I was appreciative of the willingness to get me connected with a quilter and also their promptness in doing so. Although it appears to be a dusty old store front when looking at the entrance from Main Street, the Quilter's Garden has a large showroom of fabrics and quilting necessities. Come to find out, they do not items in the front window because of the sun and fading of fabrics. There is also a large upstairs area where quilter groups can gather and quilt. The staff was super friendly and eager to help when I was there in person in the store as well. On-line and face-to-face, a friendly welcoming operation.

I went out to the roomy comfortable front porch while they talked sewing for another 45 minutes. We left with a ton of info. When we're ready to make this big purchase I am sure we'll do it here. AVOID THIS SERVICE! Took my machine in to be cleaned and 4…read moreissues. Took a week. When I went to get it the case was NOT closed and had a gap about 1/8-1/4 inch. Luckily they fixed it. There would be no 90 day warranty due to the "condition of machine." Apparently some work had been done previously so their work didn't matter. I should have looked at it more but I was in a hurry and left assuming it was all good as when they called they told me it was working great. Upon getting home I noticed how dirty it was! (see lint in pictures.) I can do some cleaning and that's how I took it in as I don't go beyond that in fear of doing damage. The case can be easily wiped down but so dirty! I am only posting it to show now they clearly did not clean it. If the case is this way and where I can see imagine what they left inside! Used it. Tension was off and hand wheel not fixed. Called complaining it wasn't right and not clean and they said they would fix right away. Went in, the repair did something to tension so that's fine. The lady would not answer me when I asked about how DIRTY it is! The hand wheel apparently is "fine" even though it doesn't work like I have used it for the past 15 years. Not happy at all! I've taken this machine in before and once cleaned deeply it works like new. It shakes so bad, unlike before.

They could not repair the problem, so I opened her machine to see if I could. When I did, I foundf the inside covered with lint, dust, old oil, old grease. These heartless people charged an elderly woman who is on a fixed income $99.95 for a service they absolutely did not provide. Please see the photos of the filth inside the machine... evidence they never even took the cover off. If you have had any work done, check it. If you are considering having work done, go anywhere else. I am now going to be helping her file a complaint with Better Business, and will be looking into any help that might be provided by disabled persons services.

This fabric store sells a lot of dated old fabrics. They had a very limited selection of things…read more They had a decent mesh wall with a but a lot of the stuff in there was old. It smelt like mothballs in there. You have to wash your fabric immediately once you get it because it stinks in there. All the styles of fabric were dusty and tough. Everything was overpriced and you are limited to an outdated selection of textiles and prints! The service was bad. Everybody has an attitude. I will never be back. Things have changed drastically at this store and it is not worth the hype.

No point ever going anywhere else for my fabric and trim needs. Got my curtains, upholstery, and throw pillow fabrics all for about fifty dollars. TDO is an amazing place for decorators, quilters, and costumers. I don't know for certain, but I think the inventory has to be mostly mill ends, or the prices could never be this low. So don't expect the very newest fashions, but do expect good value for your projects.
