HORRIBLE customer service at this location. I am a frequent customer who shops often at Mens Warehouse & recently moved here to Houston. I've bought several suit sets from Men's Warehouse & even used their services when my husband and I got married...but today, actually this morning... after calling them about a clearance shoe that I had almost purchased yesterday, I reached out to the store hoping that the gentleman who assisted me was available to help get my items that I wanted together so that I can come by & purchase them today. So when I call, another gentleman answered the phone & after asking him if he was the gentleman that helped me yesterday, he said no. I then started to ask him about the clearance shoes & describe the shoe that I saw yesterday & as I was talking to him, a female came on the phone who seem like she just grabbed it, telling me that I had to come in & look at the shoe because they couldn't help me over the phone. I was a little taken back because there was a very small inventory of clearance shoes in this location & it would've taken just a moment for them to pull the shoe out of the clearance area & put it "on hold" but she couldn't do this because she was too busy or she didn't feel like providing customer service as she showed that she lacked professionalism. After she tells me that she couldn't put the shoes on hold or pull them aside for me even after telling her that I wanted to come by & pick them up today after we got off the phone, I proceeded to that location to try & purchase these shoes. Once I got there, she tried to be friendly and I politely told her, I'm the one who called about the clearance shoes & I can get them myself. She didn't want to help me over the phone, so I did what she told me to do during our phone conversation which was come by & get them myself. I looked over their clearance section in case I saw anything else that I may have wanted to purchase & saw a pair of pants that were also on clearance. They were gray draw strung cargo pants in a "slacks type material" & I remembered getting them at another Men's Warehouse location but in a larger size (since their clearance items were limited). I get into the dressing room to try in the pants. I then see a sign that says "text MW1128 to 66960" & get $20 off a purchase of $100. So after trying on the pants & letting this absolutely RUDE person continue to assist me, she went ahead and told me that I can only use this coupon once and thst it looks like I already used it yesterday. She could've found a more professional way to say this, but instead decided to be confrontational & unprofessional with me. I then told her that my husband hadn't signed up yet with this program and asked if I could get him to sign up, would I be able to use the $20 off promotional coupon sent via text. She kept going back & forth and so I decided to call the Willow Brook location since I made a purchase with them yesterday. This lady had the audacity to tell me that "the store manager wasn't even scheduled to work at that location." I looked at her w/confusion as if her telling me this was a solution to help resolve the issue I had with wanting to make a purchase & utilizing the promotional coupon. So I called the Willowbrook location & speak to an assistant manager. I explain the situation with wanting to purchase the $90 shoes that were on clearance as well as a $19 pants that were also on clearance at the Spring location to see if I can purchase them at the Spring store & then return them in Willowbrook location so that I can utilize the $20 coupon. The gentleman at the Willowbrook location said that he had remembered me & said yes he would absolutely love the opportunity to assist me with resolving this issue. He also ended up telling me that these items were refundable anyway & that they were not an all sales are final, even though they were on clearance. After I get off the phone with a Willowbrook location I turn around & tell this lady that I'm gonna put these items on hold and will be right back. keep in mind she hears me having this conversation over the phone with a Willowbrook location and I tell her that I just need to get a hold of my husband so that he can text the number & get the coupon code for the $20 off $100 purchase, she then proceeds to tell me that she can't put these items on hold and then if somebody asks for them, she'd have to sell them. I told her she could do whatever she needed to do & that I'll be back to pick these items up if they were still here. I don't understand why she couldn't have just been polite & just tell me what the policy was if they couldn't hold clearance items which I'm not sure is the truth because I shopped at three different locations for Mens Wearhouse yesterday & all three locations were able to hold items for me up until I came to pick them up.

I spoke to the young man at the desk and he told me it was only for registration purposes to see who was in line. That is complete garbage. I have never walked into a business where before they will help you, they hold you hostage by requiring I provide them with your personal information when you don't want to. We all know that as soon as I put that in that's when the clock starts and I start receiving marketing emails out the kazoo. If they would've asked me to give them my email for marketing purposes, I would have been more than happy to consider that request and give them what they wanted if that's what I wanted to do. I've never been in a store that did this to you and for that reason I will not do business with Men's Wearhouse ever again. For what it's worth, I am a longtime customer of men's warehouse, now retired so I don't shop in there as much as I used to, but when I was in business, I spent tens of thousands of dollars in that buying suits over 30 years they just lost a good .

My intentions in writing this review is so that management and corporate will see this and…read morehopefully improve on their process and turn around time for ordering and renting suits. This is a late review, as, this pertains to my experience with Al's for my wedding weekend which was in late October 2020. Now that the steam coming from my ears have worn off, and I've had a bit of time to adjust to married life and calm down a bit, it's safe to say, I can write a constructive review. So, for this store, the experience was pleasant, but I wouldn't say that it was great. I interacted most with Quentin (Assistant Store Mgr., I believe), and the store manager (Priscilla). My initial wedding date was April 2020, but had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Much of the communication then became me taking the initiative to call them and follow up with them regarding the suit rentals for the groomsmen, and any changes/updates due to COVID-19. I hadn't heard from the store in months, and only when I started to get the ball rolling were communications happening back and forth. We ended up having to postpone our wedding to October 2020. We ordered the Fantasy-Midnight Blue Tux (slim fit), but opted out of the vest and the bow tie, as I didn't prefer the vest and had ordered a specific bowtie from a different store. I acknowledge that we ordered the slim fit, however, we really tried our best to work with the groomsmen (as they all lived out of state) to go and get fitted asap, and despite having to switch up the groomsmen party at the last minute, due to COVID, we/I made sure to provide all the measurements asap. With that being said, Quentin, Priscilla, and any store associates, should have informed us that the suits tend to run small(er), and despite the measurements being provided, maybe we should size up a bit. I say this, because once we picked up the suits, none of the suits fit any of our groomsmen, they all ran too small. I think poor training and lack of knowledge definitely played a roll here. As a result, once we arrived to Austin, TX to the Lakeline Mall location, we encountered the biggest nightmare. PIcked up the suits, none of them fit, and then they ended up having to overnight us suits and pants the MORNING OF the wedding straight to our venue. Come to find out, after the wedding was over, they had overnighted us black pants instead of Midnight Blue. Of course, all of this will be appear in my wedding photos, and of course it's too late. I just wanted to reiterate that the process to order/receive suit rentals needs to change. Way too close, with little flexibility, and ultimately created a disaster for our big day. I honestly would NOT recommend using Al's Formal wear for wedding(s). Maybe prom, or if your renting just for yourself, it might be acceptable, but not for a large party such as a wedding.

