Entrance/indoor downstairs and mezzanine level seating

UM I could hang out here alll day. In fact, I'm mad i didn't bring my laptop. The ladies out front are so delightful and very knowledgeable about their ciders. Gave me some GREAT recommendations! Indoor mezzanine level seating, outdoor patio where there's games, a giant chair for photos, plenty of seats and tables for when they have live music, an indoor area with another bar, TVs and a fire place AND another outdoor upstairs area with plenty of seating options. Came on a gorgeous sunny but fringed Tuesday mid day on my way back from the falls and it did not disappointed. Had a flight consisting of the Ellijay apple (crisp the way I like it), Ol Red (has a cherry taste. I liked it and m I don't normally like cherry!), the Imperial (my favorite and also 9%), and one I thought i would love because it was fermented in a whiskey barrel, the reserve at 9.5%, but it was a little too dry, bitter with no real smoky honey or Apple taste it was just bitter. Definitely my least favorite. but that's just a few that I tried. There were plenty more that I wish I could've sat here and tried them all, but I encourage you to come and try as many as possible. I did not check out the bakery or U-pick Um option but I honestly looove this spot. Thank you my fellow Yelpers for the recommendation! If it's not wine or whiskey, cider is my next jam and this was it!

Just had a great time visiting this lovely orchard recently. We purchased a variety of their apples and loved them all. The fried pies were insanely good. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Their frozen apple cider is beyond delicious. Hubby got some of their hot sauces too and we ran across the road to get some hard cider to go!

This place has a lot of potential to be really great, but has a way to go. Seeing the animals was fun for the kids. The market had a decent selection of baked goods, preserves and vegetables. We picked up some pumpkins. The workers were friendly. Nice views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. I think my disappointment is more with the apple picking. It's the tail end of the season so there wasn't much to pick, for starters. And to get to the places to pick, you wait for a tractor to give you a lift or you take a hike. Signage was terrible. Even the online map of the farm was poor. It was very crowded and pricey for what we got. I don't think I'll be back.

A great place to spend a fall afternoon! My partner and I didn't pick any apples, but we did have an amazing time trying their cider options! I loved picking out a flight to taste a little bit of a few options, and the blackberry one was my personal winner. Their pours and cans were reasonably priced, so we bought a few to-go. Even though the place was busy the staff made sure to keep lines moving, and everything was clean. The outside seating gave you a little more room to spread out.

My friend and I were out in the area and tried this place out. They have plenty of parking and they have food trucks in case you want some food. They have set flights you pick from for your tasting. I wish you could mix and match. The cider was good. You can buy most of them in a growler I wish more came in cans. Overall good cider and location.

This apple orchard pales in size to its more famous sister down the road, Mercier Orchards but I found its wares more delicious and appealing. Their hard cider is less sweet and the sweet potato and pecan hand pies were delicious. I also bought a glass jar of cider and peach jalapeño jelly that was delectable. Use your debit card or bring cash to avoid paying credit card fees.

Can't wait to come back next year! I am currently coring my apples for pie. My fav is the apple cider peach Slushie. If you have time get some live music and cider across the street. We also took home another 6 pack of cider so we can have some all fall. A fun weekend outing!

BJ Reece Orchards is pretty much as good as it gets for Apple farms. Whether you choose to pick your own apples with the U-Pick option or go to simply go to their store and buy freshly picked apples and other delicious apple treats, BJ Reece is a solid option when visiting Ellijay. The service is friendly in the store and the atmosphere feels like a busy but well run Apple farm where you can get all kinds of different types of apples. Their apple pies are wonderful and you get a small discount if you buy 6 or more. As for our favorite apple cider, we've tried different flavors such as strawberry cider, or peach cider but we find the best is the original apple cider. Overall, BJ Reece gets a solid 5 and a big thank you for being here.

Incredible ciders and Chrissy was extremely friendly and helpful. Many ciders to choose from. This place is a great location to hangout. Plan on spending of time here. Game areas and lots of different areas to relax

We decided to come here to do some apple picking because I've never done that. I heard Crimson Crisp was delicious, so I decided to pick those! It was packed today!! So I couldn't really enjoy much besides the apple picking. There's tons and tons of acreage of different types of apples. I will say, as fun as dressing up for fall to take some photos sounds, you really do get a workout in if you go down further to where the crimson crisp apples were. So I would advise dressing appropriately. Almost as if you're going to hike. I wish I could have gone in the market! I opened the door and it was packed to the point that people could barely move so I said no thanks. It was nice but a bit overwhelming.

