I love this place because I usually only spend around $4-5 since I'm able to be in charge with how much ice cream I can have and how much I want to spend. There have around over 10 flavors and there's a good variety of them. I personally enjoy vanilla snow with hard chocolate shell! You're able to try samples as well. The service isn't great. The employees aren't enthusiastic and don't seem to enjoy being there. Otherwise, it's self served. The ambiance is okay. A typical frozen yogurt type of shop. Unfortunately no unique designs on the walls. There's a little bit of seating indoors but they also have outdoor seating as well. read more

How I heard of this place: I first learned of Menchie's more than a decade ago, while traveling across country, and my cousins in Utah walked us to their local FroYo shop. Type of cuisine: Frozen yogurt in a variety of flavors with a plethora of toppings to choose from - sauces, boba, crumbled candies, cookies, brownies and more. Ambiance: Bright and vibrant, the pinks welcome patrons and fans of Menchie's into the cute space. Cool on a hot summer day, there are a handful of customers seated inside enjoying their self-made sundaes, while others choose to sit on the patio in the heat. The cashier is in a circular space with cash registers and the ability to watch customers from any angle. What I ordered: My kids were in charge of selecting flavors and toppings - including S'mores, Vegan Chocolate Mousse, Cheesecake, Cookies & Cream, Mango Sorbet, and more. They topped their concoctions with gummies - sweet and sour, Oreo, Nutter Butter, white chocolate chips, strawberry and mango popping boba, caramel sauce, whipped cream, maraschino cherries, rainbow sprinkles, fresh strawberries, and even more. What I loved: The mango sorbet was delightful and the perfect summer treat. Why I loved it: Everyone can find something they like and add to it more than anything you could ever want. This menchie's hit the spot! I came in 10 minutes before closing and it was still pretty busy. I always get the original tart, and I also tried toasted marshmallow and cookies and cream. The marshmallow was pretty sweet but delicious! They offer many toppings and the station was clean. I love the crunchy white chocolate chips with the tart yogurt. My cup was around $6. Definitely one of the best froyos I've had. The only wish is that there were more flavors! FYI -- the hours on yelp are wrong. I'm glad Menchie's is still around but I feel like the service and quality has gone down. When we came in, I thought it wasn't open because the sign wasn't lit up and there was no one at the cashier. There was one employee there and she would not be present until there's a customer that comes in. Also the machines don't look very maintained and there is a lack of flavors. This is the saddest FroYo place I've ever seen. I'm upset I gave it a second chance. Out of the 14 potential flavors, only 11 were actually operational, and of those 11 there was only 1 classic flavor that would be desirable to somebody over the age of 7. When I pressed down the clamp it came out looking like half melted soft serve. Then the flavors... they come boxed in little ketchup cups, not sustainable or covid-aware. The countertops were messy with crumbs and sticky droppings and there were limited options of fresh fruit. The gummy candy was hard, stale, and the corn syrup was dripping off the boba. I felt terribly guilty after this consumption. I'm disappointed that this is the situation with such a great location. read more

Staff often seem irritated by customers coming in and the sauce (magic shell, caramel, etc) dispensers are often dirty. Last time I went in, they didn't even have magic shell or caramel. The oasis of Upper Queen Anne. After the debacle of the Fremont Fair, I was ready to hightail it out of there. But it seemed like Metro was slowed by the heavy traffic in the area. Seeing the growing crowd waiting in the same predicament I was, I headed for the hills. I have done the walk down from the top of Queen Anne to Fremont. But the return trip up the hill is quite the miserable journey, particularly in 80 degree weather. I huffed and puffed, leaving me dehydrated and thirsty. Finally, I reached Queen Anne Ave and the business row there. Knowing that there was a Menchie's up here, I rushed there to quench myself. I have had frozen yogurt, but never at one of those self serve froyo places. Menchie's is the first place that I have tried with this model. The store is a little cornershop in the middle of the main business area of QA. A nice extra about this location is they have some outdoor seating in addition to what is found inside the store. While the Menchie's website mentions the many flavors offered, only a handful can be offered at each store daily. They have the classic vanilla alongside citrus and dessert flavors, as well as sorbets. I would say about a dozen or so to choose from. After grabbing your base flavors, you can add toppings including candies and fruit. They even have Asian favorites like boba and mochi. I am not sure what the price per ounce here. But the photo that I have posted consisted of vanilla and a little cookie dough froyo with strawberries, boba, mochi and a maraschino cherry for just under $4. If you are a frequent diner here, you should consider getting their Smile card to earn free yogurt. The yogurt here hit the spot and helped me to refuel. I really liked the tasty strawberries and particularly the mochi topping. The boba is not like the kind in boba tea. They pop in your mouth when you chomp on them. I liked the yogurt that I had in Menchie's. Now that I know what this chain is all about, I think I will give the one down the road from my home in Bellevue a try. If you are looking for a refreshing treat on the hill in Queen Anne, Menchie's is the spot by default as it is the only froyo spot there. Fortunately, it is a good option. read more

