I was impressed that they were actually open at their posted hours. The place smelled clean, and items were marked fairly. You could tell many items were indeed second hand, I mean it is a used store after all. Ask anyone who has purchased second hand, and they'll tell you it is ON YOU to ensure the item is in a condition that meets YOUR needs. The chairs I bought, I knew I'd need to sink some money into to fix to *my standards*. They were $20. I then paid another $70 to rehab. I am totally fine with this! Not all people would be, but their prices reflect. Do your research, take the time with the item and then decide. They don't take returns and all sales are final. They literally have you sign a receipt acknowledging that fact. (I see zero issues with how they're running their business.) All this to say, I'll definitely be back! And to anyone new to the used shopping game, don't expect the sellers (JAMS or anyone else) to tell you the quality of an item. Unless it is NEW--it is USED. Therefore, any mention of condition is purely subjective. Interact with the item in question and decide for yourself, you're an adult (one would assume/hope). Now excuse me while I exit stage left.

Although I'm not a fan on how BBB merchandises, I do enjoy shopping at a small-town location because I'm actually able to find what I need. I had a mail-in coupon that was expiring. BBB does a great job on sending those coupons consistently. I needed to re-stock my k-cups, so having some of those coupons in my bag is always useful and convenient. Their k-cups selections were well-organized. I picked out one of the Caribou breakfast blend and headed straight to the register. There was one (1) cashier working on price-adjustments for the customer. However, there were four (4) others in line waiting. The primary cashier quickly gathered other available cashiers via the radio, and the line was efficiently cleared and everyone was well on the way to his/her vehicle. There are other choices of retailers that I can purchase k-cups at, but with BBB continuously sending coupons to me diligently, BBB has become my go-to destination for our k-cup needs and soda stream flavors/canister refills.

The first time I was told condescendingly that there was a Facebook page where they have posted all the information I would need. Then the second time I went the lady looked at me like I should know that they don't except donations during that time. the tone of voice was again condescending. Today I went in there and asked if they would take a crib rail as equipment and I was condescendingly told that that's not what equipment is "it would be bigger more expensive items". I just don't understand why you would expect the public to know the ins and outs of your business, we're not all from this area. We haven't all been coming to your business for years. After working with the district manager, he was able to make things right and offer better compensation for lost time and inconvenience. I felt, in the end, everybody really tried to make things right after everything that happened, and I truly want to believe they mean well and that things like this wouldn't happen again. I feel more confident in their resolutions, but only time will tell if something like this may happen again. If it does, however, I know the company will be there to try to make it right. My advice? Feel free to use them (they ARE friendly and truly want to help), but maybe not if you're on a time crunch. I am moving, and I had ordered a bed and several accessories (several thousands of dollars in purchases) on the 9th of August and was told it would arrive the 18th of August (just a few days before school begins for me, which was perfect). Well, the 18th rolls around and we haven't heard a word from MattressFirm, so we reach out. Turns out they made a mistake in the shipment of the bed and wouldn't have it to me until the 23rd. This move had been a huge hassle to begin with, and this has just made everything that much more of a trainwreck. The I had to call family to wait around for the bed at my apartment because I would be in class by that point and unable to intercept the delivery. For the hassle they caused, I was only offered a cheap mattress and frame to use in the interim (calling it a "bed" would be laughable). They tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favor in providing this, despite how cheap it is. I was better off getting an inflatable mattress to use from Meijer. After all this, I call them back a few days after my mattress had been delivered (they said they'd have their manager reach out to me, but he never did), and yet I'm still getting all these emails saying "you didn't rate us yet!", so I submitted one saying I wasn't satisfied, and I got a call from another manager from a different store. On top of all this, two pillows I ordered were supposedly coming from the manufacturer and have apparently been "in-transit" for almost a month now. He offered to refund the price of the pillows (about $200) and an additional small refund for the inconvenience (another $200). Considering the price we've doled out for everything (over $4,000) and having to have gone without almost all of it for almost 2 weeks now, I could hardly call this a professional business setting. I understand some of the staff I dealt with seem to be trying, but just "trying" does not make a company an excellent business establishment. I cannot in good faith recommend this company, and will be telling my friends and acquaintances to avoid using Mattress Firm going forward.
