Overall, the setting is really cute. Its bright and spacious inside, and although there are usually a lot of customers, there's always somewhere to sit. One of the liveliest places in Walnut Grove right now for sure. There are tons of flavours to choose from, and a lovely assortment of toppings so you can always try out new combinations.
HOWEVER, the reason for the low rating?
It has the absolutely worst customer service that I have ever had the ill fortune of being served with. When I went, there were four staff on shift; two were sitting with their friends at a table and the other two were doing their job and standing behind the counter -which is fine. No big deal, you wanna hang out with your friends? thats cool.
But the thing that ticked me off was this: There was a customer who came in who was wearing a particular item of clothing. The moment she left, they publicly began bashing her and making rude comments out loud. Not only this, but they did this with another customer as well, not caring that other customers could hear.
I know me and my friend werent the only ones turned off by this display of behaviour; the couple behind us gave the staff a glare and had an annoyed expression on their face when they left as well.
I can easily say that I will definitely be avoiding Menchies if those certain people are working that day. So just beware. - PS. I went at nighttime, so perhaps day is better. read more