Absolutely love B.J. Reece's orchard and farm stand. The entire family has fun here. Picking apples in the orchard, with different fun activities (corn bath, apple cannon, petting zoo to name a few), the farm stand has apples for those that don't want to pick themselves, and produce products from jams to pickled veggies, and everything in between. Apple pies, fritters, donuts, ciders, the works! We come every year from coastal Georgia

Delicious pies strawberry and cream pie is phenomenal! Tastes like a gourmet strawberry toaster strudel. Cider tastes like the best apple sauce you can remember from your youth.

Grease soaked through the box of fried apple pies. It's all in the bag as well.

My family & I make it a thing to attempt to visit each orchard in north Georgia. This orchard holds a special spot because they are dog friendly. We love bringing our dogs here for a walk in the orchard. We buy a bag for apply picking but the true joy is seeing our dogs have fun exploring nature with us. When it comes to the bakery section of the orchard there are good & bad things. First the good: they are super organized. Much like Chick-fil-A they had people taking orders while you waited in line so that you took your "order number" and picked up your food when you paid. It went so much faster. Secondly, they have an open kitchen so you can actually see them cook and bake the food. Now for the not so good: the fried apple pie was almost inedible. I wish I had seen them unwrapped before I bought 6. They were so greasy and soggy crust. The apple filling almost tasted like fermented apples or alcoholic in a way. The crust was very salty, crumbly, and tasted like maybe it was fried in grease that was used for meat. I'm wondering if the oil was too cold or the pot was overcrowded during cooking. The 5 apple fritters weren't fully cooked and didn't have apples in them. Just a couple of shreds that might have been apple? That being said, the apples themselves, the atmosphere and the fact that they are dog friendly will keep us coming back. We will just skip the bakery and stick to the fruit and vegetables.

Best hand pies in the area. We tried several places and none of them were close to the hand pies at BJ Reece's.

Our kids were more interested in picking and the wagon ride (which is included in the $5) so that worked out.

Cue the newly opened Deep Roots with it's small town feel, hand-drawn maps and plenitude of apples. To pick, I believe it was $4 per person and if you fill your basket (a very large basket) then that was about $18. You could also just straight up buy apples if you don't feel like picking. We went the first week of October and yet, 3 weeks later, we are still eating apples. That is how many apples that is! The best apples from our basket had to be either the Jonagolds or the Golden Delicious. We also enjoyed the apple butter, the decor and, of course, the hospitality. If you're looking for a less commercialized apple picking experience, you've found it here in this cute little cider house. Room for Improvement: I think it would be a good idea to add a few markers up and down the apple tree rows so that you don't lose track of what's what and have to walk back down the hill to the front of the orchard. For the apple cider donuts, I was expecting something more cake-like. Would've also liked to see mulled cider for purchase rather than the plain cider that we bought.

Any-who- we made a reservation for a picnic (must be planned 2 days in advance, but they accommodated 1 day for us), and it was a HIGHLIGHT of our little getaway. First, the location is absolutely beautiful with their little shop full of natural remedies, I could spend all day admiring all the products they make from scratch. Second, the team there was SO incredibly sweet and accommodating, and just good-hearted folks. You can tell they take so much pride in what they do. Third, the food they prepared for us was DELICIOUS. All made with locally sourced ingredients and just prepared with love, attention, and care. Everything came in the cutest picnic basket. We pre-ordered the chicken salad sandwiches, cheese & meat board and some scones. Everything was absolutely delightful. Probably the best chicken salad, lemonade, and blueberry scone I've ever had in my life. Honest to god. simple but just done well! It was rainy so they let us set up on the little raised wood platform and it worked out great. We enjoyed the sounds of nature and took a little nap after. They even sent me home with a bag of vegetables for free because they didn't think they'd be put to use before going bad. I made homemade pickles out of the cucumbers they gave me, so good! If you are in town and looking for things to do, you must set up a picnic. They just started them and are seriously a hidden gem. Wish them all the success.

Jams, stick candies and everything else is just amazing - let me particularly recommend the sugar-free fig preserve. They have good reason to have perfected this - one of the family had type 2 diabetes and lost his legs after going into cardiac arrest. The sweet young man shared his story when he learned I was also a diabetic, as a cautionary tale. Their peaches were lovely, nectarines slightly less so, but nothing was bad. Their white potatoes were extraordinary. Apparently they purchased these - I called after I cooked some to find out the type, they were deliciously tender, just earthy and sweet enough to eclipse the prime ribeye steaks I cooked as the main. Boiled, then halved and baked with olive oil and salt, they were so good. Everyone exclaimed over them. I loved this place and look forward to visiting the next time I'm in that area.
