Mephisto have the most comfortable sandals and shoes. Since we discovered this brand at Nordstrom's, we have purchased almost all of our shoes strictly from this store. We are very lucky to have this store in AZ. I own many sandals and hubby just added another pair of work shoes. We are already eyeing couple new pairs. I've had great customer service everytime I've come here! I came in today because I wanted a new pair of sneakers to go on vacation. I called ahead to ask about stock since the store is pretty far from my house, and they were able to answer all of the questions I had and then when I came in they already had them ready for me to try on, so I was in and out super quick with the shoes I came for! I came in a few months ago as well and there was a super nice blonde girl that helped me pick out sandals but I don't remember her name. She was really friendly as well. I love Mephisto shoes! It is the brand I go to for walking comfort. For the first time, i actually place an online order from the Mephisto website for the size i think that will work. Unfortunately, it is slightly bigger and i need a half size smaller. I called the number on the card that comes with my shipment. To my surprise, a human actually picked up the phone. No endless phone tree, no recording, no terrible on hold music :). I talked to Ashley who is so helpful and she really took the "PAIN" out of shoe shopping online. I have worn Mephisto shoes for over a decade. My latest pair is the Allrounder Xanthos. It is sooooo comfortable, like walking on a cloud. My feet love them! I had a grade 3 ankle sprain on my right foot years ago that changed my arch and it gets sore if I don't wear a shoe with the right fit and cushioning. Mephistos are fantastic and have just the right support and firmness. What is amazing about my current Xanthos sneaker is that it is firm and supportive and feels much more substantial while walking and wearing it, but when you take it off and hold it in your hands it's very light. I don't know how they did it but you can just tell all their shoes exude quality. Few brands are as good, so do yourself a favor and get a couple pairs of these shoes! Rotate them to make them last longer. read more

I came in here hobbling from my plantar fasciitis. My arch was in such pain that I had to leave work in the middle of the day to get new shoes. Read about Mephisto on Yelp, and decided to give it a try. My feet have not hurt a bit since getting new work shoes from here. I got 2 pairs: a black pump, and gold strappy shoes. I am absolutely amazed at how much better my feet feel. I always "knew" how important getting the right shoes are, but now I have actually experienced the difference. Wow. Customer service like this is exemplary and hard to find in this day and age! In september, I bought walking shoes for a trip to Europe. Aaron was an exceptional salesman and worked with me, and my orthotics, to find the right type of shoe. Unfortunately I got blisters and had trouble wearing them through the rest of the trip. Upon return home I spoke with Aaron and he graciously offered to take them back and gave me a store credit. I was not expecting anything but just wanted to let him know I was not as happy after the purchase. He has made me very happy now and a customer for life. My wife and I were visiting the Phoenix area from San Francisco. I decided I needed a new pair of shoes, and Mephisto is the only brand I wear, so was happy to find this wonderful little store in Scottsdale. Aaron couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgable, and I went away with my new shoes. Of course, my wife had to have two new pairs, too. It developed that even though the particular shoes I picked out felt great in the store, and still felt good walking around the house we were staying in, when I finally wore them outside (the first test was a half day at the Musical Instrument Museum-- great place!) my left foot was killing me. I had never had that happen before with Mephistos, so I figured the shoes would adjust to my feet. Not so. After I got home, I realized things weren't getting better, and the shoes were really unwearable. I got ahold of Aaron, and he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
