I have never felt the need to write a restaurant review more than until today. My wife and I got two plates of nachos, one without sour cream. Each had jalapeños added which were $1 each. In total the cost of the food alone was $21 minus drinks. The service was nice with lots of smiling faces and quick with us getting the food within 3 minutes. However, that did not make up for the food itself. They added sour cream to both plates. The beef was underseasoned & overcooked. The tortilla chips tasted bad, the sour cream tasted bad. Every bit of the food wasn't just bland, it tasted bad. Lastly, not long after eating a little bit of it I got food poisoning. For quality of food like this, it shouldn't even be sold. There's cheaper, better tasting food all over Killeen. We were so hungry and this was so disappointing. Do not waste your money. read more

The place is always clean, even the bathroom. I always come here every other week during the summer, just to get the nostalgic feeling this place gives me. They remember my order everytime I go there to get tacos. I love their hot sauce bar and their wall of hot sauces. I've always loved Mission Taco. The food is great, price is awesome and their house hot sauce is delicious. Unfortunately they refuse to provide tap water saying they don't have a filter so they only sell water. It's illegal to refuse free tap water to a guest at restaurants in Texas. My toddler needed water and they said the only option is to purchase a bottle. That's horrible service and goes against Texas law. Not only that but they now charge for hot sauce. I've been gone for many years and I thought Mission Taco went out of business which many have but looks like one survived and became something more than those old Mission Taco joints. This place isn't fancy but it brought back memories of cheap food for sure which I don't mind.
