Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. So this review is pretty standard, except I can say that I learned something new at this Walmart last Saturday. As we were walking with our items towards the Garden Center to check out, we were asked by an associate it we were ready to check out. I thought she was the check out person in Garden and was going to go back with us and take care of us. Nope! She was actually a mobile check out clerk. She had a buggy and a scanner and if we were paying via card, was able to check us out, bag our stuff and print a receipt. Pretty cool process actually. If you are used to Walmart then you will be familiar with this place. No issues and will continue to use for our shopping needs.

Bakery department has a good selection of breads and dessert (cakes, cookies, ice cream cakes, etc) available and at similar prices as you would pay anywhere else. They have really good rates for the propane bottle exchange too (less than $17). Staff is always friendly and helpful and keep checkout lines moving quickly. Overall store cleanliness is always spot on. Not a lot of clutter or appearance that they need to do cleaning. Really like this store and continue shopping here.

They charged her for 2 quarts of ice cream and never delivered it even though they report that they did on the website. This may not seem like a big deal to most people but to my grandmother it is. When I called Walmart in Attalla they could not do a thing. Not even make it right by just delivering the products that they charged her for. They tried to give me a damn number. The first extremely rude person that I spoke with was April. I pulled a Karen and asked for what I thought was going to be the manager and a dude name Matthew picked up the phone and tried to give me a number to call. He also went into some word vomit about "our drivers" and "insurance". "Our drivers:" and this Walmart is the ones that charged a 90 year old lady that has been a LOYAL customer for more years than that assistant Matthew has been alive. Hell he wasnt even alive when Walmart was where Johnsons is now. My problem is this TERRIBLE service recovery. I am bypassing the actual store manager (Matthew introduced himself as store manager) and am calling Walmart corporate tomorrow. This is no way to treat loyal customers. Disgusting and lazy as hell. People don't always come in prepared to shop "Aldi's way" and when they don't-they get someone at the register who is going to make sure they don't come back. The customer is still the king - Aldi's prices aren't that much lower than their competitors that you'll pay less to get treated poorly. Bathroom was dirty too.
