We wound up getting regular fries as they were out of curly fries and also onion rings. It took almost an hour to get our food and were overcharged, which was refunded when I brought it to their attention. The food was outstanding, but I had to ask for the fries as they didn't put them in my bag. This was corrected. From now on I'll order ahead. They definitely could use some help. There was only one preparer working. I will continue to go there now that I've learned to order ahead.

They pack a lot of foods in the area. It was crowded when we arrived. I think there were 6 people ahead of us and very little room to walk around. There was lots of produce and people picking up to go orders of steaks, ribs and smoked pork chops. I was thinking about a steak and the aromas definitely had me wanting steak. They were sold out of the ribs and smoked pork chops. We were lucky enough to get a t-bone and a ribeye. They looked great. I also picked up fresh yellow squash to stew. We had 3 meals from the 2 steaks. The steaks were delicious and the meat tender. If you are interested in their meats for sale on the weekends, please call ahead to reserve your selections. Next time we will call ahead so hubs can get the ribs he was hoping to eat.

Get Loaded is a fairly new (I think) food truck that's come on my radar with the advent of food…read moretrucks visiting neighborhoods to serve folks in the midst of COVID-19. I got word they were gonna be parked at a place not too far from where I live, so I made the drive over to check it out. Get Loaded offers loaded...everything! Pretty much any medium that's ripe for toppings, they do it. Loaded fries, loaded potatoes, loaded nachos, and loaded fry breads are their main offerings. Loading combos vary but are available across all bases; I recall BBQ, buffalo chicken, queso, bacon, etc. All of it sounded good. They were fairly busy but doing a great job politely encouraging customers to practice social distancing. I was impressed at how carefully the gentleman who took my order handled the payments; he would simply offer the device through which you'd swipe your card out of the window. He never touched the card at all! All the staff was wearing gloves, too. I tried the queso fries: waffle fries loaded up with queso, ranch, bacon, and jalapeños. Overall, I liked them a good deal. The queso was white queso (my favorite - no fake nacho cheese for me, please!) and the jalapeños gave it a pretty strong kick. I could've done with the bacon being a liiiittle bit crispier and in slightly larger chunks. The majority of my fries were cooked to a perfect crispness, but a couple of the bigger ones had a slightly rubbery quality. One warning: this is food to be eaten as soon as it's delivered to your hands. I'm glad I sat in the car and ate mine, because it would've gotten soggy on the way home. Still, it was really tasty fresh. I got my boyfriend some buffalo chicken nachos that I brought back to the house. These held up surprisingly well, better even than my fries held up in the 10-15 minutes it took me to eat them. The buffalo chicken was chunked up in bite size pieces and was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I'd definitely visit this food truck again. I hope they continue to see success - I'd love to try out some fry bread one day. Never had that before. :) Remember, since this is a food truck, check their social media to see where they are before you head to the address listed on Yelp!

Second, the portion was great for the price. Third, the flavor of the sauce & seasoning was fantastic. The staff was so nice. I think the only thing I would change would be to make it pulled chicken. Other options included brisket & pork. BTW, I reheated my leftovers in the airfryer & they were just as good the second time around. Support local!!

I love Duncan Farms!…read more I recently moved back to the area and was looking for a CSA or a place to get local eggs and produce. Searching around I found Duncan Farms and was also excited they offer a compost program, which I promptly signed up for in Huntsville (it's only $35/mo, they pick up your compost bucket once a week and they use it on the farm and give you store credits and freebies.) Why am I writing this review? Well, I decided to visit their little farm store recently and loved that I could get fresh veggies, farm made bacon (I'm vegetarian but felt good about buying locally from a place where they treat their livestock with respect), local honey, the most delicious small batch goat cheese that I've ever tasted, and more. Check out their website, sign up for a CSA and their compost program and you will feel good about giving back.

It's cute from the outside and clean albeit a little dated on the inside. Pastries are stored in a glass case to the left as you enter. I was somewhat surprised to see that there are full meal options to order as well. It was empty when I walked in so I'm not sure if people eat lunch here or not. I was just in for the pastries! A bell rang softly when I entered and someone emerged from the back to help me. She was nice enough and grabbed my goodies for me from the case. The selection was a little limited but it was after lunch so I bet most stuff goes in the morning. They did have a goodly number of donuts but I'm not a huge donut person. I got an orange roll and a sticky bun/pecan roll. I took them home to share with my husband later. The sticky bun was the better of the two items, with toasty nuts and a good amount of cinnamon. The orange roll suffered from the slightly medicinal taste orange flavoring often has but it was decent. Both pastries were a teeny bit on the dry side, but not offensive. I'd give the orange roll a 3/5 and the sticky bun a 4/5, so overall closer to a 3.5. Worth a try if you're craving a treat; I'm glad my curiosity has been sated!
