Very discriminating. Won't hire based on looks even though we've worked before. Didn't even give me a chance for an interview.

OMG! I had heard about Buccees but could not fathom what I just visited. My first time visiting a…read moreBuccees ever! My friend gave me an orientation of the place. I checked out the desserts, brisket sandwiches and all of the beef jerky. I then went to the Buccees shot glasses. Of course, I took pictures of the Buccees truck along the way. The staff was friendly and able to help me find what I was looking for. My friends and I shopped and ate for two hours! Since there isn't a place to eat, we ate inside my friend's car. The bathrooms are clean with no wait time. I enjoyed looking at the artwork when I entered the bathroom. I noticed there were other products that looked like it belonged to a Hallmark store and fishing store. Buccees has whatever you need and more. The brisket was delicious and I loved the sauce. The sandwich was just enough for me. My friends and I had a fantastic time perusing Buccees and now I know why people are obsessed.

It's so much more than a gas station, it's like a giant convenience store, grocery store, and gift shop all in one. They sell just about everything, and it's fun just walking around to see what you'll find. While we were there, a woman realized her son was missing, and it was scary to witness. Thankfully, the Buc-ee's staff immediately jumped into action to help, and after several minutes, he was found safe. It was nice to see how quickly everyone responded. I had always heard people rave about the jerky, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The jerky I bought tasted spoiled and had an unpleasant flavor. Considering how much it cost, it definitely wasn't worth the money for me. My son really wanted one of the Buc-ee's fleece throw blankets, so we picked one up for about $15, and he loves it. My husband and the kids also ordered the brisket sandwiches, and they all thought they were really good. I tried a bite, but it just wasn't my favorite. Buc-ee's is definitely worth visiting at least once. The atmosphere is impressive, the store is huge, and there's an incredible selection of food, snacks, gifts, and souvenirs. I just wish my experience with the jerky had been better because I left feeling disappointed that it didn't satisfy the craving I'd been looking forward to.

Food City, Calhoun, GA.: October 7, 2020…read more Is this the way Food City treats all customers with disabilities? I don't like being treated like a thief. And, I guess it is true what they say, it takes one to know one. I'm disabled. I'm too close to meeting my LORD GOD ALMIGHTY to break ANY of HIS COMMANDMENTS. But every time I go into Food City, I feel like Charles Manson on parole. I guess I am kind of scary, I have a beard, and problems with my hands and feet, like that Jesus guy, and I go around talking to employees and Thanking employees for being there during the COVID crisis. Such unacceptable and suspicious behavior, especially in this day and age. I went in late one Saturday night a couple months ago to get special cat food for motherless kittens I had been bottle-feeding. I called my friend to clarify info on what kind of food I should get for the kittens. Then I put my cell-phone in my shirt-pocket and drove the cart around to get some groceries for myself. Then, there he was, at the end of every aisle, a young employee with his cell-phone following and watching me. Since I'm not doing anything wrong, I don't care how much they watch me, but in this COVID time period I'm not going to sit and wait endlessly to get checked out after being humiliated and treated like a common criminal. That night, after young James-Bond-boy-sacker followed me around the store spying on me, and I went and sat in line because their computer system was down, again, I got off the disability cart and wobbled out the door and went and bought cat-food at their competitor instead. So, today I went to Food City again, because of its closeness, to get milk and cat food, and I got a few other items, and then I was being watched again. I ignored it, told the guy in the meat department about it, after I told him I appreciate the job he does being there. I always tell that to the check-out people because I am truly thankful, they are there, and they are usually very nice. But while I sat there social distant from the one customer at the one cashier that was open, ringing up things endlessly, I heard another employee coughing non-stop on the self-serve. I'm paranoid of getting sick, and I sure don't want to get sick from a grocery store visit, especially at a place I'm not treated so great to begin with, so I headed out the door, left my electric buggy of groceries behind the one customer woman in the one open lane with a cashier, still being processed. Someone, does not like the looks of me, I guess. Or, maybe it's that, "it takes one to know one thing" about thieves. Because when the store first opened, it was at the beginning of COVID, and people were panicking over toilet paper and bread and meat. On one of those days I was in the bread aisle, sitting on the disability buggy, while the manager was on his cellphone on the other side of a table covered with loaves of bread. He must have been talking to upper management, because he was explaining how he had it out and displayed and had more in the back stocked up for when people panic-bought all that was on the shelves. I noticed they price-gouged during that rough time for everyone on a lot of items during the beginning of the COVID panic. So, if someone doesn't want my business, that's fine, I can always go somewhere else, even if I have to drive further. So, young James-Bond-boy-sacker, and mr. toilet paper and bread hording manager, I found a place down the street and others across town that don't treat me like you do. So, enjoy selling your overpriced items to someone else, or is that maybe why you have a problem with theft? Or, is it just your karma? I have to give a review with number of stars. If I was rating the store, its NICE employees, location and those type of things only, I would give it a Five Star review. But because I am reviewing - it's over-priced stock for the area, and the unkindness, and disrespectfulness of some of the people, I will split the stars in half, because to grade the whole store with Zero stars would be as wrong to the good people who work there as the treatment I received there from the bad people.
