Wanted to browse for a few items. But when I got into the store, suddenly remembered I needed furnace filters and a few other items. Friendly, proactive staff pointed out the location. Later, another readily available staff person helped get the item off the shelf. Found all the items I needed. They were all in the store. Great shopping trip when you can accomplish all the tasks and then some. On a previous occasion, I had ordered items online for pickup. That experience was great. Staff got the patio stones, but they had brought extra. Why? They checked every stone before loading to assure there were no cracks, chips or flaws. Very thorough. They loaded evenly so nothing would shift or get damaged. I really appreciated their care and attention to detail. Love this store. Rented a rug doctor brought it back early after cleaning the tanks and attachments. Upon service desk inspection,The women found some dog hair on the outside of the unit.Asked my husband if he wanted to take it home and clean it.The line was long and didn't want to come back he said no, So he was charged another 20.00 half of what it cost to rent.Went back to speak to mgr who was a royal B and told her it was not specified in the contract, so we will dispute it.Mgr said will fight you too! read more

This location is very convenient from the one I usually go to. It usually has everything I need since it's a little slower.The store was clean and the flow of traffic was easy to navigate. Shopping there today and asked a garden shop worker....what is the price of the hang plants these were not marked. First of all I said excuse me what is price for hang plants that were not marked. She looks at me with out saying how are you. She says they are new just put them out. She says 24 or 27 $ . I don't know. As a customer I thought she would have scanned it but no she did not. There 2 issue with this store 1st a few weeks ago they blocked off the area to buy yard care products such as lawn fertilizer there was sign saying CDC doesn't allow for AG products. But other stores were still selling it. Went to Menards in Beloit and got it. 2nd To they told me I must have mask on Wednesday even though governor order said Friday and only if you can't keep social distance which wasn't problem. Went down street to Lowe's and brought what I needed there If you wish to hire children to work there then you need to this stuff to protect them. If you hire adults this would not be need. After all if you are do affaid of the virus stay home untill they get a vaccine. Keep this in mind when asking for help on project. read more

This place has no idea what customer service means. I have never dealt with such rude employees over and over again at the same business. Until today!! These men that work in building materials act as if they are full blown hired construction crew workers, there to build for the king. When asked a question they don't take the time to look at you or answer your question genuinely. One worker was so rude he told me that maybe one of the guys down the street( referring to Home Depot or Lowes) could help me out with what I needed. Because he wasn't about to help me. Menard's is the best hardware store I've ever been to. Really great prices, frequent promotions (20% off whatever you can fit in a paper shopping bag), an easy-to-understand layout, and helpful staff. What I think outshines all that though is the selection available in the store. I was shopping for plywood for a project and wanted a sheet that wouldn't be out of place as a table surface. After looking at Lowes and Home Depot, I had almost given up hope. They had hardly any choices besides the typical veneer pieces (oak or some other hardwood veneer over a sheet) or the subfloor terrible-grade, rough, pockmarked pieces. I was so surprised how little they had, because there was so much space allocated for plywood! Then I went to Menard's and was absolutely blown away. They had everything the other two stores had, plus maybe 2 to 3 times the amount of additional items. High quality no-veneer marine plywood, super high grade plywood, hardwood (birch) plywood, and more! And at better prices than either of the other two stores. It was incredible! Even though that was just one experience, it is pretty exemplary of a typical run to Menard's. I really miss not having it in San Francisco! Anyway, it is a great place to shop and I highly recommend it. read more

We have had a lot of problems shopping here more recently. The employees from the service desk, cashiers, and the ones working in the store are all rude. If you ask anyone a question, they act like you're interrupting them. Trying to return items is a joke. Even with a receipt that says you paid cash for something, they give you an instore credit. The store it self always looks messy with shelves not being stocked or things being out of place. We'd much rather go to Home Depot where they are a lot friendlier and where it's more organized. read more

Save big money at Menard's...Not really, I always seem to take a hit when I stop here. But maybe that's just me. They do usually have some decent deals at Menard's though and as far as plants and such for landscaping they're WAY cheaper than Home Depot. read more

While they occasionally have some great deals it is not worth it. Never have I encountered such incompetent and rude employees. Unloaded three hundred dollars worth of supplies at checkout only to be told after waiting 20 mins the guy in front of you is it. Really? Lost my business. Went to Home Depot. I bought 2 vanity tops which cost $1900.00. They were being sent from Minnesota or Michigan and would arrive in approx. 2 weeks. I had to pay $79.00 for delivery to my home and extra for them to carry them upstairs. Two days later I found a better deal at another store. I could get 2 granite vanity tops for $800.00 less than what I paid at Menards and they delivered and installed for free. I went back to Menards to cancel the order. They charged me $450.00 restocking fee. They had not even been shipped yet. I knew this was my fault and expected to be charged something but not $450.00! I will never spend any more money at Menards. Since then I have bought faucets, mirrors, paint and lots of other items from a different store. That all totaled well over $450.00. Menards is losing money in the long run because of their greed. There are too many other places to shop to be treating the customers so badly. read more
