But the reason I don't recommend JM Lexus revolves around the Service Department... I brought my Lexus RZ to JM Lexus in Margate on July 21st for its complimentary 6-month / 5,000-mile service. Because this is an electric vehicle, there are no oil changes, the tire rotation is literally the only physical maintenance task required for this visit, alongside a basic systems check and a recall software update. Knowing how service departments in South Florida can sometimes be, I took a precaution before dropping off my vehicle: I discreetly marked each tire in a different specific location with White-Out. Unfortunately, my caution proved completely justified. 1. The Maintenance That Wasn't Done After waiting about an hour and a half, my vehicle was brought out. Before driving off, I decided to double-check my tire marks. Not a single tire had been moved. They signed off on the service without actually performing the one single maintenance task required for the visit. When I brought this to the service department's attention and showed them my markings, there was no pushback--the proof was undeniable. They took the vehicle back to actually perform the rotation. The technician's excuse was that he didn't realize the tires needed to be rotated because "some RZs have staggered front and rear sizes." Every single tire on my vehicle clearly displays its size on the sidewall and you can plainly see all four are completely identical. Lexus should have detailed service Instructions and quality control checklists for every specific model and trim level. The fact that basic quality control checklists aren't even checked before signing off on work speaks volumes. 2. Interior Stains After waiting a second time for the rotation to be completed, I got back into my vehicle only to find grease and dirt stains smeared across my aftermarket leather floor mats, around the driver-side window buttons, and across the driver door speaker grille. While I don't know who specifically made the stains, it was very disappointing. To their credit, the staff apologized and had detailing clean the vehicle quickly, but it was yet another frustrating delay. 3. Recall Software Update & Unresolved Electronic Glitches Once the interior was cleaned, I finally left the dealership. As I drove, I immediately noticed a serious issue with the panoramic camera view: digital black boxes and corrupted artifacts were appearing under and around the vehicle in real-time while driving and backing up, presumably triggered by the recall software update. I turned right around and returned to the dealership for a third time. After attempting a full electronics reset and inspecting the cameras, the service team was unable to fix the issue. This glitch remains completely unresolved. They informed me it had to be escalated to a specialist (referred to as a "DS," whatever that is) for a future visit. To make matters worse, I was promised an email summary with a tracking case number by today, but true to form, I received nothing. What should have been a routine service visit turned into a multi-hour ordeal involving: -Skipped maintenance on the only physical service task required for an EV. -Interior stains that required an extra trip to detailing. -A corrupted camera system following a recall update that remains unfixed. -Zero follow-through on promised case documentation. My takeaway from this experience is that JM Lexus operates as such a high-volume dealership that basic attention to detail has been completely lost. From skipping basic maintenance to sloppy vehicle handling and unresolved tech glitches, they completely failed at basic quality control and customer communication. They have lost my trust entirely. If you choose to service your vehicle here, I strongly suggest double-checking every single piece of work before driving off.

Vasili never made me feel like i still had to buy the car that day, but i wanted to, and he went above and beyond to make sure my car buying day was still a happy day for me, or as happy as i was able to feel. Throughout the whole process, I felt confident in my decisions, i trusted i was taken care of, and the process was very smooth. Genuinely, if it wasn't for Vasili, i probably would have had a completely different experience, or possibly even looked elsewhere for a car. The accounting guy, as well as a girl who helps teach you the technology, also stuck with me for awhile to make sure i didn't leave disappointed that day.

