We've stayed in Mentone twice now. Total of 13 days. I believe I have been here 6 times now. They are the closest most convenient place for any type of specialty food near Mentone. Excellent selection to tide you over when you need some foods. They have almost anything you could need in a pinch. Everyone is always nice and I really dig the "upscale small town feel" you get here. Is that a thing? If it's isn't, I just made it up and I want full credit. Pizzas are tasty. They have beer. They have gas. They have souvenirs. It's a good place man. '24 - 2/100

    Philly Cheesesteak pizza

We stopped here to have lunch on our way to Desoto Falls (located 8 minutes away). We had the pepperoni pizza and the Philly cheesesteak pizza (pictured). The kids devoured theirs and all of us adults enjoyed ours tremendously. A friend had a sandwich and said it was delicious as well. I've had their salads on a previous trip and they are large and delicious. Big enough to split if your going to have it with leftover pizza. In addition to good food they have amazing customer service and an adorable shop. They also have a clean, single person bathroom which is important when traveling with small kids. Highly recommend if your in the area.

Cutest little convenience store -slash- deli -slash- gift shop. Grab food on your way to a hike or sit and have a hot meal. Nice souvenirs of the area or local crafts! Pick up some snacks and drinks too!

Cute little restaurant with a gift shop, next to a gas station. The shop is open until 6 pm every day, but the kitchen closes at 2 or 3 pm, depending on the day. Pizza is available anytime the shop is open, even if the kitchen is closed. They have a small bar there with a few types of wine and a selection of local and national beers. We had the pizza and it was good. One pizza was enough for 2 people.

Tuscan chicken sandwich and pasta salad

Cutest little market with local goods and groceries and a wonderful cafe. The Tuscan chicken sandwich was amazing. They have pre packed salads and sandwiches at the checkout as well if you just need something to go. Will definitely be returning!

The only place in town that serves alcohol? Mentone Market. Great breakfast? Mentone Market. An awesome, no-thrills-but great quality lunch and dinner menu? You guessed it. When deciding where to go grab food in Mentone, it's an easy choice for us because 1) the service is friendly and pretty quick 2) we like beers (or wine) with our meals and 3) their market is great to pick up anything you may have forgotten (again, including beer and wine). Looking for Mentone souvenirs? There are a couple other places in town with a shirt or two but Mentone Market's options are much nicer. They have nice T-shirt's, cups, mugs and hats to take your mountain memories with you when you leave this lovely little mountain town.

After all of the rave reviews, I was excited to visit this establishment. Upon waking in the door I actually had to greet 2 two ladies behind the counter. They barely acknowledged me in an "oh so snotty way" I almost walked out but really wanted to give it a chance. As I'm walking around the store these two ladies (mother and daughter I'm guessing) were having a conversation about a male in the family having issues. NONE OF MY BUSINESS but somehow due to your loud conversation I couldn't hear myself think. Very unprofessional. NEVER ONCE asked me if I needed any help, how my day was, where I was from, couldn't even crack a smile. The younger gal looked annoyed to be there. Really made me rethink my decision to stay and shop. I'm all about supporting local businesses and small vendors. The store does have some overly priced cute items. The other reason I came was to buy lunch items for a picnic at Desoto Falls. I simply bought a Turkey wrap, a pasta salad, and pickled okra. The cheese on the wrap was hard, and the tomato was mushy. The pasta had absolutely NO taste at all. It was like eating pasta in vegetable oil w/ no seasonings. The pickled okra isn't theirs but sold by Hornsby Farms. IT WAS AWEFUL!!! Taste like pure cloves and I like cloves but yuck! Not in okra. What a total disappointment. I will never be back and wouldn't recommend. The food I can deal with but the attitudes of these 2 ladies killed the whole experience. Folks you can spend your money at the State Parks where you're welcomed with open arms, warms smiles, and we'll wishes.

Baked potato with pulled pork. Yum!!!

While grocery…read morestores are not normally on my itinerary on road trips, I made the pit stop into this Ingles for a potty break due to the neighboring gas station not having facilities available...and since I was already there, I did a bit of browsing and shopping. The store, like most Ingles, is a bit dated and worn. The brand is not known for shiny new and updates stores, so this location is definitely "classic". Since I was traveling, I stayed in the interior aisles and picked up a few snacks and staples that I needed, saved me a trip closer to home. I will say that Ingles is a bit pricey compared to other grocery stores, surprisingly so on majority of the items I scoped, fresh food and all. Check out was okay. The cashier was nice, but not "friendly" or engaging. I get it is a transaction, and it definitely felt just as such. Overall, I get the need and dependence on this location for the local community. Good spot for groceries, just a bit high on prices and service could use some tweaks.

My fiancé and I recently moved to Trenton so he could attend the Lineman school here. Since moving, we've been adjusting to living on one income and it's been financially challenging due to the amount of time it took me to find a job. When we got to the register, we realized we were $1.23 short. It may not seem like much, but in that moment it felt incredibly heavy. As we were trying to decide what to put back, our cashier Jacob quietly walked around the register and paid the difference himself without hesitation. He didn't make a big scene or make us feel embarrassed -- he simply chose kindness. That small act meant more to us than he probably realizes. After months of stress and uncertainty, the Lord really reminded us that there are still genuinely good people in this world. Jacob, thank you for your compassion and generosity. You made a difference for us that night. Ingles is lucky to have someone like you on their team -- he absolutely deserves recognition and a raise!

She said that I need to come back another day because I have to set up an appointment to go over wedding cakes with her. Fast forward I drove out there, and for what? A 15 minute meeting that could have been done over the phone with an online brochure!!!!!!! It felt like a complete waste of my time, and gas. At first I understood where she was coming from but she was not at all understanding for my point of view.
