Instead of rushing us out, she was fully prepared to help us and any other last-minute customers who came through the door. * Going the Extra Mile: What impressed me most was her dedication to making things work for the customer. To help another client while I was standing there, she immediately reached out to a custom tailor that she works with (either on her team or via a close partnership) to arrange a fitting solution. That level of resourcefulness and care is rare! * Selection: Despite arriving late, we could see they have an excellent variety of clothing options to choose from. (Note for visitors: There is a Barber Salon located right next door, but the staff clarified that it is under separate ownership and not a part of Apna Andaaz/Apna Bazar). They have two sides, one is a boutique and the other is their salon. They have various services like eyebrow lifts, lash and eyebrow tint, and many more. I came in for my eyebrows to be threaded and my artist did an amazing job! She listened to my request of not thinning out my brows but just cleaning up and giving a slight arch. The best part was that the threading was only $10! This will be my go to spot for my quick touch ups!

They ask questions for understanding and proceed accordingly. My stylist had years of hair cutting experience and it showed. Unfortunately had a bad experience…read more First, I scheduled an appointment for 12:30 on a Sunday for a male cut, and received a call that the stylist I requested was no longer available and they could move the appointment two hours back with another stylist who I was told could achieve the same goal. (Vivionne- I apologize if the spelling is incorrect) I asked for a medium/long haircut and was very specific with what I wanted. I included 3 separate inspiration photos and was very very detailed before the cut began. I told the stylist NOT to touch the back since I liked how it was laying at the moment and I also liked how the sides were laying. Really I just needed volume taken out of the top and sides so it wasn't too heavy. I don't believe I was asking for too much and my requests were relayed back to me and I was told what I wanted could be achieved. She reassured me she would just take off weight and thin it out on the top/sides, and wouldn't touch the back. Well, she trimmed off literally everything I had in the back, and took the sides way too short. Additionally, the line up was WAY too rounded and uneven. The one thing I asked her not to touch/trim length off of, she took INCHES off. It was nothing like the pictures I showed and did not reflect the conversation that was had before at all. Extremely disappointing. It was so far off what I asked for it seemed like she forgot the conversation and inspiration and just did what she wanted. If you can't do the cut I asked for, just say that. The salon was completely empty, and for such a large space this should've been a sign. Everyone has been kind, helpful, and consistently delivers good results. Since Amanda left, I hadn't quite found someone who matched my personal preferences when it comes to shaping for my face and eyes. I was always satisfied, just not fully aligned with what I was looking for, if that makes sense. That changed once Nancy joined the team! Every time I've seen her, she's been incredibly consistent and always achieves exactly the look I want. She also goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable during the service, like placing a blanket on me and checking in throughout, which I really appreciate. I've also noticed much better retention with her work and very minimal fallout. I know all of the stylists use the same products and tools, so I'm not sure if it's her technique or the extra time and attention to detail she puts in, but whatever it is, it works. I'm extremely happy with my results, and she absolutely deserves the recognition! Ask for her if you're signing up.
