Accolades to Christina for how my skin looked and felt when I left the spa. Stress, poor eating habits, and poor attention to my face left my skin mottled, blemished, and dull. After a deep-cleaning and deplaning (a defoliation method that removes dead skin cells and hair), I looked and felt like a new person. She even massaged my arms, hands, and feet (what bliss!). I walked out looking younger and with GLOWING skin! Christina is a skin care EXPERT having researched, developed, and marketed her own skin care line when living in Miami. Her current skin products are sourced overseas. I purchased an amazing cleanser (Silky Milk Cleansing Balm) and a skin-soothing moisturizing cream with Vitamin C, which I love, and am returning to purchase a vitamin C serum she used on me, as my skin continues to look fantastic and I want it to stay this way. I have had friends asking me if I have had "work done." My skin looks so good. I will definitely be returning. What a gem in downtown Winter Garden. Anyway Tracy didn't want to irritate my lids any more than they were and so she took them off one by one and didn't use the product to remove. The facial was nice and my face felt moisturized and soft and reviewing my skin a few days later showed that my pores looked smaller and my skin tighter. She used an oil face wash with such a nice scent that I'd love to have that in an at home face mask. Regardless of how the actual facial turned out, what truly sold me was the face and neck massage. $75 for a fill that took 2.5 hours. My daughter and I spent in excess of five hours in the salon…read morefor two simple fills. Most of my cuticles are inflamed from the grinder, my thumb nails are 1/4" difference in length and different shapes and I left with nail polish all over my fingers. It looked like I painted them myself. My daughter and I have cuts on our fingers from the reckless grinding and heavy handed use of a heavy grit nail file. The same heavy grit file that cut my daughter was used on me and who knows how many other clients without being cleaned or sanitized. In addition to this my daughter requested to have her almond shaped nails shortened and the tech refused saying that "short almond shaped nails look like chicken feet" and proceeded to file them into coffin shape without my daughter's consent. Glue was dripped on her nail polish and left to dry. Cuticle clippers were used to pry the gunk off of the tech's glue bottle then placed in a drawer... unsanitized, ready for the next client. Be prepared to pay $75-$100 just for a fill. Do not buy into the hype. Also be aware of what you are being charged in advance and get it in writing. I specifically asked if the deposit would be deducted from the price charged and the tech assured me that it would but it was not. The tech had a chip to run our cards through her personal phone. Great...someone I do not know from Adam with my personal information. Also be aware that these spaces are rented to sub-contractors and there appears to be no oversight by the owner. Bottom line is this tech should NOT be doing nails. Side note ...someone may want to check into their sanitary disposal and sanitation processes. There are tips and nail dust all over the floor so much that they crunch under your feet. After over twenty years of having my nails done I can easily say that this was the worst nail experience of my life. This was the nail experience from hell. We will never be going back. I originally went in for a gel manicure but the nail tech available insisted I do SNS (which I had a bad experience with in the past but I thought I could give it another go). This should have been my first sign. I honestly have mixed reviews about this place. I'm extremely picky about my nails and how they are done. I go about every two to three weeks regularly. Overall, after the fact, my nails are now presentable but I wish I took a picture immediately after because this picture shown is AFTER I filed them straight and removed the excess SNS from the sides and underneath my nails. However, I will say that I am fairly disappointed in the fact that I basically paid $45 plus tip for a fancy polish change. There was no "manicure" which usually includes cuticle and nail shaping, lotion etc. I was still there for over an hour. My nail tech was not much for idle chatter and made for a slightly awkward appointment (She spoke fluent English). This place is kind of like the Jiffy Lube of nail salons. Will get the job done but at the end, you wonder if you got ripped off for the services you actually received and there are absolutely zero frills offered. I may give this place another chance at some point and will update this review then but for now, it looks like I'm going to my usual spot in Dr. Phillips.
