They will say, it will be impossible to do the job without the upgrade. They prefer to use their source for parts because they make upwards of 30% on that brand. Lastly, they will charge you $50 for 2 rags and 1.00 worth of break fluid. My advise, go somewhere else for the same price.

Scott determined that my engine compression was just fine and that my carburetors needed to be rebuilt and the engine needed to be tuned, among other things and now the car is running better than ever and it cost me a small fraction of the cost to do an unnecessary rebuild. No one is touching my baby from now on except Scott!

When I went in to pick up the truck, the cost was $1,294.40. Mike said it needed more work than he originally thought. When I compared the price of the parts to the exact same parts from the exact same supplier, he had charged me 300% of the price I could get from that supplier. I called Mike to ask him if their normal upcharge was that much, and he said it was. The work appears to have been performed well, and the truck is fine. That said, a 300% upcharge is far too much. I'm a big supporter of local business, but this is unconscionable.

Two changes before this week's, I went, and as usual, there was a new guy, only he was working alone and going between 2 vehicles. The experience was different. I got home and told my husband it didn't seem like they did what they usually do and he never checked the oil when he was done. My husband checked it immediately. It was dirty oil and way over full. We called immediately and brought it back the next day. The manager confirmed the oil was dirty and over filled. He said it likely didn't drain properly. The next time my husband took it and everything went ok. This time was all new people except the manager. When I got home my husband noticed they wrote it was a quart low on arrival. My car is well maintained and never should have been a quart of oil low. He checked it and it was again, way over filled. I am so over Prompto in Claremont NH. Maybe pay your help better and get people who actually know how to read my dipstick, which is a little different than most. I will not ever be back. EDIT: My husband took it back and they redid the oil change. I will still never go back. Twice is enough.
