Lemon sq, cream cheese brownie, pecan sq.
    Adrian J.

Lame. Walmart makes better baked goods. Tried the cream cheese brownies, ok. Got a strawberry cupcake, can't taste any strawberry flavoring. Got a Lemon square, flat out sucked. More crust than lemon, more salty taste than anything else. Got a pecan square, also sucked. Go to Walmart, or maybe get a sandwich.

This used to be called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse House, but is now Mountain Town Coffee at Hemlock Bazaar (hopefully Yelp will accept my edits), and it has a great vibe. There's a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don't know how else to describe it. It's old school and nostalgic but strange. On the other side of the wall there's an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.

My rating is for delivered by a client review to our office. Dude brought them as a thanks or…read moresomething & the receptionist took them to the breakroom. Unfortunately I have no idea the names of the flavors, but they were WARM & BEAUTIFUL!! Most of us cut pcs off b/c none of us need a whole one, lol. Some folks said they didn't love the texture- compared them to Duncan Donuts, but I can tell you they were really only comparable to 1 Duncan donut, but for the life of me I have NO idea what it's called. The one I tried wasn't cake, nor was it melt-soft like Krispy. It has a sort of fried chew that, to me, is just what I love! Not sweet either. A nice balance of fried, chew, sweet & the glaze was a nice flavor. I will crave this, which is why I looked them up right away & snapped pics to remind me where to go. I also think it's smart to put the individual donuts on the liners so glazes don't mess up the box. Very pretty!! Try them out-

Guys, $5 for a splash of milk is a bit, um, excessive imo . They said the kids milk went away with a new menu, maybe you guys just forgot to put it back on. Blooms is our favorite donut shop no matter how much the milk costs, though! Everyone should try them.

However what we did purchase was very good. Simple donuts but very tasty. Our kids said the gal who served them was very nice and helpful. I thought the don't box was the cutest. The caked strawberry donut tasted very artificial to my daughter so she chose not eat it. Although to her husband, he enjoyed it. Lol They really thought the plain long John with custard was delish or was it the Boston Crème. Either way, they enjoyed them both. Definitely need to return when the selection is larger. Glad it's not took far from our house and that it has the simple delicious donuts that does not cost an arm and a leg. Unfortunately I don't know what the interior of the business looks like nor the parking lot as I didn't accompany my kids.

I love that they inject the filling right after you order, so the donut stays nice and soft without getting soggy. They also serve coffee and have about five tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your treat. Just a heads up that prices vary depending on the size of the donut you pick, but it's well worth it. My only suggestion would be to expand the flavor variety and quantity a bit since they are so popular with the locals. Overall, it's a fantastic spot that I highly recommend checking out!
