$75 for a fill that took 2.5 hours. My daughter and I spent in excess of five hours in the salon for two simple fills. Most of my cuticles are inflamed from the grinder, my thumb nails are 1/4" difference in length and different shapes and I left with nail polish all over my fingers. It looked like I painted them myself. My daughter and I have cuts on our fingers from the reckless grinding and heavy handed use of a heavy grit nail file. The same heavy grit file that cut my daughter was used on me and who knows how many other clients without being cleaned or sanitized. In addition to this my daughter requested to have her almond shaped nails shortened and the tech refused saying that "short almond shaped nails look like chicken feet" and proceeded to file them into coffin shape without my daughter's consent. Glue was dripped on her nail polish and left to dry. Cuticle clippers were used to pry the gunk off of the tech's glue bottle then placed in a drawer... unsanitized, ready for the next client. Be prepared to pay $75-$100 just for a fill. Do not buy into the hype. Also be aware of what you are being charged in advance and get it in writing. I specifically asked if the deposit would be deducted from the price charged and the tech assured me that it would but it was not. The tech had a chip to run our cards through her personal phone. Great...someone I do not know from Adam with my personal information. Also be aware that these spaces are rented to sub-contractors and there appears to be no oversight by the owner. Bottom line is this tech should NOT be doing nails. Side note ...someone may want to check into their sanitary disposal and sanitation processes. There are tips and nail dust all over the floor so much that they crunch under your feet. After over twenty years of having my nails done I can easily say that this was the worst nail experience of my life. This was the nail experience from hell. We will never be going back. This was my first time trying this nail salon. I didn't have an appointment but their site said walk-ins welcome so I decided to give it a shot. I originally went in for a gel manicure but the nail tech available insisted I do SNS (which I had a bad experience with in the past but I thought I could give it another go). This should have been my first sign. I honestly have mixed reviews about this place. I'm extremely picky about my nails and how they are done. I go about every two to three weeks regularly. Overall, after the fact, my nails are now presentable but I wish I took a picture immediately after because this picture shown is AFTER I filed them straight and removed the excess SNS from the sides and underneath my nails. However, I will say that I am fairly disappointed in the fact that I basically paid $45 plus tip for a fancy polish change. There was no "manicure" which usually includes cuticle and nail shaping, lotion etc. I was still there for over an hour. My nail tech was not much for idle chatter and made for a slightly awkward appointment (She spoke fluent English). This place is kind of like the Jiffy Lube of nail salons. Will get the job done but at the end, you wonder if you got ripped off for the services you actually received and there are absolutely zero frills offered. I may give this place another chance at some point and will update this review then but for now, it looks like I'm going to my usual spot in Dr. Phillips. read more