This is the dirtiest location I have ever seen. If their store is so dirty I wonder how clean their frozen yogurt machines are. The whole place needs a Clorox wipe down, I shudder to think what the insides of the machines look like if the counters, doors, tables, floors, handles, scoops are all so gross. FINALLY! Self-serve froyo in the Seattle area! I heard of Menchie's yesterday from my friends and said there was a self-serve froyo hat just opened on Queen Anne. Self-serve froyo? That's all I needed to hear! The place has a very light and friendly decor, as well as employees that tell you how to do the self-serve thing if you're a newbie. They had many flavors, but I tried out Dole Whip (amazing) and Pomegranate Raspberry Tart. The combination was incredible, and I added fruity mochi and white yogurt chips. The total ended up being around 5.50 (it's at 43 cents an ounce, a bit more than the 30 cents in Cupertino, CA) which is still way cheaper than a small with 3 toppings at Red Mango. The first time I went, I got a little crazy with the vanilla and chocolate fro-yo, and barely left any room for delicious berries and bites of chocolate. The next time, I knew better. I piled some fresh blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries into my bowl, added some fro-yo, added some more berries and bananas (and a small spoonful of m&m's), and topped it off with a maraschino cherry. Delicious AND safer to eat---- berries don't melt! I spent just under $6 each time on my tasty, tasty treat... and I enjoyed every minute of it. I understand the supervisors are like 20 but that is no excuse to be lazy to customers and for the shift supervisor to be yelling at a new hire in the back (even though he was being extremely rude to him). They also had nasty fruit that is well below anyone's standards of exceptable to eat (fly infested/moldy). When the store supervisor went to check the levels of emptiness he still neglected to change the fruit. Disgusting. I've tried almost all the chains, so when menchies opened up.. my friend took me and I was delighted with all the cute colors, and fruits with faces (yes.. i'm a sucker for those cute useless things). Self serve yogurt! You get to get as much as you want! They have little side testers to allow you to try it before you buy it ;) So nice of them! So don't be shy, and try them all! I tried a lot of their flavors.. and surprisingly like a lot of them! Very unusual for me.. as I tend to stick with the original! Original Yogurt at Menchies - Not so good. If you want original. stick with Red Mango! You can't go wrong with that Other Flavors, Especially Fruity ones - Delicious and get your Froyo on at Menchies! It actually taste more like sorbet, than fro-yo. So a very refreshing twist. Been going here for years at this location and have always loved it . Tonight was such a different experience it was so dirty and gross. All of the labels for the froyo were hanging off and covered in condensation and you could see the mold behind the stickers. There was yogurt dripping all over the floors. The candy was so messy with spoons all over the counter and gummy worms were in the chocolate chips. I tried to use the Hershey shell and it was completely empty , and when my husband used the caramel, chocolate fudge came out ! There were flies everywhere and other customers were complaining about it . We stood at the counter for a few minutes with no one coming to ring us up . After paying over $20 for two froyos we got back to our car only to find out our froyo was completely OFF. It tasted like spoiled milk and we both immediately threw it away outside . It was disgusting. And the place was disgusting. Seemed like a major health hazard . Maybe they got new owners??maybe the person working there hates it?? It's never been this bad before . read more

The rate is $.40 per oz. If you ask me, this is rather expensive but the variety of the store and the self-serve aspect makes up for it. They offer some 80+ flavors and change up the menu every day. Sometimes they may offer flavors that are NOT listed in the main web site. Some of the best flavors I've tasted are red velvet, taro, banana, and boysenberry tart. The classic tart is also very good. The froyo itself has a nice and thick texture. The bad part is that the froyo melts pretty quickly, even in cold Seattle. There are many toppings to enjoy: candy, cereal, cookies, fresh fruit, cheesecake, mochi, syrups, and etc. Careful, because fruit can add a lot of weight to your purchase. When you walk into the store, the cuteness is overwhelming. The cups you fill and the spoons you get are Menchies franchised. They even offer chapstick (with the Menchies label) and Menchies apparel throughout the store. The furniture is very modern and clean-looking as well. One of the best parts about the store is that they always provide small condiment cups so that you can sample flavors. It is easy to fill your appetite through sampling flavors alone and this is also the best way to experience all of the flavors. Heck yes. I hate to say it, but I was some what disappointed with Menchie's. I was excited to have walked by this place and learned that it's self served fro-yo (similar to yogurtland) so I had to go and try it. There are a variety of flavors but since it was a chaotic night, I only got to try the white raspberry, smores, tart, chocolate, and vanilla. I didn't like them with the exception of the tart and vanilla. I thought they were a little too rich and sweet for my liking. The tart was well...a little too tart for my liking. I can't help to be partial to other fro-yo places when it comes to tart though. The vanilla was alright, but it didn't taste anything special so I stuck with that. I do have to give this place credit for their topping bar. I think it's the most extensive topping bar I've seen so far. I especially loved how they had marshmallow creme too. I definitely would love to come back and give this place another shot. From reading the other reviews, I would come back and give the pineapple fro-yo a shot. read more

I absolutely LOVE Menchie's interior decor and logo and the branding... but not really a fan of their yogurt options. They didn't have original :( How can they not have original? The line gets so long that it crowds the front of the entrance and well, I got snapped at by this mean lady because I left a gap in between me and the person in front. Like hello lady, have you heard of not invading people's space? My point is... the layout kind of sucks therefore I got yelled at by a crabby, impatient lady. Ugh.
