Finally, a trip to see Atlanta, GA! Part of our plan, however, was to also see the outskirts of the city. (How can I leave GA without buying some peaches??) We were recommended to Prewetts, by a lady who works in Dalton where we had lunch..."Thank You"!! It was an excellent couple that we interacted with at Prewetts and WHAT a great selection! Too much for the ol' suitcases to handle, so I placed a sizable order online when I returned home. ALL of the products that we ordered are WONDERFUL; from jarred peaches to peach jam to fried peanuts (salted and the garlic, too) to okra to peach cider,...one sip and I went to Peach Heaven. I told my husband that we cannot travel 3,000 miles every time that we want to experience this, but we just found a NEW (regular) online vendor!! I should have followed my initial instinct and left. No one put 'a gun to my head' to buy peaches but I was in a bind. A good friend requested Georgia peaches on our travel route. I was not expecting to pay $27.00 for a dozen peaches. More importantly, the peaches were put in a brown paper and plastic bags where all the peaches were rotten within 24 hrs. I would not recommend this fruit stand based on inflated prices and lack of professional detail to ensure peaches remain fresh - not rot. read more

Let start with the price Gouge they are doing there is just ridiculous I thought price gouging was illegal but it's not I guess I'll never stop here when I come home so we were in line behind two white woman the cashier checked all they peaches they brought to make sure they would not spoil soon when we got to the front not one peach was checked but time I made it back to Ohio my peaches was just as rotten as the service was after 78$ bucks I was pissed but now I know not to go back there and just get the pecans out of my family's yards when they harvest read more

My wife wanted some peaches from Georgia to take back to Indiana. We were thrilled to find this stand. Nice people and great peaches.

Overpriced as hell, but effective. I think at this particular location, they sort of put an exclamation point on the fact that they are one of the last places to get peaches and cashews and pecans right off of the interstate before you head into Tennessee. They also have fireworks, trinkets, shot glasses, refrigerator magnets etc etc. It is a pretty standard tourist trap, but we did grab some very ripe and delicious peaches. Don't sleep on the Cajun deep fried peanuts either! read more

I have been getting peaches from this location for the last 9 years. Fred has always had the best peaches. Not even once I picked bad batch. He is selective on his peach supplier. I have not purchased anything else from this store. It's worth to stop by and get peaches. read more

There was a lovely gentleman that encouraged us to taste quail eggs, fruit butters, and pickles. He was super sweet and knowledgeable about all of the produce they had. Can't recommend this place more! Great find! read more

So we were in Georgia and all we wanted was PEACHES! We saw the huge PEACHES and FIREWORKS sign on the highway and decided to take a chance. We actually found fresh Georgia Peaches. They were a little pricey but totally worth it. The nice man also gave us samples of all of the Pecan goodies so we bought three bags. We also pet his cute dog. Such a nice place. :-) read more

I have family that lives in Central Georgia and we live in Kentucky. Every trip I I make home I stop by the fruit stand. They have some of the best jams and preserves (my family's favorite is BEAR JAM it's a delicious mix of blackberry elderberry apple and raspberry you should try it). I've always been greeted with a friendly smile and a sample. Today's sample was praline pecans and while and chocolate coated pecan. I split my sample with my husband, he's lucky I was in a giving mood even if I hadn't been there was a sample waiting for him as well. Today I bought pralines, chocolate coated pecans, divinity, pecan rolls, my bear jam, and fresh peaches. They had peaches fresh tomatoes and huge onions bigger than the ones you get at that Australian themed restaurant you know the one I'm talking about. You can pick up other things there like souvenirs, T-shirts, fireworks, and even hand made soap. Really worth a stop. read more