This was my first time coming here and I was beyond excited to get my nails done because I see all of the beautiful pictures on their social media. I ended up being really disappointed. The lady who did my nails was the sweetest lady, but I was expecting the nails I see on their Instagram and I just didn't get that quality. The acrylic is super thick and the nails are bumpy and when I got home the gel top coat I paid extra for started bubbling up on my thumb. These ladies in here worked their A$$e$ off! I first heard about Meraki from having Instagram. I was following them for the LONGEST time and when I heard that they were finally opening up a nail salon in Winter Garden, I did not hesitate to book me a flight and go see what the hype was all about. From Orlando, the ride here is about a 45 minute drive, but let me tell you, that it's all worth it! These ladies will have you looking like a million dollars when you leave out of here. Mindy is a big icon in the nail industry and has been for many years in Orlando. She specializes in artificial nails and extreme nail design. She has been in multiple magazines, videos and social media. The nail salon offered pedicures, manicures, Henna, waxing, face and body, and even micro blading. (Ladies, they had it all here). The prices were not the cheapest but you pay for what you get. Henna's were done by the lovely Salma! She has been doing nails for over 6 years and is amazing at the work she does. She also speaks Arabic and she offered bridal make up at this location as well. Jakyra-Was the beauty of body waxing. She offered wax and tine services. My all-time favorite that did my nails was the amazing, Ileana. Ileana is the one I am trying going to miss. I really wish the best for her because I know how much she had a love for doing nails. She really took her time doing my nails and was so detailed. From the shape to the design, everything was perfect. I would definitely refer anyone to her! She is an extremely artistic designer and creates designs you would have never thought about. She also has such a friendly demeanor. She is sweet, caring and funny, she had me laughing and made me totally feel welcomed during the experience here. Overall, I am truly sad to see they have closed down and really wish they open up another location very soon. I have been encouraging Mindy to come to California and come teach our nail salons a thing or two (since we are SO behind on designs out here). This is the absolute WORST nail studio I have been to in my life, by MILES. I made appointments online January 24th for my mom and I to get our nails filled on January 26th. (I paid two $20.00 deposits that allegedly go towards the cost of your service... that is a blatant lie). I booked back to back appointments for the same nail tech, not expecting that FIVE HOURS later we would be done. It took two and a half hours for each of us to get simple fills. Unbelievable. The nail tech used a super heavy-grit nail file and sliced up three of my fingers, then continued to use that file on my mom right after me without any kind of proper sanitation completed. I'm afraid to know how many people's skin she's filed off to the point where it's drawn blood before I was the next lucky winner. So disgusting. I told the nail tech that I wanted something simple and natural looking, but would be okay with a couple little rhinestones. I left this place with sloppily glued on giant rocks on both of my ring fingers and glue drips all over my middle fingers. When I got home, I finally realized that for what I was told was a $70.00 service, which is a racket for the awful quality of my nails as it is, I was charged a total of $90.00 as my "deposit" was not accounted for. The salon is beautiful when you walk in but, though they look good, the chairs for pedicures are not comfortable. Lastly I was very irritated while trying to pick out my color; they don't have color samples and the gel nail polish bottles were black meaning I had to sit there for 20 minutes while opening each bottle. read more

for starters, there are two locations; one in cassleberry and the original location in wintergarder. my mom and i came from new york and are staying in lake buena vista, location didn't matter to us. i found the person i wanted to do my nails and the day, and went to that location which happened to be wintergarden. i gave this location four stars simply because there's always room for improvement anywhere you go. it was a fairly small building, but it works. i don't normally get my nails done but i wanted to feel extra cute while on vacation, so i looked through meraki's instagram and found karina. i was obsessed with her work so i booked my appointment for the day we got here (last saturday). she's so sweet, easy to talk to and she's willing to do anything to make you satisified with your experience and nails. still, a week later, i'm in awe of my nails. none have chipped or broken off, though they do get caught on a lot. yes, they were "pricey" but for a good set of nails, it was worth it. i can understand those that are pissed about them breaking off so soon. i got the marble like nails, which she did with sharpie and alcohol (blew my mind) and on one finger i got a hamsa hand gem. all together it came to $80, but for now, i still think it was worth it. if anything happens, i'll update this. read more

I got my nails done at this place a few days ago with my friend. We were super excited to finally find a place that could do what we wanted and more. The people were awesome and so was my nails but I was able to receive a coupon from a couple of nail techs from meraki beauty studio last week. It was on one of their business cards and signed by the owner, mindy! The nail techs never informed me it was only for winter garden location and the card had All of the locations on it. So, I was disappointed I could not use a 20% off coupon for it that was signed by the OWNER!! Plus, the lady that checked us out did not know of the coupon and called the owner, mindy. She did informed her it was only for the location in winter garden and I would have pushed for it but was receiving these dirty looks from the rest of the workers. When I was checking out I noticed that mindy was calling the girl and told her that she was. She did not offer anything on be half of mindy or the store. I was hoping to go back there to get other services done and now I don't want too, especially if they have a deal or special going on and they can't honor it!! The low rating I am giving is to the Owner Mindy personally. I received an email at 9pm advising the appointment i made months ago has been cancelled. For the amount you pay to get your nails done here you would think customer service would match. I am utterly disgusted with how this was handled and to see another post about the same issue let's me know nothing was corrected. I am pretty sure if we were some "celebrity or reality star'" customer that would have never have happened. Quit expanding till you master the basics. read more

