Got shrimp & grits and the shrimp were yummy, piping hot but the grits were room temp. Same thing kind of happened with the entree. Fish was cooked nice and came out hot, but the mashed potatoes under the fish was room temp.

It didn't used to be this way but the past four or five months the shopping experience here has been steadily declining. Today at noon'ish, the hot foods counter was bare. Absolutely nothing in the trays. The cold foods were full but- tired looking. I no longer get anything from the prepared foods anyway, as I was on the losing end of an interrogation about potato salad last month (. . . and exactly why is it orange?) that was never going to provide an answer from the uninformed employee. Today, I did get prepared chicken salad this trip as it's delicious when it's made to their original recipe (rotisserie chicken, mayo, celery) but not so much when the chef skips the mayo. And celery. It looks like it has everything in it this time, so I'm hoping. Today in Produce, I did find two tomatoes on the vine. Not the delicious, locally-grown ones I found in here last week, but beggars can't be choosers, so I grabbed the last ones. Last week it was scallions. No scallions- why? That day, the helpful employee didn't deny it was odd, he just shrugged and said, "Maybe in a couple of days?". I could maybe excuse the empty shelves and the clueless employees except for the cashiers who know better than the customer. Today was the third visit I asked the employee conducting a painfully slow checkout process not to squash everything in my order into only one of my shopping bags but . . . nah, he knew best. so all went in one bag. Then he backed the cart out of his way into the line of people waiting patiently behind me, (insted of pulling it forward) saying, "You want your cart?" Why do I want that cart? I'm happy to put it back in the cart line without you running some poor woman's foot over with it, but sure, I'll drag the cart around the counter and through the line because I'm standing at the end of the counter emptying half of what's in one of my bags and filling the second bag with it anyways, so . . . I started shopping at TFM for the quality, the variety of unusual items and the pleasant employees who were helpful, doing a job, and trying to do it well. No clue what's happening, but I can't annoy myself here any more. But now I have to find Malted Milk Balls somewhere that even come close to TFM ones, and that's not gonna happen anytime soon!

A stock boy named Mike was exceptionally kind and helpful. A few months ago , another very kind gentleman helped me carry heavy boxes again. I think his name was John? You do not find good customer service anymore, anywhere these days - so please keep up the good work guys! Since WAHLBURGERS HAD THE BEST LOCATION POSSIBLE! It must have been the busiest Food Truck at this Festival since it was next to the Entertainment Tent where great things happened I saw lines of hungry people! My usual stop was here at WAHLBERGERS AND LO AND BEHOLD, what did I notice..... Paul Wahlberger was missing at the grill, this time because of a previous engagement BUT, not to worry.....great food and service were still being served for the hundreds by my photo I took of his replacement.... My apologies I forgot his name! I usually never do that! Yet, this now Iconic Green WALHBURGERS FOOD TRUCK IS NOTICEABLE FROM GREAT DISTANCES! As soon as was walking toward the Event on Coddington Street I saw the Truck and a smile came across my face that a would be hot burger with my name on it is waiting! She finished with that party and told us "I'll be right with you after I put in this food order." We say "ok." But she was gone a long time. She finally came back, with a couple drinks for the other party, talked to them a bit, then left again, telling us, again, she'd be right with us. Came back with 2 more drinks for the other party. And left again. At this point we have nothing but menus. No water, no popcorn, nothing. We're near the host stand, and I can see him, just standing there picking his fingernails. I'm thinking maybe he should pitch in if this one waitress is overwhelmed with this one other party. I keep nudging my wife, saying "let's leave and go somewhere else." She says no, so we wait. Finally, here comes the waitress... But she doesn't come to us! She goes to the OTHER party and asks "you ready to put the rest of your food in?" They don't even have their apps yet, and we have NOTHING after about fifteen minutes! We're listening to them order, and it sounds complicated again, things like "no pickles on it, but a side of pickles, please." We're rolling our eyes, can't believe she's STILL ignoring us after telling us multiple times she'll be right with us. $12 for a small cheese pizza from a chain??!! $17 for a large pizza? $12 for a steak and cheese…read moresub? I get that in 2022 we are in a period of inflation, but this is crazy! We're talking 30% price increases from one year ago ... and the quality has gobe DOWN since a venture capital group bought the brand! This used to be some of the most consistent pizza in New England. Its one of those places you miss more for nostalgia sake when you are away because you grew up eating it ... and it wasn't bad. When I moved back east from LA to escape the crime LA is now famous for, I loved Papa Ginos because it wasn't the sweet ketchup sugar sauce and bread-like sauce that most New England pizza joints are known for. The sauce has a little zing and the cheese doesn't taste like bulk bagged mozzarella. You could get a small for $7 and a large for $11 and there were usually coupons. Now, even with a 20% off coupon, you are paying gourmet pizza prices for essentially chain pizza. After seeing these price increases, they just lost me. I'm not cheap ... I will pay for artesinal quality ... but this isn't that. Good luck getting what used to be sit-down/homemade restaurant prices for inconsistent chain restaurant food Papa Ginos. This is what happen when large beancounter companies take over local ones.
