I'm not coming back to this business. During the times of COVID, I went twice. I respected their outdoor sign indicating "one person at a time." However, I began to notice a pattern. While they assisted a white woman, I remained outside waiting for my turn. Once it was my turn, they did not bother to disinfect the chair where the woman had been. However, when I was done, and another white woman was coming in, they disinfected the seat. Also, the second time I went, again, I respected their policy to remain outside, once I went inside and was getting my threading done, more people began to form a line; a whole bunch of white women. That's when the owners offered them (the people waiting in line) chairs to sit on while they waited. That courtesy was NEVER extended to me. Also, on another occasion, I requested full face threading and they offered me free of charge to thread my neck. I accepted but when it was time to pay, they saw I had a 20% off coupon and they charged me for both services. I explained that she had offered it for free- i didn't even want it. But I paid AND tipped because I try to support small businesses. She called me after I left, offering 20% off the next time I went in, and when I went, I was NEVER given that 20% off. I've gone a handful of times willing to give them opportunities but they continued to show their racist microaggressions and the lack of courtesy, in comparison to how they treat white customers. It's 2020, get with the times. Dismantle white privilege. Money is money and I will be taking mine elsewhere and I'll be sure to inform BIPOC members of my community. read more

I love the beauty of henna tattoos and decided to get one today at Menifee Threading Studio! I come here all the time to get my eyebrows threaded as well, but I wanted to try this service out for the first time since they do such a great job on my brows I figured they would do a great job with henna, too. I was asked to look up a picture of a henna tattoo (I used Pinterest) to give the artist (Usha) an idea of what I was looking for in terms of the size of the tattoo/design. She takes inspiration from the image and free hands the design with her golden henna tube. We sat in the chairs in the waiting area as she held my hand while drawing and I kept my phone out so she could reference the inspiration photo. The process took about 35 minutes total and came out quite nicely! I love the flowers and really appreciated having a design done by someone whom I support so much! I love how she didn't copy the image exactly and made it her own. If you do want the image to look exactly the same, just let the artist know nicely:) but keep in mind some tattoos are more difficult than others so some parts of the design may be changed based on ability. Can't wait for my tattoo to dry and get compliments at work and from friends! Starting quote for a henna tattoo is $30 (price may change based on size of design). I haven't had my eyebrows done in years, but I recently decided to try threading. I got my eyebrows and upper lip done for the first time a few weeks ago with Pam. She was very attentive and listened to how I wanted my brows. I was nervous because my brows were already uneven, but I left pleased with how they looked. Today, I went back for a touch-up, and I'm so happy I did. My brows look even better after this visit and appear to be more symmetrical now. New to the area, so looking for place to get eyebrows threaded. After reading their reviews I decided to give this place a try. Walked in on a Saturday and it was empty so I was taken right away. Pam was nice and friendly. However, the threading was rough. It hurt quite a bit. I did mention that it hurt, she apologized but it continued to hurt. I just got through it. I have been threading my eyebrows for about 10 years so I am well aware that it does not feel wonderful, but I also know it does not have to hurt to the point that this session did. My eyebrows were sore for about 3 days. I was hopeful I had found my new place for threading but sadly I did not. read more

I'm from out of town, and was visiting family and decided to go get our eyebrows done. So I took my daughter for her 1st time getting her eyebrows threaded (12 yrs old) she usually gets them waxed. There was an older lady working and she was the most friendly and patient person! My daughter was not thrilled with the whole experience, and after she began she decided this wasn't for her!