Do not get the teeth whitening...I noticed that as soon as I got in the car it was no where near as bright as when she had just finished whitening them..and my teeth are medium white...I was so excited to get in the car to put on my lipstick to see the beautiful white contrast but it wasn't bright...I thought it was in my head.. But by the next day...It didn't look like I ever had them whitened..I was shocked. I was skeptical because the real dental office whitening called Zoom is $500..This was $115. It's because it doesn't work. The whitening tech was super nice though. Also for $100 these nails pop off faster than the $30 full sets at regular nail salons. Both times I've had my nails done they popped off in about 6 days. Beautiful designs and perfect shaping...The nails just don't last. read more

You get the same top-notch service throughout Meraki. Mindy trains these ladies to slay nails and they do each and every time. They all do quality work that will last at least 3 weeks. The creativity flows not only in their work but the salon itself. It exudes beauty, love and elegance to empower everyone who walks through the doors. Its a very comfortable place and its very clean, which I appreciate in a nail salon. I also had my teeth whitened and eyebrows done there by Joely who is a delight as well. This review is for the Kissimmee location as I don't see it listed yet on yelp so I had to place my review here- to my understanding it's owned by the same person(Mindy H.) So I was referred here through someone that saw their designs and thought it may be a great spot. I recently moved to the Kissimmee area and have been looking for a good nail salon to avoid getting on the turnpike and driving all the way by the milenia mall area. To any event I am giving this place 2 stars one for the cleanliness and the ambience and the other for the nail tech being pleasant to work with. However, I don't think I will ever go back to this place after today. First of all I booked an appointment with Brenda for 12pm I got there at 1145am and she was not there. No one called me to reschedule or see if I would like to see someone else. It's funny how they have a cancellation policy that states they need a 48hr notice but no one took the time to notify me. So Mindy tells me there are 2 other nail techs that can take me one was busy the other wasn't. So I set down with Chanyle who was very pleasant, but she didn't do the nail style I wanted. I wanted SNS or regular acrylic with pink and white and this wasn't something she could do. She did suggest that this other tech do them however, it was this tech's first day as she was new so I wasn't feeling that. When the lady next to me asked her tech what was SNS she began saying how it was acrylic and people think it's better than regular acrylic but it's not it is still powder and her approach on the matter to me was very unprofessional. Especially since it was something I wanted and clearly she knew that. Long story short I ended up just asking to have my SNS soaked off and a manicure. The soak off was 10$ and the manicure was 15$ mind you I didn't get a polish on my nails just clear coat- one coat mind you and she clipped my cuticles and filed my nails down. I really don't think a soak off and file is worth 25$. I am not cheap by a long shot I have no problem paying whatever for quality work. But there was no lotion applied no arm massage I just don't see it being worth that and I really feel some type of way for no one calling me about the cancellation. I had an appointment with Mindy Hardy and it was cancelled via email on short notice. My appointment was scheduled a month or so in advance. I called the salon to find out why my appointment was cancelled. I was told that it was cancelled because Mindy no longer traveled to that particular salon location. I was told that I could make an appointment at a another location but it was not guaranteed she would be available. I think it is poor customer service to cancel my appointment without checking with me and given me the option to travel to another location so I could keep the appointment which I made a month or so in advance. I will no longer use this salon because customer service should be of upmost importance to a business owner when running a business. read more

My friend found this salon on Instagram and from the pictures they looked like they knew what they were doing. We get to the salon and it was busy so we expected to wait even though she had an appointment. However we did not expect to wait 2 hours after her appointment to finally be helped. I was a walk in and was seated 20 minutes after her. The nail tech that did my nails was very unprofessional and was on her phone the entire time. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars is because the receptionist was friendly and the shaping was decent. My nail color started to turn brown on the second day and was completely brown by the third. By the fourth day two of my nails were broken. I've been to many nail salons including Walmart and never have my nails looked this bad. read more

I was very unhappy with my service at #MerakiBeautyStudio When i spoke to the owner she said I needed to come in and soak them off in order to get a refund.. And now I have to go fix them at another location and pay out of pocket on top of the $60 I paid for one solid Color set .. I manage a hair salon and I'm also a hairstylist so I work in the service industry .. I Would never ask for somebody unsatisfied with their service to return their haircut ,blowdry ,or hair-Color if they weren't satisfied with their service .. That is absolutely crazy.. I do not recommend this place at all .. The manger had unprofessional language.. Was on and off her phone.. Was rolling her eyes at other customers.. I definitely don't want to go back !!
