We ran into the store (with our bathing suits on but we were wearing shorts over our bottoms) it was very obvious we were just tubing and all the customers were asking if we got caught in the rain or if we had a good time (light and fun conversations through out the store) until we got to the back counter and clear as day the lady behind says to her coworker "wow they could've at least put on shirts" IF there had been a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" sign we wouldn't have entered but we didn't see one and thought it would've been fine. Clearly it was not and the "ladies" in the back were not very polite or friendly. We took the drive to Merciers Orchard the next day and the service is 100% more pleasant.

The first thing my husband did was ask about the peaches. Of course that's the reason he went there. My search was for the peach preserves like my great grandmother made. I didn't stop there, I saw many condiments, salad dressings, old fashion candies. They also have a dessert eatery inside. Customer service was very insightful. Because we didn't go for the activities or petting of the animals, I can't write much about that. Overall, on my next visit I will try the famous MiMi's pound cake which they rave about. Also, I want the blueberry donuts which they only have on the weekends. Doggonit, I went to early in the middle of the week. My husband is really enjoying his peaches. A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

Too much for the ol' suitcases to handle, so I placed a sizable order online when I returned home. ALL of the products that we ordered are WONDERFUL; from jarred peaches to peach jam to fried peanuts (salted and the garlic, too) to okra to peach cider,...one sip and I went to Peach Heaven. I told my husband that we cannot travel 3,000 miles every time that we want to experience this, but we just found a NEW (regular) online vendor!! Not to our surprise, we found a gem! They sell a plethora of all naturally grown products (no preservatives) just to name a few: fresh pecans, nuts, an assortment of jams/spreads/butters, ciders, fresh honey and much more! They even have their pecans cooking in their crock pots nice and hot with two different flavors. They offer samples to settle your buyer uncertainties :-). They also sell souvenirs, which was a plus for us being that i was pretty bummed we didn't get the chance to purchase one before we left the city. The owner was extremely kind, and sweet! He answered any questions I had and began to engage in conversation with my boyfriend about the history of the town. I couldn't say enough good things about this shop, but when I asked him if he knew what yelp was he didn't have the slightest clue, so you know we had to put the shop on the map!!! Check them out, you won't regret it!! The chocolate covered pecans are amaaaaazing. And the cider is 10/10. They're located right next to the Sunoco gas station, right off the 411 highway exit.