We had been looking forward to coming in here for the first time, as we saw the store had a wide variety of really nice suits, shoes and shirts. We came today to get my son fitted for a few items. At entering we were greeted by a really sweet younger Asian woman and she asked what we were looking for. We let her know that this was our first time and what we were looking for so she started guiding us over to the open shirt wall to see my son's size. Everything was going great UNTIL another worker came over. An older African American woman swiftly walked up and snatched the shirt that the Asian worker was holding and said "uh uh, that's not what we do.. we need to measure him." We were all taken by surprise and I can't put into words all the things that happened next. It was a whirlwind of the older lady demeaning the younger one and rushing through measuring son. When the younger worker would try to speak the older lady would snap back quickly and contradict what she said and then she ran off, got a shirt and said "ok are you ready to check out?!" It felt as if she was rushing for us to leave! I told her know we are here taking our time to look around. She then said well what else do you need? (But rushed and with attitude). I let her know that we came to look around but were looking for ties, pants, shoes...and she interrupted and then picked out a tie after seeing a swatch of color we were looking to compliment. She kept rushing and wanting to check out... but I didn't understand why we were rushed. Finally, I said firmly that we were not in a rush... We were just looking around and taking our time to see what else you have. She seemed offended , although I said it nicely, and she said she would just take the shirt she picked to the checkout. We were glad she was gone! In the middle of all that, the younger worker had walked off because she'd been disrespectfully booted out of the conversation. We continued to walk around and look for ties and socks and even different shirts. We then found a shirt that we like better. It was still a white cotton shirt, but a higher thread count from the Reserve section. Then a third worker came... She was a more mature Caucasian lady. She asked if we needed help and we said no that we were just looking around and seeing which shirts we liked better. She was very pleasant and offered help if we needed it and walked away. We were comparing the shirts, and I took the Reserve shirt apart to let my son feel the difference and make sure it fit. We were 99% sure that we were going to keep this shirt as it was better quality and threadcount than the initial shirt we were given. All of a sudden, the African-American lady came up and said very loudly in front of other customers " uh uh ma'am, we don't open up shirts here". (However, we were at a table where they're clearly had been shirts opened up because the plastic collars had been taken out and pins were on the table... Those were previously there before us. ) also I think she thought she was talking to a five year-old kid the way she was trying to correct me. I let her know that we wanted to try this on to make sure he liked it. And she said no we don't do that. It's the same shirt that I gave you. I let her know that it in fact was not the same shirt. It was a different shirt . She contradicted me and said your shirt is at the front. I already put it there.(with an attitude.). I let her know that I had taken back the shirt that she gave at the checkout and it was with us, and I showed her the difference in the quality of the shirt. I said this is not the same shirt. It is a total different thread account and it's not see-through. She said no, and then she saw the shirts next to each other and she was going to try to prove me wrong, but then realized that they were actually two different shirts . Then she said oh well anyway we don't open up shirts to try on. I then ask her, so now that I've opened it you're not going to allow my son to try to try this on? She then said I guess it's OK but we don't do that . We proceeded to try on the shirt and we ended up purchasing the shirt, under shirts and a tie. I honestly did not even want to stay there to make a purchase because she was so rude and disrespectful not only to myself, but to her coworker. However, my son really liked what we had picked out so we proceeded with the sale. Unfortunately, she had to check us out and she not once looked me in my eye. However, she thanked my son for the purchase and wished him well. The store has a lot of great selections, the price is not super expensive and it's very close to our home. However, due to the expanse with this woman, I would not want to come back here again. I don't know if she was having an off day or if that was her regular attitude, but I truly felt sorry for her coworker.

Her quote sounded too good to be true, but I went and met with her and seen some of the other dresses that she had made. They were beautiful so and her prices were very reasonable. So, I decided to give it a shot. I must admit it sounded wayyy too good to be true. She also told us that she could make my fiancé's suit. At that very 1st visit she took our measurements. We left not knowing exactly we were going to get, even kind of nervous. But hopeful at the same time. She was very quick, and we went in for our 1st fitting. My fiancé's jacket and vest looked great, and fit him just about perfectly at the 1st fitting. I must admit I wasn't happy with my dress at all... here's where I went into freak out mode. Yani pretty much told me to trust the process. Since I had never had a custom dress made... i did not trust the process at all. By my last fitting the dress was perfect. Absolutely perfect! This past weekend was our wedding. I got so many complements on my dress. It fit perfectly. You can tell it was made just for me. I am very short and it didn't drag the ground at all. At the end of the night, I didn't even want to take it off. I want to wear it again. I'm said that it was just for that occasion.
