The Earl grey n honey, brown butter pecan, maple walnut, and rum raisin are equally nice. So many more flavors to try but I always return to these. My friends love the salted caramel and strawberry and coconut too. So glad New West has a store and people here don't need to go all the way into Port Moody for it.

The mango syrup glued everything together but was more jam-like than jelly-like which I really appreciated. Both had sweet cream ice cream on top which was nice as it added another creamy base while not clashing with the fruit. At $18.95 CAD for a toast, it is definitely a splurge but might be worth it.

It's a great place to buy Avalon products and it's refreshing to just get a snack such as a big scoop of ice cream or coffee with pastries items like an apple strudel and chocolate brownies while buying milk, eggs or yogurt etc. Their staff are friendly and would offer to warm up the foods so you can enjoy it on site, either at the dining area or outside on the benches. It's a convenient stop to buy dairy products - easy to park and return the Avalon glass bottles each trip. I also like that they carry specialty items like goat milk and mango kefir. The option to sit and dine in at Old Farmhouse Kitchen makes for a welcoming and cozy ambiance. The blackforest cake is also lacking in the kirsch taste. I can barely taste it. Maybe I had a such a great tasting blackforest cake before that many places do not match up to it. Bottom line: just get the shortbread cookie. Get the cakes only if you're really craving it and this is the only place nearby for it.

I ordered mine with less ice and 50% sugar. When I came to the shop to pick up my drink, I also ordered an Avocado sandwich to bring home with the drink. My daughter had raved to me recently about this Avocado sandwich. Brought home the drink and sandwich, and shared them both with her. I knew from past experience that the Artisan sandwiches at Tealips were quite good. It had been quite a few years since the last time I had one of their sandwiches, and I don't think they had this Avocado sandwich at the time that I had last ordered one of their sandwiches. The Avocado sandwich was indeed, very good. It's made with Foccacia bread and comes with lettuce, cheese and tomato. The Foccacia bread was soft, and not toasted. Not sure if I'd ever tried plain, untoasted Foccacia bread before. I usually have it toasted. I found that it was still very enjoyable though, untoasted. This worked better for my daughter too as she was having a bit of a sore throat at the time, so the softer bread was better on her throat. The Brown Sugar Milk tea was soooo good! Havn't had a Brown Sugar Milk Tea in quite awhile and this one was really good. Also, it was still plenty sweet at 50% sweetness. Hard to imagine now that I used to order all my drinks at 100% sweetness. No wonder I used to gain weight back in the days when I first started drinking bubble teas and I had them at 100% sweetness! There were a bunch of different promotions on in the shop, including one where you could donate blood and get a free bubble tea. I might consider taking part in that.
