They could definitely improve on the way they treat and accommodate customers. My wedding is in Rome but I'm not local at all and the bakery manager demanded I come in person for a cake meeting. When I told her it was for my wedding she wasn't excited or happy she didn't even smile at me. I definitely did not feel welcome I just felt like some sort of unwelcome task. She said that I need to come back another day because I have to set up an appointment to go over wedding cakes with her. Due to me not being local I asked if we could do it over the phone, or if I could go to my local Publix and then have them fax the info over or if there was anything - anything - I could do to save a 2 hour drive(4 hours there & back) She was adamant I needed to come in person. Fast forward I drove out there, and for what? A 15 minute meeting that could have been done over the phone with an online brochure!!!!!!! It felt like a complete waste of my time, and gas. At first I understood where she was coming from but she was not at all understanding for my point of view. Regardless I decided to try and be positive and I took the estimate home for my finance to look over and we decided to move forward because I've already put so much time and effort into this...and here I am unable to pay for it online. They're usually out of the sale item. It's hard to find things in stock in general. The meat department typically runs out of stuff during prime hours asking the butcher for something or more hamburger meat is like pulling teeth. The employees couldn't help me find horseradish for a cocktail sauce, and there were limited groceries and overpriced items. There was no service, just lazy people hanging around. Now, The Publix in Mapleton, GA, is the best Publix of them all. I wish we had a Wegman's grocery store in Boynton Beach, FL. Ps. Kroegers is no better. read more

I'm the only person in line at the seafood counter and two employees are finishing a conversation. One turns to me and says "what?" This place is awful and my multiple week visits are now down to only if I must, will I go. I've reported multiple instances to management and accepted one credit. I don't want your credit I want to feel valued and welcome as a customer. "WHAt?" I think this is it. Someone mentioned Kroger is no better, I never expected better from them, Publix, I do! I am super upset with Publix right now! I did take a picture while there and said something. Lady was nice. She said that they could fix but it wouldn't be until late an everyone is actually getting ready to leave ( at 12:45 in the afternoon?) an they had so many orders. So I felt like I shoouldve said. Cashiers need to step up the customer service and drop the bad attitude. The guy who was bagging left so I started bagging my large order. Cashier watched me do this then turned and started to check out the person behind me instead of finishing up with me. No thank you or courtesy. We work hard for our money and it doesn't go as far as it used to. I shop at Publix for the customer service I do not get at Walmart. Now I have no reason to come back. I can get bad service and lower prices elsewhere. read more

waited 30 minutes in line to get antibiotics for my screaming sick child. once it was my turn they didn't have the prescription that was sent in 4 hours earlier. (I waited to make a trip into town to pick it up specifically to give them time). They wouldn't fill the Rx for me. The tech and pharmacist wouldn't even hear that I gave them 4 hours before coming, then thirty minutes of waiting in line, standing in front of them. Good customer service would have said.... Okay, it's a quick kid antibiotic (not even something needing counting- I can process that real quick). I knew the previous pharmacist and some of the techs there- now I can understand why she left as well as so many others. Lots of turnover. HORRIBLE management. no more Publix pharmacy for us. The store employees for the grocery store are very kind and helpful. But The cost is so much more than anywhere else. The store continues to go downhill. Long lines, but instead of opening up more checkout aisles they seem focused on trying to bring your groceries out to your car for you. Half the produce I buy is wilted. Now they can't hand out change and dollar bills for their water RODI machines etc.. every city in the Southeast has a Publix versus Kroger battle going on, in this city I'd rather go to the dollar store then our Publix. read more

Typically this Pubix provides a great shopping experience. However the last time there nobody was available to bag. I proceeded to bag my entire 200+$ grocery order. I did not mind so much until the cashier stood and watched as he finished ringing the order. I had to hand him a bag so he could finish the last bit while I paid. Store manager is obnoxious. This location has an extremely weird photography policy where they harass customers if they appear to be taking a casual picture with their cell phone. I would not return to this store until something is corrected within their administration. The store manager needs more training to get up to par with the normal Publix company policy, the Publix guarantee, "We will never knowingly disappoint you..." At this location, shopping is most definitely not a pleasure. read more

I lost my car keys somewhere in the store while shopping and was at the store for 2 hours looking for them keep in mind I have a 21 month old and 8 month old with me. I asked every employee I saw if anyone had turned in any keys and not one time did any of them offer any kind of assistance or even ask for ANY info in case they were turned in later or even what type of keys they were. Every single one just said "nope no keys today" and went on about their business. I know it was my fault for losing them but it would have been nice to feel as if anyone working there had a smidge of compassion. read more

They can be a tab pricey on some things, but this has to be one of the most friendly and helpful store I've been to in YEARS.

I had a big party last weekend, and Publix bakery did all of the sweets. I had a big cake, a decadent tray, and a tart tray. They were all so incredibly good, and the cake was gorgeous! Greyson, the bakery manager, was very attentive and got me exactly what I wanted. He even remembered my name when I went back today to thank them. It was a wonderful experience, and I will forever be getting any cakes from there. I would give them 100 stars if I could! I also ordered a floral bouquet, and it was gorgeous, you could tell that they coordinated the colors for me. Overall a great experience! read more

I do agree with Miana H. about the prices to a point. Shopping at Wal-Mart is indeed cheaper but the prices at Publix are comparable to Kroger and most grocery stores. But, there is no denying that the atmosphere and customer service at Publix is far and beyond anything that Wal-Mart could ever hope to offer. The staff has been a pleasure to deal with and I have not met an employee who was not willing to help me with anything I needed. Every time I check out, the person who bags the groceries asks if I want them to take my groceries to my vehicle for me although I am completely capable so I always say no as other customers need this assistance much more than me. I have also dealt with the upper management and they have gone out of their way to help with any specific needs which unlike Wal-Mart, makes you feel like a person and not a number. I'm pretty certain Publix wants you to return so they treat you like they would want to be treated. Four stars and that's being completely honest. Minus one because of the prices which is a shame but again, honest. read more

I took my class here on a field trip. The employees were more than accommodating. Someone from each section explained his or her job with genuine enthusiasm. They answered questions patiently and explained things on the child's level of understanding. They let us see how people must work together to make a grocery store run smoothly.
