This QT is a convenient stop when I am on the road to and from Nashville from Atlanta. Its either one of my last stops or first, depending on the direction I am traveling. Service is hit and miss here. I have hit this location to and from on one trip and had completely different experiences. Never terrible, just noticeable. Overall, I enjoy QT's. We do not have many in the Nashville area, so I try to make it point to swing by when I am back in the Atlanta area.

Usually, at least for me, my decision upon which brand to use depends solely upon what lays inside the convenience store of that gas station. When in northern Georgia, I find myself seeking out QT gas stations when my car is telling me that it is time to fill up. The reason is, as stated before, what lays beyond the doors to the store within. Not only are there surprisingly good hot dogs and toppings on rollers, but a food counter, a long row of coffee, iced tea, and soda selections, as well as the usual gas station offerings. Service is also obviously a corporate focus, you are created upon entry and the crew works diligently to meet the customer's needs, certainly a challenge. I recommend finding one if you are in Georgia. I am confident that you will seek them out time and time again when in their area.

This being said it's not large grocery store or Box grocery store, so it doesn't have all of that convenience behind it which means the prices are a little bit higher than you would expect but that's because it's a unincorporated grocery store and if you don't understand what unincorporated means is it means it is not a corporately owned or operated store it is owned by a family and if you like shopping Family owned and are local to the Shannon area then this is the store for you. Yellow onions were on sale according to the label where they were placed . I looked through the bags to make sure I got one with a label, since most were missing. I even had my wife look to be sure everything was correct because of the prior problems with sale items and my eyesight is not as good as it once was. We made our way to the register and like so many sale items over the past, the item rang up for more than the price on the shelf. When we said the price is wrong, the cashier informed us it was Food Lion onions on sale and we could go look for ourselves. The cashier was rude and should have called a manager. The cashier then said we were yelling at her, which we were not, and then told us to leave. I pitched the bags of groceries on the counter. I asked for her name, which she would not provide and we left. We called the manager on duty (Kieth). Kieth never asked for our name or phone number but did keep saying he wanted to make it right. I informed Kieth I didn't want a gift card, I just wanted the pricing corrected. If Food Lion wanted to make it right, the correct price would be charged at the register. The price difference of the onions was less than a dollar. Yes I could have paid that, however it is a continual problem. Think how much money Food Lion profits if each customer is overcharged 1$ per transaction. Is what they do bait and switch? Maybe it's an honest mistake or is it that Food Lion just don't care. My wife and I don't struggle as some when grocery shopping, so I like to look out for customers that do struggle paying. Just remember if you do shop at Food Lion, be sure to check the receipt. Especially when an item is on sale. You may not be getting the deal you think you are.
