When you have a quilt quilted at her shop she can quilt beautifully but she does not know how to…read morefinish a quilt. She cuts off the sides of the quilt up to the edge of the quilt. When doing that you cannot put a binding on that has any batting in it. She does not seem to care and thinks her way to finishing a quilt is the way to do it properly which it is not. After paying $257 for a quilt to be quilted only to have the binding look like krapp is unacceptable. I called her to advise her she needs to be asking what the customer wants or leave it alone.

The store is very cute. It is very easy to pass by because it is in a residential area. There are no other businesses around it and the signage is pretty subtle. There are minimal amounts of vintage items. There are lots of items you can find in other stores in Geneva, etc. There did seem to be an abundance of beachy items which I didn't expect in a place called Urban Farmgirl. If you are thinking that you will be checking out lots of vintage items or updated vintage items, that isn't the case. There is some of this, but mostly new items. It's a very cute store and worth a browse.

Earing/jewelry selection was big. The thing I didn't like was the older woman working there stared at and followed me throughout the store. I had ONE shirt in my hand and she was "i'll put that in a dressing room". 2 mins later I held another shirt and she was next to me again to take it to the fitting room. While I appreciated her starting a fitting room for me it was a little much. I am capable of holding a few hangers before I need a room. She was liike a shadow and I didn't appreciate it. I'm so happy with how the tree turned out. It took more hours of painting than I expected, but the team there was good about giving me instructions. They play music and I saw people of all ages painting different projects. You have to plan ahead a few weeks for when you need your items to be ready, as it takes time for them to pour the molds, dry them, for you to paint, and then wait for kiln firing and cooling especially during the busy holiday season. I love the tree's vintage charm and they've got a lot of other things you can paint at all price ranges.
