In the beginning, the restaurant was great with great food! But now, it's not so great. I tried the grilled shrimp dish with soft flour tortillas with it. You get 15 fairly sized shrimp, but you only get two tortillas. The dish itself is fairly large, with rice, beans, grilled onions, cheese and sour cream! You have to pay extra for two more tortillas. The dish really doesn't have much flavor. How disappointing this was.. They need to add flavor to this dish. The price is way too high for this dish at $18.50. read more

I called the clear creek location and was put on hold for a long time. It's like they wanted me to hang up, when they got back I guess something happed with the connection and they hung up. I called back got a voicemail and so I called again and was finally able to order the Supreme Burrito. My husband shows up and they didn't put my order in. Some of the food was decent which is why I am giving two stars instead of one. The fajitas were ok. The burger had no flavor. The customer service is subpar. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was absolutely gross!!! They added potatoes and bacon to it which wasn't in the menu description. I pointed this out to my waitress (after it took her 15 minutes to check after the food was brought out to the table), and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "My manager is out today." Then she walked off without an attempt to make it right. I just wanted and expected her to try to make it better...switch out for different item or apologize at the very least! She also asked if I wanted to take the soup with me to eat later. Why would take it with me when I told you earlier that it was nasty and was not a match to the menu description?!!? Saturday June 17, 2023 Visited your location on clear creek killeen texas. My husband,  my self,  our son, in law daughter, And our 2 grandchildren went to eat.  As we were pulling up around 7:30ish pm, I noticed a lady complaining about her food in the drive thru and they're was literally no cars parked outside, but we went in anyway.  ( that alone is very strange for your locations.) We get seated and informed the waitress that we needed lots of chips,  salsa,  and limes. She brought out 1 bowl of chips and 1 bowl of salsa for 6 people, really? Then she took our order and we asked for more chips and salsa, it took a little while for her to return with chips and salsa and no limes like we asked for twice before. Then they brought 1 plate at a time instead of all together. We ordered a beer and a margarita on the rocks, no salt.  The beer was hot and my margarita had sugar in it.  Almost like a limeade with everclear in it. Not a good taste at all. When I ordered my mini taquito plate, I asked for a side of shredded cheese, which she didn't bring.  So I waited for everyone to get their food and me to get my cheese.  After she finally had everyone's plate out, then she brought my cheese.  My plate was a little cooled off, waiting on everything and everyone else food to get the table.   As I stated to make my mini taquitos, there was a strange item on the plate that the onions covered up.  It looked like a huge chunk of fat. So I called the waitress over to look at it and told her I wanted a new plate since no one really knew what it was on my plate. She took it back and then the so called manager brought me the same plate back, told me it was a chunk of fat from the fajitas, and the preceeded to tell me it was ok to eat.  When I told her,  I wanted a new plate because it was cold and I didn't want to eat something that I didn't know what it was in the middle of my plate.  Then that manager told me she would take it back,  but charge us for another plate because they was nothing wrong with my original plate. I told her I wanted a new plate that was hot.  Then we never saw your staff again.  No refills,  no ticket, no nothing.   And while we were there,  there were 2 other complaints and a couple that got up and left because they didn't get waited on.   The waitress name is Ame C And your manager on duty name is Katie We will never go back to that restaurant, EVER!!! took 15 minutes just for someone to say hi. the lady doing the drive through window was extremely rude and acted like she had no care in the world. After ordering took another 20 minutes to get out food and it came out cold and tasting nasty. do not waste your money at this location. I want chicken tortilla soup!!!!. I take a break from work and go to the restaurant. The cashier first said she didn't have an order for chicken tortilla soup and only had beef soup. Call my husband back this is the right place. The manager come out and tell me this is chicken tortilla soup. Me and a friend goto get breakfast tacos this morning and I was already on the rocks about tipping because they always give me very little salsa even though I get multiple tacos. We asked the man if we could get more red salsa instead of the green salsa due to us not liking the green and he said why don't you like the green ? Like does that matter dude ? Our preference is our preference not to mention you gave us to cups (not even full) of red salsa FOR SIX TACOS. Last time I came here was when Covid was at its height and the lady working there literally asked me for my green salsa back in exchange for red and I had no issue but I was very creeped out by that considering we were deep in Covid and on lockdown. So I ordered several meals from this location totally almost $60. Order was correct. Food wasn't hot but whatever that's what microwaves are for right? Well as my husband is eating his food he finds a big hair. Wow. He's pissed I'm pissed I call the place. I know the place closed 10 minutes prior to us finding it but I know the staff are still there. I legit had to call 10 times. When the manager (Rafael) finally answered the first thing he said is "were closed." I don't care about all that I need to make a complaint this is nasty. I tell him about the hair. Move over Taco Bell(the #1 rated Mexican restaurant in the US). I was a little cautious at first because of the reviews but man oh man it was slamming. My wife and kids had chicken quesadillas while I had the beef chalupa(same thing I get from Taco Bell). All the food was fresh and hot. They got the order right; no mix ups. The customer service people previously complained about wasn't bad, wasn't great. On another note I am not an expert on Mexican cuisine( I eat Taco Bell and I had tacos from a food truck once). So I love coming here, we had the best experiences and our daughters first beans were their refried beans! but sadly our last few purchases have been awful quality. The fries used to be so awesome ! Season curly fries, but today we got some and they we're definitely cooked in rancid oil. The worst color and flavor . I had to literally spit it out I couldn't stomach a single bit. Also the last time I ordered the chicken tortilla soup for my daughter the chicken was so over cooked and shredded super tiny yet had shards of bones all through it. Breakfast tacos are awesome. I'll stop by two or three times a month after dropping my son off at school. The spicy shrimp platter is really good too. I usually just get extra rice instead of the other sides, but the shrimp is awesome!! My son loves the horchata. Sometimes, we come just for that. read more

I don't know what the first reviewer was expecting, but her assessment was way off. Meños is one of the few Mexican restaurants in Killeen that is actually worth going to, and now that they've opened a branch on a Clear Creek, I expect to eat there a lot more often. They might have a smaller menu than some places, but the quality of food is amazing. I have never had an issue with the service in any of their restaurants, and that alone says a lot. Thanks for opening this branch, guys! If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offer a larger selection of beers on draft. Their drink selection is otherwise pretty good. read more

Me and my boyfriend have only ever went for their breakfast burritos and breakfast tacos, but every time either one of us would go, the customer service was top tier and they're very open to help clear any confusion about the menu. The only con to the food service would be that sometimes there's an excess amount of grease in the food and it overrides the flavor of the dish. Anyhow, I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone in need of a good breakfast burrito or a couple of breakfast tacos :) 8/10 read more