Our experience started when we walked into the dealership and had to actively seek out a salesperson at their desk just to get someone to assist us. Not exactly the premium customer experience you'd expect, but unfortunately, that was the least of our problems. Before doing anything else, we explicitly informed our salesperson that our trade-in had New Hampshire plates and that we had misplaced the title. We were immediately assured this would not be an issue. With that understanding, we proceeded to select a vehicle, take a test drive, and negotiate a deal. During this time, the dealership evaluated our trade-in, fully aware of the registration and title situation. We agreed to the numbers presented, only for the salesperson to return shortly afterward and inform us that the interest rate he had quoted was incorrect and would actually be higher. I explained that we had agreed to the original terms and would not move forward otherwise. Miraculously, they were then able to honor the original agreement. At this point, things should have been straightforward. Instead, they had us: Complete a credit application and authorize a credit inquiry. Obtain financing approval. Add the new vehicle to our insurance policy. Completely empty our trade-in. Sign trade-in paperwork. Continue through the purchase process under the impression that everything had been resolved. Only after ALL of this did the finance department inform us that they could not complete the transaction without the physical title. The very same issue we had disclosed before ever looking at a vehicle. After more unnecessary back-and-forth, a manager finally appeared with a proposed solution: they could proceed with the transaction, but would withhold approximately $6,500 of our trade-in equity until we provided the title. To be clear, I understand that dealerships have title requirements and procedures to protect themselves. I have absolutely no objection to that. What I object to is being explicitly told there was no issue, having my credit pulled, rearranging my insurance, completing paperwork, and spending hours working toward a deal that the dealership apparently wasn't prepared to honor as originally presented. We declined the revised arrangement and decided to leave. And somehow, the experience managed to get worse. As we were leaving, my wife simply remarked that it would have been nice to know about the title issue two hours earlier. Rather than acknowledge the obvious failure in communication, our salesperson immediately responded defensively and began arguing with her. Imagine mishandling a customer's transaction from beginning to end and then arguing with the customer's wife because she points it out. To top everything off, after the deal fell apart, we discovered that the license plates had been removed from our trade-in and had not been put back on. My wife had to return inside to get that corrected, resulting in yet another unpleasant exchange. This is a BMW dealership. The expectations shouldn't need explaining. Mistakes happen. Policies exist. Deals sometimes fall apart. I understand all of that. What separates a reputable dealership from a poorly operated one is how it communicates, takes responsibility, and treats customers when things don't go according to plan. This dealership failed on every one of those counts. What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase became an exhausting, completely avoidable exercise in wasted time, shifting terms, and disrespectful customer service. I walked in prepared to purchase a vehicle. I walked out questioning how a dealership operating under the BMW name could deliver an experience this poorly managed.

Plenty of people shop online before they make the drive, so here's what that number actually turns into. The window sticker on the car said $24,001. Same car, same lot, $5,100 more than the website. When I pointed it out, the website price was the one they'd "work from." Then I got the worksheet. On top of the $18,900: * Doc fee: $999 * Electronic filing fee: $549 * Reconditioning fee: $1,895 That's $3,443 in dealer fees, more than 18% of the car's price, before a single dollar of tax or registration. The out-the-door number came to $24,161.78. The $1,895 "reconditioning fee" deserves its own paragraph. The car is a trade-in sitting in their garage. It has a worn steering wheel, creasing on the driver's seat, and a battery reading below average for its mileage. Nobody could tell me what was reconditioned. If it was, I couldn't find it. The website's fine print says pricing "may" exclude reconditioning fees. Then it shows up as a $1,895 line item on a $19K car. It's a Subaru dealer selling a Tesla, and it showed. Nobody could confirm whether the Tesla battery warranty was still active, which is the most important question on a used EV. Nobody could tell me the battery's health. I checked both myself, on the car's screen and by calling around, while I waited. The Buyers Guide on the window had the "manufacturer's warranty still applies" box left blank. I made a fair out-the-door offer. After the usual back-and-forth with the finance office, their "final" was $21,746. That's still almost $3,000 over their own advertised price, for a car they couldn't answer basic questions about. To be fair, my salesman Lane was polite and tried. But the problem isn't one salesperson. It's a pricing practice: advertise one number online, then stack fees until it's a different car. If you shop here: screenshot the online price, ask for the itemized out-the-door number before you drive over, and ask exactly what the "reconditioning" was (I would still like to know, specifically .
