I didn't even bother getting quotes from anybody else because of how reasonable they were and I appreciate their prompt service. Owner came out March 22, 2026., The door opened up for about 4 days with his 5 minute repair and charged me $65.00. I called him back out 3 other times for the same reason, as the eyes on the door would not allow the door to open or close correctly. The last time owner came out he stated he could not fix any longer, so I requested my money back. He basically stated just pull up the eyes, and the door should work. (uh). that lasted about a day or 2. I called him the 3rd time and i asked for the owner because the door would not close correctly because of the eyes on the door were not correct. The person who answered the phone stated he was the Owner, and he hung up the phone.., (WOW). I called Steel Valley Garage door 330-459-6522 where I found them on Facebook, and they came right out, ASAP., adjusted and moved the eyes on the doors and put oil in the door and corrected the problem and only charged $59.00.

He had to come back twice because we ended up having to replace part of my garage door. Six months later, I called again because the door was stuck half open and a different tech arrived. He seemed angry and stressed out from the moment he exited his truck and interrupted me dismissively when I tried to ask a question. As I tried to follow his instructions, he got progressively more frustrated and then accused me of arguing with him, said "this isn't going to work out" and drove off. It was surreal.

I called to set an appointment for the repair who ever answered the phone was hard to understand, Rude then was called back by another person that called back was even ruder and harder to understand. Was told there was $45.00 charge to come out. Ok I use to do work on my own years ago and did charge $10.00 service charges to estimate the job to cover gas but I would deduct that off the bill if they used me for the job. The charge of $45.00 to come out and it is not take it off the bill if you go with them, but times has changed. The technician that came to the house was very nice and easy to understand, now for the reason I gave them a low score on yelp and if we had a rating on next door they would receive a - . The technician explained what he would be doing, which I knew what had to be done. I danged fell out of my wheel chair when he gave me a price of $ 1,365.72. Now mind you this was not a door replacement it was the two tension springs. Two proper tension springs are $92.28 that is retail price for made in the USA. You know the company that he works for does not pay that. The job should take anywhere from 2 to 3 hour based on my past experiences. I have the proper tools for job and if I could climb a ladder I would have done it myself, I am stuck in wheel chair so climbing a ladder is out. I thanked him for his time and painfully paid the $45.00 and sent him on his way. So for those keeping score that is $ 1,365.72 for labor plus the service $ 45.00 for a total of $1,410.72 dived that by, and I am giving it based on 5 hours that is $282.144 an hour. There is no wage that I know of in the trade work that would pay that much. I don't think welders that work up top on skyscrapers get that. I realize that there is over head such as rent and utilities but come on really. I will say the technician did say he could call and see if he could do it cheaper but at that point I did not feel comfortable using them. I called three other local door repairs explained what was wrong and they gave me estimates that were ¼ of the price the three had a difference of $20.00 between them from $450.00 to $ 470.00 for the job. I am not saying don't use them all I am saying is there are other options and if you willing to pay a fee for someone just to come out and look for $45.00 go for it. I went with Geauga Door Sales & Services Inc and wound up paying less than what was quoted by a few dollars. If you have a situation with your garage door this is the company to go with. They are honest, respectful, professional there service was more than beyond expectation. They do more than go the extra mile; I cannot praise this company enough. The two technicians Nick & Kyle were not only professional and personable, they told me what was needed and repaired only the parts that needed to be repaired. They did not add anything else to drive up the price or try to sell me anything I did not need. From the initial phone call to the arrival to taking time to move thing from my cluttered garage so they could access the area of the garage door that need repair. In this day and age that costumer service is nonexistent this company has shown that is not gone they obviously employee individuals that have work ethics. Yes I said work ethics now that is as rare today as The White Peacock again I cannot recommend this company enough. Thank you Geauga Door Sales & Services Inc you are the best If I could you would receive a +

It began to literally spring random holes within the first several weeks and then these weird micro cracks and weird look especially when wet. Then after the first very first winter it began to literally crumble. You can just sweep away bits of the driveway. He never responded to any phone calls or emails. Not to mention left the worst mess of concrete splashed onto my garage eves and the sides of my house. Plus, when he was restaining my cement patio also stained the side of my garage with it. The best part was that a fight nearly broke out on the pour day over not enough water in the truck. Which I have come to find out that is why my driveway looks like shit. The mixture was too dry which caused it to dry too quickly and be too brittle. I don't understand why you would continue to pour knowing the mixture was bad. Just a terrible person and company. I spent way too much money to be so disappointed. Also, they were supposed to remove old gate posts during the process because a new one was going in but they decided they couldn't get one of them out so they just re cemented it in with the new driveway. So then when the fence company came out they had to cut into my brand new driveway to remove the post. To place a new, larger post. Not their fault. Should have been removed with the driveway. Please do not hire Michael Saunders. This driveway was done in June 2023. Only 2.5 years old and I was meticulous about the care of it since I saved for a long time to replace my old one.
